Issues of open die forging
Máčala, Daniel ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis submits the overview about issues of open die forging. It is written based on literary studies of theoretical basis with addition of pictures regarding the problematics. It generally deals with open die forging, its principles and sorting. Then the most frequently used initial semi-finished products, its heating and types of machines, are described. The main focus is put on basic forging operations which are concretely described. For the better image of usage of open die forging the examples of forging from manufacturing companies are introduce.
Bulk forming technology of cover nut
Dušek, Otakar ; Dohnal, Ivo (referee) ; Forejt, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis suggests a producing plan of the cover nut using cold forming technology. The component will be made of the structural steel 11 320 5R. Size of its assumed annual production is 800 000 pieces. The best option was chosen from four suggested production versions. A wire with a diameter of 13.2 mm was designed as a semi-product. The component will be made in four forming operations. Roll forming machine TPM 8 (produced by Šmeral Brno) with a nominal force of 1000 kN was elected for the proposed manufacturing technology. Drawing documentation was elaborated, which includes drawing of the rolling tool assembly and drawing of tools for 3rd operation (backward extrusion). The results of the economic evaluation shows that the production cost of one nut is 1 CZK.
Bulk forming technology of carrier pin
Sejkora, Petr ; Samek, Radko (referee) ; Forejt, Milan (advisor)
Diploma thesis focus on the proposal of the carrier pin production from the steel 17 021 by cold bulk forming technology with sight on the upsetting and extrusion. There were suggested two versions of the technological plan from which was one chosen as optimal. There were carried out calculation of deformation, forming and deformation resistances and forming forces for the chosen version. Machine for the part TPM 12 production was chosen on the basis of the global forming force 660 kN. Furthermore there were proposed forming tools for the second operation – feed forward extrusion. Finally there was made technical and economical evaluation.
Production of the screw
Starý, Petr ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The bachelor´s degree project deals with the production of rotating component using cold forming technology. There are described basic principles of technology, used material, tools and machines and the area of usage. Production of the screw is based on the literary studies and technical calculations. The suggested manufacturing variant consists of five steps and containing cutting, extrusion and upsetting. As raw material was chosen a wire with diameter of 12,5 mm and length of 38,6 mm made of steel 12040. For chosen variant was made technological and strength calculations for the individual operations.
Housing production by cold forming
Kouřil, Jakub ; Kunčická, Lenka (referee) ; Jopek, Miroslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the production of a part by cold forming. The subject of the thesis is the design of the technology of production of a housing with a production rate of 6 000 000 pcs/year by extrusion and tamping. The austenitic stainless steel X5CrNi18-10 is used for the production. Based on simulations, the most suitable geometric configuration of the forming operations was selected. The whole production process consists of a first cutting, two forming and a last machining and radnishing operation. Based on the calculated forming force of 175,6 kN and the required power of 425 W, the CHUN ZU CBF-83S automatic forming machine was selected. At the same time, the tool is designed and in the end a techno-economic evaluation is carried out, which also includes the calculation of the piece price considering a 15% profit, which amounts to 1,24 CZK.
Manufacturing of a connecting pin by cold forming
Koumar, František ; Peterková, Eva (referee) ; Jopek, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the optimization of the production of a rotary connecting pin, produced by bulk cold forming with a focus on upsetting and forward and backward extrusion. The resulting pin will be made of 1.4511 steel. From the three proposed variants of production processes, the optimal variant for four forming operations was selected. Extrusion tools are made of tool steel 19 830. A numerical simulation was performed to verify the suitability of the sequence of the selected variant. The size of the production batch is set at 700,000 pieces / year. In the technical and economic evaluation, the calculated production price of 1 piece of part was coMPared between machining and volume forming, at which the production costs amount to CZK 6,64. The return on this method, with an assumed profitability of 10%, was found for 568 182 pieces produced.
Production of shaft
Jančík, Petr ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is classified under the field of Engineering Technology and proposes a process for the production of a shaft made of steel 12 050 by combined extrusion. The material in question can be used, for example, for parts of mining machines, larger gears, pins or screws. In accordance with the acquired findings on the issue of volume forming, the production of the component was designed for two forming operations. A block with a diameter of 55 mm and a length of 146 mm was chosen as a semi-finished product. The production was designed on a Schuler automatic machine, which is a part of the company Metaldyne Oslavany, with a nominal force of 2 000 tons and a height of 7 meters in a series of 100 000 pieces per year.
Design of Coupling Pin Production
Blažek, Matěj ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is aimed production of pin, made from steel 11 320-5R. This piece is in accordance to serial production 500 000 pieces year -1 made by cold bulk forming. Specifically it is about heading and forward extrusion. From two production variant was chosen the one with lower strain. By calculations there was set the power needed for production that equals Fc= 368,5 kN. Because of this power there was chosen a machine AKP 3-5 from company Hatebur. In the next step there was designed method that is in the attachment to the thesis. Final step was a control whether the idea of production by simulation is correct or not.
Manufacturing of a Pin
Glatter, Jiří ; Forejt, Milan (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The work presents a proposal for the technology of production of a pin of gear assambly. The pin is used to position the wheel in a tapered roller bearing. Pin is made of 11 320.3 steel (11 320 5R), which is suitable for cold forming. Based on the study of cold forming and calculations, the methods of upsetting and extrusion were chosen. Most often, several methods are used for fabrication, which are mediated by a combined tool. It can also be made by any of the machining methods.
Production of socket wrench
Kryštof, Marek ; Forejt, Milan (referee) ; Císařová, Michaela (advisor)
This thesis propses the design of production of a socket wrench. A socket wrench is used as safety wrench for loosening safety screws of the car wheels. The proper technology for production was chosen based on the component requirements. The component is made by using metal extrusion and heading. The starting blank for metal forming was chosen steel rod made of 1.7131 steel (ČSN 14 220) with a diameter of 26 milimeters. The safety wrench will be made by doublecrank press GTX-300H. Production will be done in three operations.
