Design of the on-board system for a motorcycle
Ševčík, Jan ; Benešl, Lukáš (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
This work deals with the design and construction of an on-board computer for a vintage Jawa motorcycle. The design combines measuring sensors of our own design and those commonly available on the market, a main control board of our own design and assembly without interfering with the structure of the motorcycle. The system is considered for mounting on the Jawa 250/592 motorcycle, with some parts from other motorcycles, allowing for easier fitting. ESP32 from Espresiff is used as a microcontroller, which is placed in the tank of the motorcycle and displays the measured data on the LCD display. The system also allows you to control the entire motorcycle, such as enabling starting or turning on the lights
Web Application for Managing a Smart Greenhouse with Gamification Elements
Janeček, Martin ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bažout, David (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an intuitive user interface for monitoring and controlling conditions in a smart greenhouse. This is complemented by a system of devices, compared to a normal greenhouse, which maintain an ideal environment for the plants using remote access from the application. The web application is equipped by a gamification system, which aims to motivate the user to use all the features. At the same time, this system guides the user through the initial introduction to the smart greenhouse. The application is implemented using the Django framework, the presentation side is provided by the React library. The developed solution allows users to easily control the conditions in the smart greenhouse and analyze the history of measured data in a chart or statistics.
Smart home
KALIAGINA, Anastasiya
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to explain the term "smart home", to evaluate the concept of smart housing, to analyze and compare the current offers of technologies and their implementation. The theoretical part is composed by the analysis of litera-ture and the specific description of the development and using all new technologies related to the smart home devices such as controlling and methods of connection, smart home solutions, smart appliances. The practical part deals with the issue of con-sumers' interests in smart homes and its elements and the biggest barriers to acquisi-tion. Following part of the bachelor's thesis is to analyze the offer of companies pre-senting smart home services and their elements. The findings serve as a basis for the preparation of the offer for consumers based on the preferences and economic de-mands. As a result, an optimal offer is created for the implementation of smart homes for different consumer groups, including the evaluation of different variants of a smart home.
Selected aspects of legal regulation of ultimate beneficial owners registration
Vuová, Huyen ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor) ; Hurychová, Klára (referee)
Selected aspects of legal regulation of ultimate beneficial owners registration This thesis analyses the legal framework of the ultimate beneficial owners registration. The aim of this thesis is to provide an overal evaluation of the main objectives of the regulation and whether it is equipped with appropriate instruments to fulfil these purposes. The core analysis further discusses possible implications of the use of the regulation in related legal areas. The introductory part of the thesis provides a brief excursion into the historical development of the regulation and available law at the international, EU and domestic level in order to identify the goals and motives for the adoption of the regulation. Given how extremely recent the topic is, the first key part of the work involves a deeper analysis of the new regulation, with focus on the definition of the ultimate beneficial owner, their identification and registration. Discussion is led not only in light of the general objectives of the regulation, but also with regard to the specific aspirations set out by the legislators during the adoption of the thereof. The second part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the position of the regulation within the constitutional order and of its potential conflicts with fundamental rights and freedoms...
First-time user's experience and learning in virtual reality
Škopová, Alena ; Hrabec, Ondřej (advisor) ; Mikuláš, Martin (referee)
This work focuses on the experience of the first-time user in virtual reality. It explores the psychological and pedagogical aspect of this experience and learning in virtual reality. The theoretical part explains immersion, presence, suspense of disbelief and cognitive presence in order to better explain the users' experience. The process of experiencing VR is compared with a more traditional experiential pedagogy and with its two models. The empirical part is based on data from observations and in-depth semi-structural interviews. 3 years worth of practice by working in the field of research, the VR Dimension gaming centre, is also included in the interpretation of results. The thesis explores the feelings of participants, the perceived depth of their immersion and what might break it in different situations; and their experience in different games, where they felt discomfort, fear or excitement and awe. It also tries to detect the problems that a teacher might encounter when using this technology for educative purposes and offers the solutions based on literature or the researcher's own experience of using this technology. This thesis is meant for anyone who wishes to teach others using VR or for anyone interested in some of the obstruction that may arise.
Robotic Arm with Model Servos
Bobčík, Petr ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis was to create my own robotic manipulator, which is controlled by its own user interface. I made a robotic arm based on computer Raspberry Pi 3B+ with 5 digital servos and a gripping mechanism in the form of a claw, to which I also attached a laser pointer. The user interface problematics was solved by creating a simple web page (combination of HTML, PHP and JS), which i placed into the Apache 2 web server (installed in Raspberry Pi). I successfully incorporated a way to control the servo one by one and how to control the whole arm with inverse kinematics into the user interface.
Smart Home
Pitra, Ondřej ; Jašková, Jana (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Šedrlová, Magdalena (advisor)
Cílem této bakalářské práce je seznámit čtenáře a popsat mu základní principy, charakteristiky a použití mého vlastního projektu s názvem Chytrá domácnost. V této práci se budu zabývat dosavadním stavem mého projektu a dále popíši budoucí plány pro moji Chytrou domácnost. Taktéž představím a porovnám systémy chytrých domů od firem, které se touto technologií zabývají několik let.
Automation of RC Models Control
Vávra, Jan ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is about controlling RC model with microcontroller ESP-32 through WiFi enabled mobile device with OS Android. Goal of this thesis is to make controlling RC model easier and more fun. Parts of this thesis are dealing with using pulse width modulation to control servos, creating a user interface and making a protocol for comunication between RC model and mobile device. Result of this work is application on OS Android, which sends instructions on microcomputer, that controls steering servo and elecromotor. System has predefined stunts on microcomputer and operator has a choice of defining custom stunt in application, which is send to microcomputer in series of individual instructions.
Quadrotor 3D Intuitive Flying
Husák, Robert ; Plch, Tomáš (advisor) ; Obdržálek, David (referee)
The Rotor-based Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (R-UAV) is a robotic aerial plat- form capable of Vertical Take-Off and Landing. It is commonly controlled by a "two stick" interface common to radio controlled models of ships and airplanes. However, this method of control proves to be difficult to learn and master in the domain of R-UAV. Therefore, we examined other control devices: smartphone, gamepad, joystick, 3DConnection SpaceNavigator and Novint Falcon. They were used by 19 volunteers to perform two simple navigation scenarios with AR.Drone, a small R-UAV from Parrot. We separated the pilots into two groups, based on their experience with the R-UAV remote control. We measured the time needed for each device to fulfill every task, including the number of unwanted collisions with obstacles, as well as the pilot's satisfaction with it. According to the results of the experiment, joystick and smartphone proved to be less intuitive and effec- tive among all pilots, especially the inexperienced. Gamepad seemed to be most usable for experienced pilots, although the inexperienced had problems distribut- ing control between two hands, as we expected. 3DConnexion, SpaceNavigator and Novint Falcon were rated the best devices for inexperienced users.
