Author's project of fairy tale capturing the development of musical abilities and personality of preschool children

The bachelor's thesis "The role of an author's fairy tale in the development of musical skills and personality of a preschooler" deals with the author's fairy tale for preschoolers the typical feature of which are based on the development of musical skills and of personality in the child's education. The work on this thesis also involved a qualitative research where ideas of musical trans-didactics were applied. The research was targeted at one experimental group. The thesis was written with respect to pedagogical adequacy, aesthetic expression and ethical principles in education. Using aids and games in the development of music reading in beginner piano lessons

The subject of this work is aids and their possible use in teaching music reading to beginner pianists. The theoretical part presents the methodology behind aids and games, the importance of music reading for the musical activities of the pupils and for the development of their musical skills. It also explains the importance of using games in piano lessons. In the second part of this work you can find the description of the aids, recommendations for activities (often games), suggestions that are based on author's experience etc. The third part describes the effect of using aids and games on a few pupils of different levels of piano skills.
Development of children's musical creativity of the singing group at alementary school

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rozvojem hudební tvořivosti žáků pěveckého kroužku prvního stupně ZŠ. Věnuje se nejprve problematice obecné tvořivosti a jejímu významu a důležitosti pro život člověka. Dále podrobněji specifikuje téma tvořivého myšlení, od něhož odvozuje termín hudebně tvořivého myšlení. Neopomíjí nepostradatelnou roli učitele hudební výchovy, navrhuje systematický metodický postup a nabízí rovněž několik konkrétních typů cvičení vhodných k rozvoji hudební tvořivosti žáků. V rámci výzkumné části pak zkoumá a porovnává úroveň rozvoje tvořivých schopností žáků pěveckého kroužku prvního stupně ZŠ v Čerčanech (ve školním roce 2017/2018 a 2018/2019) v souvislosti s osvojovanými písněmi (jejich obsahy a hudebně výrazovými prostředky). Cílem práce bylo především potvrzení skutečnosti, že výuka s využitím hudebně tvořivých prvků má zásadní vliv na rozvoj hudebních schopností žáků - včetně schopností tvořivých.
Music Activities and Development of Graphomotory

The topic of the diploma thesis is the use of musical activities in the development of graphomotoric skills of preschool children. The theoretical section is focused on harmonising of music and movement on the level of gross and fine motoric skills. This diploma thesis analyses the musical aspect of the Czech version of the Good Start Method. The practical section presents new lessons developing graphomotoric skills with a central focus on musical and instrumental activities. The thesis provides a report on the aims, methods and progress of the field research in the preparatory classes of primary school. Part of the process is basic research into the received tempo of two songs from the Good Start Method. Rhythm sensitivity to speech and non-speech stimuli in musically trained and untrained population

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to analyse the ability of the human ear to hear slight rhythm deviations in speech and non-speech phrases. The first part contains theoretical background for the study of speech rhythm and summarizes the research that has been already conducted in this area. It focuses especially on the perceptual nature of rhythm, the concept of P-centers, and provides a comparative study of speech rhythm and musical rhythm and their common properties and functions. The theoretical part is concluded with the analysis of potential influences of linguistic and musical training on the production and perception of rhythm, and hypotheses and research questions are formulated. The practical part contains a perceptual experiment designed to examine the ability to identify rhythm manipulations in short speech and non-speech, i.e. percussive, phrases. Short English phrases are selected and their rhythmically altered counterparts are prepared. Participants are then presented with pairs of speech or non-speech phrases and a task to identify rhythmical discrepancies between them. The results highlighted several differences between the nature of speech and non-speech rhythm. While the presence of stressed syllables enhances perception of rhythm deviations in speech, this is not the case...
The effect of organized music clubs in kindergarten on a child musicality development

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find the individual benefits of musical activities beyond the common educational programme for the development of children's musicality. Another objective is to determine the level of musical abilities in a group of children of pre-school age, namely singing-musical auditive skills, reproductive abilities, rhythmic sensation, tonal sense and musical memory, and to find out how these musical abilities developed between October 2016 and February 2017. In the theoretical part, I describe the individual components of the child's musicality. In addition, I outline the framework conditions for the provision of organized leisure activities in kindergartens. In the end the psychological specifics of the pre-school child in relation to musicality. I will outline the framework conditions for the provision of organized interest activities in kindergartens. In the practical part I test five-year-old children in three kindergartens before the beginning of musical activities. In the last part of the bachelor thesis I diagnose the diference in the change of musical abilities in the group of children attending the musical club and in the group of children who are being developer within the common programme in kindergarten.
Development of music and movement choreography for preschool children using my own didactic tools

Master's thesis addresses the implementation of didactic tool to musical movement activities of preschool children in kindergarten with respect to the integrative nature of education. The first part of the thesis is covering theoretical side of the important aspects of child development at the age of five to six years. Further it deals with the specifics of the development of musicality in preschoolers, especially focusing on instrumental side of the music. It highlights the musical creativity that flows from the principles of Orff School. Musical creativity is one of the objective of the thesis second, practical part. Here thesis research music educational project whose main component is a methodical set Cup Song that contains suggestions for practical usage. Experiment, observation and structured interview are used as methods of research that is focused on verification of the Cup Song impact on a musical and personal development of the child.
