Cooperative Game for Two Players in Unity
Červinka, Petr ; Karas, Matej (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a game using Unity game engine. The project consists of two parts. The first part is the game itself, where two players control two characters on one keyboard, whereas they must cooperate and overcome different obstacles and dangers. This is a game mechanic that either prevents players from progressing through levels or kills them on contact. The second part is a game editor, which allows players to create their own levels. Each level is composed of objects such as blocks, backgrounds and game mechanics. These objects can be dynamically added, removed and moved.
Space Game Project Using Delta3D Simulation Engine
Sauer, Václav ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about gaming and simulation open-source engine Delta3D and its possibilities in game design and development. Work describes basics and ideology of this engine and how engine handles drawing, physics, audio processing and other things widely used in current games. Furthermore this work describes tools offered by engine, which may be used in the process of creating games. This information is then used to implement simple game created with this engine. Process of design and implementation is described in the main part of this thesis.
Editor of Cooperative VR Environment
Schneider, Michael ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this work is to create an editor in the Unity game engine, in which you can easily set up a world for virtual reality.    The work introduces current VR technologies and their limitations. The thesis deals with the design and implementation of a VR application in Unity, including the necessary plugins. The solution also includes VR multiplayer, which allows you to create a world with other VR players. For such an application to work, it was necessary to create complex space management systems, create a server implementation that supports a client controlled by virtual reality and interaction systems, so that the world around the players remained interactive.
3D Game in Unity with Music Analysis
Petrjanoš, Jakub ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is about music analysis and it's usage in game development in game engine Unity. With help of music analysis there is implemented path finding in procedural generated terrain. In development were used experimental methods and result is game, which generates path based on chosen song through procedural generated terrain and visualizes music.
Dungeon Generator for Unreal Engine
Mořkovský, Samuel ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
The work's purpose is to design and implement dungeon generator for a game engine Unreal Engine version 4. Plugin was selected as a form of work's result, which allows to integrate generator into an already existing project without the need to modify any source code. Parameters modifying the process of generation are passed from the user interface of Unreal Engine. Result of the process is a set of rooms and corridors connecting the rooms in a way that every room can be visited. All these objects are represented by 3D models in current level.
Strategy Computer Game
Dlabola, Jakub ; Rybková, Blanka (referee) ; Roupec, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis introduces the reader to the origin of strategic computer war games and their history. It shows the evolution of strategic war games from the first kriegsspiel to the current computer games. It also briefly deals with the possibilities of creating a strategic computer game in the C++ language and describes in detail the strategic computer game Shadows created by the author.
Action Game Demo in Unity
Petr, Radek ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Matýšek, Michal (advisor)
My Teenage Dream Never Ended
Jarošová, Sára ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
In my diploma thesis, I work with the theme of post memory, possibilities of the (un)viability of the future in contexts where the history remains always present. A person grows up in stories that precede birth. So often we unintentionally shape our own stories with traumatic affairs which due to the principle of time cannot be transferred, understood or recreated. My diploma thesis balances on the border of the abstract level of memory care through the process of mapping and reassessment of one’s definition of what a home is based on family history. I have created a dystopian video that takes place in the future in a digitally created world after the colaspe of the contemporary world as we know it. The present is collapsing due to global, political, ecological and economic crises. Those are signs of a shared present in which we prefer to look utopically to the future or seek a melancholic solace in the past. But what to do when even the past that defines our own history doesn’t exist at all, or if it does, it exists in blurred fragments of childhood memories; what to do when the future has nothing to offer us either?
