Electromobility, infrastructure solutions for homes and companies
Ďuračka, Samuel ; Mauder, Tomáš (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
Goal of this bachelor’s thesis is an elaboration of an overview of the current state of knowledge in the area of various ways of charging electric vehicles, home charging stations, and battery storages issues. First part of the thesis is focused on brief history of electromobility, its decline, and consecutive recent growth. Second part of the thesis deals with charging in households realized by wallbox, and its benefits. Another topic is electric vehicle batteries and their utilization outside the electric vehicle, both during their cycle life, and after it stops being useable in electric car. In the end of the thesis, there is a recommendation of suitable charging station for Institute of Automotive Engineering FME.
The use of soft computing as support for business decision-making
Pekárek, Jan ; Jašek, Roman (referee) ; Lenort, Radim (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (referee) ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
The presented dissertation deals with the problem of deploying the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the Czech Republic. The core of the thesis is a mathematical optimization model, which is implemented in the language of MATLAB computing software. The model consists of several sub-units representing separate models of studied sub-problems. The individual chapters of the work describe successively these sub models. The sub models are: demand model of the charging service, model of charging supply, charging simulator model, optimization model and its resolving optimization method. The optimization model is accelerated by parallelization on the graphics card. The optimization method is designed as a case-specific implementation of genetic algorithms on a population of tree-structured individuals. The final chapter deals with an economic aspect of the problem under consideration, the implications of the findings and the role that the optimization model plays in the context under consideration. The main benefit of the work lies in the formulation of the problem as a mathematical model, the accompanying analyses and the provided justifications. Any user with updated data can then use this work along with the attached scripts to find answers to questions about the relationship between electromobility and the charging infrastructure.
Impact of massive electromobility on the Czech Republic
Řeha, David ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the massive development of electromobility in the Czech Republic. Its importance is compounded by the fact that there are more and more speculations about the sustainability of our planet's development. This document describes the current state of electromobility, the state's position on this issue and the prediction of the number of these vehicles. It also analyzes the impact of a gradual increase of electric cars and the impact of using only electric vehicles, in terms of energy, where a large increase in electricity production and consumption is expected, ecological, where emissions are expected to decrease, and economic, where an increase of investment is expected and a decrease in state budget revenues.
Proposal of measures in the high voltage network for the implementation of renewable sources and electromobility according to scenarios NAP SG
Navrátil, Stanislav ; Blažek, Viktor (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is focused on demonstrating the impact of the implementation of decentralized distributed energy sources (mainly RES) and electromobility technologies to electrical parameters in Czech medium voltage distribution network. Thesis is divided into two main chapters. First one is a brief theoretical summary of this problematic and the second one is a practical software simulation on a real medium voltage network. Proposed implementation scenarios are based on EU and national strategic plans for time period from 2020 to 2040.
Power Systems Ranges of Main Parameters
Řehořek, Tomáš ; Gála, Michal (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with description of the power system, parameters of it’s components and the range of outputs and consumption. In the first part the structure of the power system is described as well as the fundamental division of electric grids. In this part the work also touches on the ways of supllying the elctric traction. Furthermore the amount of production and consumption is mentioned. In the second part this work focuses on description of selected components of the power system and their real parameters. Furthermore the work also touches on the matter of electromobility and battery energy storage systems. In the last part of this work a few simple methods of consumption estimation are presented. This work also includes two infografics, that describe the power system.
Investments of Automotive Industry in Metals as Strategic Materials
Kubík, Ján ; Ptáček, Roman (referee) ; Rejnuš, Oldřich (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the fundamental analysis of selected metals as commodities, for use in the production of batteries for electric vehicles, to hedge against changes in the price of physical raw materials. Selected metals are analyzed based on the fundamental parameters, historical price development and the current situation on the commodity market. Based on these fundamental data, a recommendation is formulated for the method of hedging the prices of selected commodities.
Battery pack for an electric car
List, Jaroslav ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
Thesis deals with the design of a battery box with lithium-ion technology, for the largest possible driving range of the BUT SuperEL II electric car. Based on the analysis of the electric vehicle available space and the parameters of the electronic system, the maximum size of the entire set of 84s130p batteries was designed. 18650 cells with NMC technology were selected due to the very high gravimetric and volumetric density, which reaches 274 Wh/kg and 564 kWh/m3. The total nominal capacity of the designed battery boxes in the electric car is 138 kWh. The total gravimetric energy density of the designed box is 215.6 Wh/kg. It allows the electric car to reach the theoretical range with a consumption of 14 kWh/100 km of almost 1000 km. The individual battery modules of the battery box are controlled for optimal operating conditions by means of a BMS. The whole set is divided into 5 battery boxes. These boxes are manufactured using the technology of bent welded sheets from aluminum alloy EN AW 1050A and steel 1.4301. FEM analyzes were performed to verify the mechanical strength of the designed structure. The work also deals with the design of battery modules and their connection.
MEB modular platform for electric cars
Tkach, Svitlana ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the possibilities of the newly developed modular electric drive matrix MEB of the Volkswagen Group. The aim was to create a research study about technical parameters of the platform and the possibilities of its use for various categories of vehicles not only within the Volkswagen Group, but also the offer to competing manufacturers. In conclusion of the bachelor’s thesis is formulated the impact of technologies, offered by the modular electric drive matrix, on the development and production of electric vehicles and the related possibility of a reversal in the expansion of electric drive.
