Methods of adaptation in the boarding school from the point of view of educators

The diploma thesis is entitled: Methods of adaptation to a boarding school from the perspective of educators and it deals with the process of adaptation of new students from the perspective of an educator. The theoretical part deals with the institution of a boarding school and educators working in it, describes the process and selected methods of adaptation and last but not least, focuses on the specifics of youth of high school age. The practical part of the thesis firstly describes in detail the research methodology and then presents the resulting information collected through a mixed (qualitative and quantitative) form of research. The aim of this paper is to learn what methods the educators use to make the process of adaptation of new students at boarding schools easier.
Children´s club Elemantary school Dobřany

This thesis deals with the comparison of the after school club and the children´s school club at primary school in Dobřany. The first part is focused on the characterization of the after school club in general according to legislation, available literature and activities of the after school club at a specific primary school. Further more, the goals, activities and staffing of the after school club are described there. In the second part is characterized the children´s school club in general according to available documents. On a specific case are described the conditions of establishment and operation, including the specifics of this facility. The third part of the thesis summarizes the activities of the after school club and children´s school club at primary school in Dobřany. In the summary of work we find out that two facilities in one school, which take care of the free time of children after school from the 1st to 5th classes, may have different duties, the system of enrolling children, opening hours and activities. The thesis shows a need for at least a minimum pedagogical education for people who work with children, although this is not required by legislation in this case.

Lucie Šimůnková KATEDRA (ÚSTAV) Katedra Pedagogiky VEDOUCÍ PRÁCE: PhDr. Veronika Blažková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: In this theses I deal with the theme of perception of the teacher with body modifications such as tattoos, piercings, etc. by other teachers at school. In the theoretical part I will explain all the terms from the field of pedagogy as well as the topic of body modifications. The practical part will be dedicated to the personal experiences, opinions and thoughts of teachers without body modifications, and the method of semi-structured interview will be used to find out this information. To supplement the information obtained from the interviews, the practical part will also include case studies with teachers who have body modifications. The goal of the thesis is to find out if teachers with modifications are perceived by other teachers positively, negatively or neutrally. Furthermore, whether the modifications affect the behavior of other teachers towards them, their approach, if they try to avoid them or have no problem cooperating with them, or whether they do not take into account the look of the teacher with the modifications at all. Theoretical and empirical thesis "Teacher and his role in the process of pupil's self- conception forming" aims to explore the theme of self-conception from the perspective of those involved in the educational process. Primarily in terms of personal and social development, whose major component is the development of self-conception of pupil. The thesis explores the possibilities and limits of teaching experience and tries to find some starting points and recommendations that can help teachers better manage claims that contemporary society places on education of children. It also seeks to give teachers a tool that would simply and effectively determine the level of their work on self-development of their pupils.
