Wireless sensor network
Hruška, Martin ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
Wireless sensor network (WSN) consist of a mesh of a several powerful devices (denoted as base stations or sink) and a high number (1000 - 1000000) of a low-cost devices (denoted as nodes or motes), which are severely constrained in processing power, memory and energy. The nodes are equipped with an environment sensor. Events recorded by the sensor nodes are locally aggregated and then forwarded to a base station for further processing. WSNs are expected to be in wide use for a multitude of different scenarios. Project target is to analyse possibility of wireless transfer of digitalised data from sensors. Work contains and compares: Wi-Fi, , WiMAX, ZigBee, GPRS, radio net and IrDA. The work will design a wirelless network with data collection from sewerage plant sensors in small rural agglomeration and transfer data to the central dispatching. The work will suggest several options and compare their advantages and disadvantages.
Wireless access system
Sekyra, Jaroslav ; Honzík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes practical realization of entrance terminal, which enables transmission of data thanks to radio module ZigBee PAN4551 and Ethernet module Rabbit RCM3200. This entrance system uses Mifare RFID cards, with whose user will identify at the entrance terminal of the guarded object. Data are sent to server station by radio module ZigBee or Ethernet module Rabbit during demand of entrance. The database of all entrance rights of all users is stored on this server. Data system works up received data and sends them back to the terminal. One part of these data is the information about enabling of user entrance. The database system makes a list of passing through users. In the first part of this work whole conception of entrance terminal is suggested. Then basic demands of each block are described in details as well as their placement in guarded object. Next chapters describe basic function of terminal, electrical scheme, and system of power supplies for the access system. Also individual hardware components are chosen and described. In the on of the last chapter there is flow-process diagram of main loops for individual variants of terminal and interrupts functions from timer, serial link and external input from radio network MC13193 drawn. In the last chapter there is a show of server data application “AccessServer” and his basic description.
ZigBee Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Bartek, Lukáš ; Nagy, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze ZigBee standard - its characteristic, potential use and testing its implementation in simulators. This work is consists of four sections. The first section analyses the structure of IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee protocol stack means of communications, security and development of this standard. The second section describes features of available simulators. The third section is the manual for creating simulation environment in the selected simulator. The final section shows practical preparation, process and result interpretation. The goal of this project is evaluation of tested simulator for education and development.
Wireless sensor network
Ševčík, Martin ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the ZigBee wireless technology and design of a simple sensor network on its principle. The network is designed for a smaller apartment. As the temperature sensor is used DS1631 thermometer. Communi-cation of the coordinator with the computer ensures XPort®. Used modules from the Meshnetics company integrates the AVR processor and the radio transmitter / receiver at 2.4 GHz operating frequency.
Coexistence of the communication systems in ISM band
Nowak, Dan ; Kejík, Petr (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to study the physical layer technology of the communication systems working in the ISM band, to describe coexistence mechanisms in the selected frequency band, consequently to create models of the physical layers in the Simulink interface, to simulate synchronous transmission of the devices and to modify the model in order to correspond with coexistence mechanisms described in IEEE standard 802.15.2. The practical part of this paper examines the effect of Wi-Fi device output power on the transmission speed during synchronous transmission with Bluetooth device.
Principles of the Wireless Standards Security
Vokál, Martin ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
Computer networks are in the scope of the IEEE organization normalized by the 802 board which currently comprises six working groups for wireless communications. IEEE 802.11 for wireless local area networks, IEEE  802.15 for wireless personal area networks, IEEE 802.16 for wireless metropolitan area networks, IEEE 802.20 for mobile broadband wireless access, IEEE 802.21 for media independent handover and IEEE 802.22 for wireless regional area networks. This master's thesis focuses on a security analysis of particular standards, describes threats, vulnerabilities, current security measures and mutually compares wireless specifications from a security point of view. The conclusion is devoted to overall evaluation of the project, to its contributions, possible enhancements and continuation in the form of consequential studies.
Signal processing in ZigBee system
Miloš, Jiří ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
Master's thesis The Signal Processing in ZigBee System is focused on properties of Physical Layer of ZigBee (standard IEEE 802.15.4 - 2003). The work consists of three parts. The first part contains common view on using and properties of ZigBee. The next part focuses on the Medium Access Control Layer and in detail on the Physical Layer. There described signal processing in the Physical Layer in individual radio bands. The last part of the project contains the process of modeling in the MATLAB for both models of system ZigBee (bands 868/915 MHz and 2450 MHz). The last part of thesis deals with the simulations of BER depending on Carrier-to-Noise Ratio. Also examined the coexistence of systems operating in the same or a nearby frequency band. Based on the results of simulations there are given recommendations for the use of the ZigBee system in minimizing BER.
Testing of ZigBee wireless modems
Kasper, Robin ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the testing of wireless radio modems CDX800. Modems communicate in the unlicensed 869MHz band and are based on the ZigBee standard. The first chapter is devoted to the description of this standard. Thesis aims to test the modems according to RFC2544 and RFC1242 recommendations for testing networks, which are discussed in the work. For testing of the network in accordance with those recommendations have been selected hardware testers Trend Unipro GbE. Testers are primarily intended for Ethernet networks, and therefore it was necessary to use converters from Ethernet to serial line which modems use to communicate with other devices. Measurements of the testers were unsuccessful by virtue of inappropriate choice of converters. The work shows potential substitute for these converters. Furthermore, the work deals with testing the modems in terms of radio range on the line of sight and in build-up area. For this purpose was chosen service program Radwin. At the conclusion of the work was created network design for decentralized wastewater treatment for the community Podbřezí from the measured parameters. Designed network is composed of 50 stations and one control center.
