Non-filtering applications with current and voltage conveyors
Horáček, Lukáš ; Herencsár, Norbert (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on using non-filtering applications with voltage and electric current conveyors. Conveyors may be used both for filtering and for non-filtering applications. They are basic elements of many modern electric circuits and operational amplifiers. First of all, I had described what the conveyor in general is, its historical development, which types of them we can meet with and its availability in integrated circuits. Then I focused on circuits which are subject of this thesis. Namely they are: functional transducer, rectifier and integrator. These circuits were analyzed and simulated by computer software. After this I designed their realization and performed experimental measurement.
Harvesting of emelctromagnetic energy in 24 GHz band
Rokos, Lukáš ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis describes basic principles of an electromagnetic energy harvesting and its potential use. To gain the energy, a rectenna (rectifying antenna) is selected. The rectenna consists of a patch antenna, a matching circuit and a rectifier circuit. The thesis describes a design of the patch antenna operating at 24 GHz and its matching to the microstrip line with the characteristic impedance 50 . Then, the circuit for matching the rectified is designed using an open-ended stub. The last part of the thesis describes several types of rectifier circuits to be used potentially. Functionality of the designed rectenna has been verified in ANSYS Designer.
Safe Uninterruptable Power Supply of Power Station Internal Consuption
Tomášek, Petr ; Přidal, Petr (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This thesis examines issues connected to safe uninterruptible power supplies. The term safe uninterruptible power supply is used for an aggregate of devices providing power for appliances that participate in safe rapid shutdown of a power plant in case power from a usual source fails. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with possibilities and ways of realizing an aggregation of safe uninterruptible power supply. Various devices that can appear in the section of a safe uninterruptible power supply are listed and each device is characterized. Appliances that can be provided for by the sources of safe uninterruptible power supply are mentioned as well. These appliances are listed in accordance with ČSN standard nr. 381120. The theoretical part concludes with new trends in realization of safe uninterruptible power supplies. One of these sources is a clean source technology that can also be implemented in various ways. Practical part contains a suggestion of a safe uninterruptible power supply for particular steam power plant. This suggested safe uninterruptible power supply consists of rectifiers, batteries, inverters and a dieselgenerator. Calculated parameters of each device at the conclusion of the practical part are followed by a diagram of the suggested section of safe uninterruptible power supply.
Operation of a distribution system with resistance welders
Zelený, Miroslav ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This Diploma thesis deals with assessment of the influence of two fundamental types of resistance welders operation on chosen power quality parameters at the point of common coupling (PCC) of the power network. The assessed parameters of power quality are the total harmonic distortion of the supply voltage, asymmetry of the supply voltage and the level of short term flicker at the point of common coupling. The assessment is based on the comparison of the results of computer simulations done in PSCad 4.2.0 with the requirements of technical standards. The outcome of this thesis is the determination of allowable limits for physical and operation parameters for the general arrangement of a power distribution network and a resistance welder that should guarantee the power quality compliance.
Design of controlled switched power source
Dvořák, Jaroslav ; Bajer, Arnošt (referee) ; Musil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on designing and constructing of a switch-mode power supply. Goal of this thesis is to design and create functional switch-mode power supply based on the required parameters, and use it for further research of these devices.
The Model of HVDC Line for Laboratory
Mička, Dominik ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to provide comprehensive information of HDVC transmission and to create laboratory model of HVDC connection. The first part of the thesis presents its pros and cons and provides basic description of individual parts related to the transmission of electrical energy. The thesis also shows proposed design model of HVDC connection, used as a guidance for work in lab environment. Provided are calculated parameters and operational options of working prototype model. Subsequently, the prototype is created and measured test results are compared against calculated and simulated values.
Design of analog control device for mini glasshouse
Řehák, Martin ; Lukeš, Zbyněk (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays there are several options how to grow plants that do not come from our climatic belts are used to implement the greenhouses, where the artificially simulated environments, in which plants can vegetate. This work deals with the issue, plant growing in climates that are not for the plants of the rainforest, characteristic. It was necessary to create a greenhouse in which to guarantee the basic conditions for their growth. Such as humidity, temperature and lighting. He was taken into account at the design and implementation of the website.
Non-linear circuit structures with active current elements
Langhammer, Lukáš ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with non-linear curcuit structures with current active elements. In its introduction this work deals with a description of the current conveyor. Further the text pays attention to the possiblities of the circuits for modification signals in analogue technology. First are described circuits of diode limiters and transducer. Great attention is paid to the amplifiers with current active parts. In conclusion are realized circuits of universal precise full-wave rectifiers using operational amplifier and current conveyor and made comparisons.
Electric bike with a combustion-engine-powered generator
Mička, Dominik ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
A conceptual design and realization of a motor bike using combustion engine and electrical power transfer is the objective of this master´s thesis. Control strategy that allows combustion engine to reach maximal efficiency cooperating with wide range speed and torque operating area electromotor was created. All function blocks were realized. Also hardware of all needed parts was developed. The last part was a design and debugging of control software. Finally the functionality was documented by test drives and measurements.
DC/DC step-up converter with synchronous rectifier
Pospíšilík, Vojtěch ; Feiler, Zdeněk (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
In the bachelor’s thesis we will deal with the design, optimization and subsequent build of the increasing DC converter with synchronous rectifier. Experimentally we find parameters for which we will make the design. Then we choose a suitable control circuit and calculate the parameters of the converter output elements, which assign specific components. After that we will design the printed circuit board, complete and we will renew the converter.
