Tools and Techniques for Creating Mobile Applications
Čtvrtníček, Dušan ; Žák, Jakub (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes and compares the possibilities for development of mobile applications for various mobile operating systems (Android, Windows Phone etc.). The thesis also describes the tools available to create mobile applications. Based on the created application, there were compared and evaluated two developments - native and hybrid.
Proposal of the Family-owned Company Differentiation Strategy
Bělová, Zuzana ; Ing. Alena Hanzelková, Ph.D., MBA (referee) ; Koráb, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis concerns in the first part on conditions for entrepreneurship in Spain and in Czech Republic. It also analyses current position of family companies in the hospitality industry, both spanish and czech. In the conclusion I suggest steps which should lead into growth of attendance of the czech brasserie, it´s bigger popularity and increase in effectivness. Finally, the implementation of such proposals in practice should mean higher customers‘ satisfaction.
Energy sources and consumption
Majer, Jan ; Kuba, Pavel (referee) ; Bobák, Petr (advisor)
The thesis describes basic methods of producing energy and presents the basic division and characterize sources of energy. It compares and describes the production of energy in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. The thesis explains, where and how is this energy consumed and presents energy production and consumption in the Czech republic and in the United States of Amerika and provides a comparison of the two countries. Indicates the percentage of consumption in various sectors in these countries and the distribution of energy consumed by resource used. The thesis is also focused on the comparison of household consumption in the Czech Republic and the United States of America. It specifies the average household consumption of Prague and New York and investigates the causes of the difference in average household consumption of both countries.
Design of tube marking equipment
Pavelka, David ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is construction design of device used for tubing signing, used to insulate conductors in electromotors. Thesis is based on close cooperation with Motors Leroy Somer company. Practical part is focused on choosing and designing the most appropriate variant of device with respecting specified requirements such is financial budget, maximal size of placement in hall and simplicity during manipulating with device.
Wood-splitting machines - aspect of universality
Valach, Tomáš ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to create a research for various design solutions of wood splitting machines and to compare them with respect to their versatility. I.e. ability to process different types of firewood with different dimensions. The second part is the creation of two models and showing their design solutions.
Laboratory scenarios for comparison of protocols allowing transmission of web pages
Moučka, Martin ; Grenar, David (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on theoretical and practical comparison of webpage transport protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) v1.1, SPDY, HTTP/2 and QUIC using UDP (User Datagram Protocol), TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) as transport protocols. This work also contains design and manual for practical laboratory tasks on which can students verify theoretical assumptions. These tasks compares protocols in different conditions such as packet loss, latency and jitter.
Real consumption of primary energy of plug-in hybrid and electric cars
Bochníček, Ondřej ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Fišer, Jan (advisor)
The topic of bachelor thesis is to evaluate a consumption of primary energy in electric cars and plug-in hybrids depending on the place of the operation and also to compare a particular representative with similar classic cars with combustion engine. Another criterion used for evaluation is the emission of carbon dioxide for one driven kilometer. For the consumption of primary energy in electric cars and plug-in hybrids is essential to know how is the electricity produced in the chosen area. With the energy mix of each state, characteristics of given ways of producing electricity and consumptions of selected cars the consumption of primary energy of selected cars and emission of carbon dioxide for one driven kilometer were determined. From the computed data results, that the lowest energy consumption have the electric cars driven in countries with dominant representation of renewable energy sources. Conversely the worst conditions are in the countries with high part of fossil fuels in electricity production. From the comparison of single electric cars and plug-in hybrids with classic cars results that electric cars or plug-in hybrids are at the time of writing this thesis practically in all cases more energy efficient and also produce less emission of carbon dioxide.
Comparison of Banking Point of Sale and Branches in Volksbank CZ
Doležalová, Jana ; Santariusová, Halina (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Thesis is concerned with a comparison of the classic branches of Volksbank and of the new sales points located in shopping centres - so called Volksbank Shops. The thesis compares the sales points, their employees and offered products. The productivity of the sales points is compared using the number of clients, accounts, and loans. In this way the creditworthiness of clients is compared. The conclusion of the thesis contains improvements suggestions for the bank and for its clients.
Comparison of design classic and smart wiring of house
Valo, Marek ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This work contains requirements for the design of high-voltage and low-voltage classic and smart wiring. The aim of this work is to implement a project of classic and smart wiring for house and their subsequent comparison. In the beginning is introduction to wiring as such, insight into history, a brief presentation of contemporary species of wiring. The following chapter provides an analysis of high-voltage systems and criteria in its designing, which is based on the currently valid standards. The chapter contains also a brief excerpt dealing with ways of storing wires in buildings and installation zones individual rooms. Chapter of system wiring briefly describes the idea of this kind of wiring and its function. Introduction is focused on explanations of the system wiring, then the chapter directed to a specific producer used in the design of the project itself. In the chapter number five the problem of low voltage wiring and methods for their design are analysed. The following section deals with the design of wiring own project (classic and system) for a family house, designing switchboard, budgeting and technical reports. In conclusion, these two types of wiring are compared in terms of design, project documentation and budget. The practical part is dedicated to creating drawings containing high-voltage and low voltage wiring, switchboard scheme, budget, calculating illuminance and technical reports. The project documentation is discussed further in the technical report.
Image Compression Using the Wavelet Transform
Urbánek, Pavel ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on subject of image compression using wavelet transform. The first part of this document provides reader with information about image compression, presents well known contemporary algorithms and looks into details of wavelet compression and following encoding schemes. Both JPEG and JPEG 2000 standards are introduced. Second part of this document analyzes and describes implementation of image compression tool including inovations and optimalizations. The third part is dedicated to comparison and evaluation of achievements.
