Bearings for space

Currently, space satellites in orbit are required to operate reliably for more than 10 years. This places high demands on the satellite's tribological systems, which must function properly in the hostile space environment for this period. This bachelor thesis deals with the description of suitable bearings and their lubrication for space applications. Lubrication regimes are described at the outset. Then, space factors affecting the proper operation of tribological systems are summarized. The largest part is devoted to the description of the most used bearings and lubricants. The thesis concludes with the design of suitable bearings and their lubrication for the satellite reaction wheel.

Zuzana Urbanová The Function of Direct Forms of Presentation in the Generic Structure of Newspaper Reports Abstract The thesis deals with the employment of direct forms of presentation in the genre of hard news. The texts for the analysis were excerpted from the main British broadsheet newspapers. The classification of forms of presentation is based on Semino and Short (2004) and focuses on their deictic and syntactic properties, interpreted in terms of the pragmatic concepts of perspective, faithfulness claims and the role of the reported and reporting speaker. Attention is paid to various direct forms, including direct speech, free direct speech and combined forms, i.e. non-direct forms appearing with a partial direct quote. The thesis draws heavily on the work by White (1998), whose approach to genre is informed by the ideas proposed by the Sydney School and Systemic Functional Linguistics. Hard news is characterised by the orbital generic structure, consisting of the nucleus and a number of specifying satellites (White 1998). The occurrence of direct and combined forms of presentation is explained by their deictic, syntactic and pragmatic properties, the generic role and characteristic features of the nucleus and individual satellites, and the overall function of hard news. Study of Urban Heat Island with using of remote sensing investigations

Modern times bring considerable urbanization which represents the development and extension of cities. An urban environment is very different in structure from the rural one and the natural landscape. The differences are shown in various types of climatic observations and they also lead to a phenomenon called Urban Heat Island. The city appears as an island with higher temperature compared to the surrounding rural areas. Eumetsat satellites called MFG and MSG with the MVIRI and SEVIRI instruments are used for the analysis of SUHI, the measurement of which is processed by the application of various algorithms. 1

Conceptual design of a heat switch installation into a structure of satellite

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na sestavení přehledu konstrukcí a teplených cest kosmických lodí a kosmických vozidel, které se v současné době používají. Na základě specifických požadavků a standardů jsou vypracovány koncepční návrhy zástavby tepelného spínače do konstrukce družice. V jednotlivých kapitolách jsou popsány určité členy, které se na vedení tepla podílí a jsou důležité pro navrhované koncepty z pohledu konstrukce. Diplomová práce popisuje postupy výpočtu tepelných vodivostí a rozložení působící tíhové síly do míst uchycení pro jednotlivé koncepty. Na závěr provádí hodnocení a výběr potenciálně nejvhodnějšího návrhu.

Reentry CubeSat

This bachelor´s thesis deals with the analysis of the re-entry of the miniature CubeSat satellite from lower orbit. In the opening section, it is explained how re-entry process works, what bodies are typically used and the possibilities for protecting them from atmospheric resistance. The thesis is also focused on the mentioned group of CubeSat satellites and defines them according to general requirements. Using the knowledge learned from the opening section, a theoretical introduction to the preliminary analysis of the re-entry of the CubeSat satellite was put together, followed by a sample calculation. Here, it is explained how the CubeSat moves as it descends throughout the atmosphere and what parameters it needs to meet in order to make the re-entry.

Use of GPS in the Car Industry Oriented on Self-driving Vehicles

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím GPS v automobilovém průmyslu se zaměřením na bezpilotní vozidla. Hlavním cílem bylo přiblížit GPS systém jako takový, jeho využití v autonomních vozidlech, vysvětlit výhody i nevýhody těchto automobilů a popsat různé hardwary a softwary, které dále využívají. První polovina práce nejprve do velkých detailů charakterizuje GPS, aby se čtenář seznámil s tím, jak navigační systém pracuje. V druhé části se čtenář dozví o autonomních vozech, do jakých úrovní jsou rozdělena, a které systémy používají. Dále jsou zde popsány výhody a nevýhody těchto vozidel a také hlavní rozdíly mezi dnešními a autonomními auty. Závěr této práce je soustředěn na benefity inteligentní dopravy, ale i na pohled do budoucnosti vozidel či celé dopravy.

Modelling and simulation of communication system receiver for unmanned aircraft

This diploma thesis deals with the simulation of the radio communication system for satellite control of unmanned aircraft, namely the command and control communication link – the forward link. The aim of the thesis is to create a simulator in the Matlab environment. The simulator includes a model of the transmitter, radio channel and receiver. Four-state CPM modulation with partial response and filtered symbol shape is used. The radio channel performs noise, frequency Doppler shift and time delay to the received signal. Subsequently, in the Acquisition Unit, the Doppler shift and time delay are detected and compensated. At the end of the thesis, the simulation results of the presented model are presented in the form of graphs đť¸s/đť‘0.

The bachelor thesis consists of the design and realization switched source for use in satellites of Cubesat type. The paper describes the theoretical knowledge of switched sources. The document also contains basic theoretical knowledge for the application of electronic devices in the cosmic environment and contains a description of the Cubesat concept and their application benefits. In the paper there is systematically described how to design a power source for application in a Cubesat satellite.
