Comparison of communication technologies and selection of effective protocol for access of IoT device to the back-end server using the Java platform
Gryc, Václav ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on comparing two ways of communicating with a web service. The first way to communicate is using SOAP. The second way uses the REST architecture, creating a RESTful web service. Both ways are theoretically described in the thesis. The main benefit of this work for devices with reduced connectivity is the finding that communication with REST API is more appropriate.
Web Service Broker
Pagáč, Jiří ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the study of the technology of web services and how to search for them, and with the implementation of systems used for registration of and searching for web services - directories. Greater attention is paid to the UDDI (The Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) directory, its data structures, program interface and problems related to registration of the service and searches using UDDI. The main part of the study deals with the implementation of a part of UDDI standard version 3.0.2 for the demonstration of the registration and search of the service in a UDDI type directory. The resultant application should be used for teaching problems concerning web services. It is written in C++ programming language using Firebird, libraries for communication with Firebird database IBPP and C++ toolkit for the development of web services in C++ - gSOAP.
Web Services Security for a Service Provider
Liška, Stanislav ; Jaša, Petr (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This work makes the task of providing readers with insight into the possibilities of Web services security and authentication. The second chapter explains the general Web services and the third charter deals with security protocols along with authentication. The charter possibility of securing Web services in Java Enterprise Edition are described in the fourth chapter. The fifth chapter is devoted to Web services from the perspective of the service provider. The sixth chapter describes the implementation of secure services and seventh charter deals with testing services with the possibility of further extension.
Extendable Information System of SDC with a Multi-Tier Architecture
Vrážel, Dušan ; Weiss, Petr (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with analysis, design and implementation of an information system that allows easy extensibility with three-tier architecture.   System is developed using object oriented approach by programming language PHP, relational database server MySQL and web services and protocol SOAP. The View tier is implemented by web technologies XHTML and CSS. Analysis and design of this system is done with using the modeling language UML.     In this thesis is described the problem of multi-tier software architecture, theory of development information's systems and described design and implementation of an information system with a three-tier architecture and it's application in the society SDC.
Mobile Public Transportation Assistant
Tůma, Jan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is a documentation covering complete design and implementation of a mobile public transportation assistant for Brno. The resulting solution consists of a mobile application and a server part. The mobile application allow user with actual position of public transport vehicles and positon of smart device navigate and determine optimal route. The server part includes web service for client-server communication.
Fault Injection for Web-Services
Žouželka, Martin ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
This document is especially aimed at web services technologies and testing them using fault injection methods. The work deals with Service-Oriented Architecture, used as a standard for web service implementation, and with software testing in general. Practical part of the project includes the design and realization of a tool, which is able to test the most common types of web services according to setup criteria. To demonstrate its functionality, some of the sample and public web services were tested.
Web Service as an Interface for Google Calendar
Paulíček, Martin ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this project was to create a web service that provides a connection to the web calendar named Google Calendar. This service should co-operate with an UDDI service registry. Another part of this project was creation of a client application that should communicate with the web service and the service registry. The client application should also serve as a demonstration application for presenting principles of web services and their communication.
Client-Server Application Based on JAVA RMI
Salášek, Jan ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis summarizes the possibilites for creating distributed systems for use in Java. It deals with acceleration of calculation using parallelization and distributed data processing.
Realisation of Service-Oriented Architecture: Web Services
Jiráček, Pavel ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
The main subject of this master thesis is the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). It shows a complete overview of Web Services in terms of realisation of a SOA. The thesis mentions what is already done and what else remains to ful ll the basic SOA principles. Then, it reviews Java EE platform tools used to deal with the Web Services. Next, it introduces the Java Management Extensions (JMX) technology as a solution of the web service's area - SOA governance. Moreover, it examinates the possible usage of JMX for the web service's management and monitoring issues. Finally, it implements an exemplary web services management and monitoring application on GlassFish server for testing purposes.
Information system for energy meters
Magic, Filip ; Mišík, Štefan (referee) ; Franek, Lešek (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor Thesis is to design and develop an information system for processing data from energy meters. First part of the thesis is devoted to the principles of smart grids. In the next part are described web technologies necessary for the development of SOAP server and information system. Furthermore is presented the proposal and development of the SOAP server. In these chapters are created use case diagrams and the data model. For the information system development was used PHP framework Nette and PostgreSQL database.
