Ethical aspects of intercultural phenomenon of Czech Republic inbound tourism focused on Russian tourists

1 ABSTRACT This analytical-empiric study presents ethical aspects of the intercultural phenomenon in inbound tourism of Czech Republic focused on Russian tourists mapping topic which hasn't been covered in such a wide scope yet. The multicultural and intercultural definition of the words is described in great depth in the theoretical part of the of this study as the terminology is strongly ambiguous. The special attention is not only paid to the interests and preferences of the tourists but also to the history especially aimed to so-called "Russian soul" and delimitation of the position "we" and "they" and "they" and "we". The data, collected by quantitative and qualitative author's research, complete and penetrate the whole theoretical frame of the study. The research part contains quantitative (24 subjects) and qualitative (2 respondents) research. It detects ethic dilemma and presents the specifics of the Russian tourists in inbound tourism of Czech Republic. We present the result as a substantiated constatation that the category "they" has a lot of prejudice from both sides and it causes unpleasant conflicts which can be prevented when the knowledge of when and how the prejudice was created is in place. Models Supporting Decision Making of a Tourism Destination Management

This diploma thesis focuses on the application of system thinking and its methods to the issues of decision making within destination management and its organizations. The main aim of the thesis was to create a model to support decision making of destination management organization and to plan sustainable and responsible tourism development in the destination. A partial aim was to create a simplified model in which a simulation of the given system was performed. This aim has been applied to the destination of Cesky Krumlov. The contribution of the work is to find optimal decisions, policies and individual processes in order to assess the subsequent impacts and manage the development of tourism destination towards sustainability.
The Importance of Small Schools with Mixed-age Classrooms for Villages and their Inhabitants

The diploma thesis deals with the importance of small schools for municipalities and their inhabitants. It focuses on the views and memories of individual residents who attended a small school in their village. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two main chapters, the first one deals with mixed-grade education and the other with a teacher in the classroom with mixed grades. The first chapter defines the concept of a small school, it also takes into account the history and distinguishes between the types of small-class schools. This chapter also discusses small-scale schools in the countryside, it examines the climate and environment in the small schools, and their advantages and disadvantages. Last but not least, it sees the small school as an alternative school, and also takes into account alternative schools with mixed grades structure abroad. The second chapter focuses on the teacher in the small school, his attitudes, values, personality, authority, as well as his professional knowledge and skills. The research part of the thesis was realized by semi-structured interviews. Qualitative research has shown that even though former pupils often remember at school in a good way, they do not always trust that system of teaching so much that they entrust their children to school unconditionally. The biggest surprise of the thesis was the finding that the memories of a particular small school are largely influenced by the memories of a particular teacher, his personality, behavior and manners, not the school itself. On the other hand, most of the respondents have had bad memories about their transition, it was stressful for most of them, they have been badly integrated into a new collective and a new environment, some of them have also encountered bullying. These facts discourage some people from putting their children in a small school.
International Taxation of Dividends

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of taxation of dividends from the point of view of legal entities. Taking into account the breadth of the topic, the work is focused on the taxation of dividends, which are due to a legal entity having its registered office or place of management in the territory of the Czech Republic. It specifies the legal provisions on the issue, both international, EU and national. The findings are applied to a complex model example that sets out the accounting view of the issue beyond the process of dividend taxation.
Sustainable and Responsible Tourism in a Smart Destination

The main aim of the work was to apply the principles of sustainability and responsibility in the tourist destinations with the concept of Smart cities and Smart Regions and the use of modern methods and trends for the development of tourism in the tourist destination. These targets were applied to the town of Český Krumlov. One part of the thesis is quantitative research, which examines relations between residents of Český Krumlov and its visitors. According to research results, the design part was elaborated. The suggestions are focused on the development of new smart technologies in transport. Smart, modern and sustainable traffic management in the destination is one of the important components of the Smart City concept. The aim of the suggestion part is to create comprehensive traffic management system that could be useful for visitors of the city and for residents too.
Immigration Policy of the European Union: Legal Status of Third-Country Residents

This master thesis deals with the issue of development of the EU immigration policy and expansion of the rights of third-country nationals who have been legally residing in the territory of the Union throughout this development. The aim of this thesis is to outline the crucial milestones in the form of primary and secondary legislation that led to the broadening of the scope of rights of third-country nationals in the Union, while examining their legal status in the Union in general and in the Member States in particular. The first part of this master thesis introduces the historical background, outlines the development in context of the European Union and provides the categorisation of legal third-country nationals residing in the territory of the EU, whereas the second part of the thesis deals with transposition of European legislation into national legislation of the selected Member States - Germany and the Czech Republic - while drawing a line of compliance and emphasising local requirements that were introduced in addition to (but not exceeding the scope of limitation provided by) EU legislation. Person-centered Care in Residential Care Facility for the Elderly

The aim of this thesis is to identify and to describe barriers to the implementation of person-centered care in specific residential care facility for the elderly. For this purpose, the author firstly conceptualizes the concept of person-centered care. Consequently, she develops the Framework for conducting research. The theoretical portion consists of five chapters. The first chapter focuses on the person- centered care concept introduction, then it describes the relationship between concepts 'individualization of care' and 'person-centered care'. In the conclusion of the first chapter, the Schema of the concept is introduced. The Schema visualizes the structure for chapters two to five. In those chapters, a description of the systems defined in the Schema is provided. Those are: Care Recipients, Direct Care Actors, and Service Providers. The end of the first part brings the topic of a suitable organizational culture. Percepcion tourist destinations Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou by residents

The purpose of my thesis is the application of the concept of the socio-cultural-carrying capacity of the territory via example of giant tourist destinations Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou. For these two destinations basic information about locations are discussed in more detail; as a major ski resort, including equipment material and technical bases, and local infrastructure. In the theoretical part, I focus on definitions and explanations of concepts of tolerable capacity of the area, with a focus on socio-cultural carrying capacity. Furthermore, I discuss Doxey's irritant index which describes the relationship between residents and tourists. In the practical part I focus on the perception of tourism with these specific destinations residents. On the basis of results of my investigation to be carried out probable form of questionnaires and direct interviews, I assess the level of socio-cultural carrying capacity. Then conduct a comparison of the results obtained in Špindlerův Mlýn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The conclusion gives recomendation and a little reflection with satisfaction of the residents lifestyle in these communities and further development of these destinations from the perspective of residents.
International and domestic aspects of double taxation

This diploma thesis deals with different aspects of international and domestic double taxation. Within international double taxation short treatise about national legislation related to double taxation is followed by the longer part dedicated on the tax conventions on income and capital which are the most effective instrument in the field of double taxation elimination. Then the negotiation process and their place in czech domestic legislation is described. One part focuses on the role played by European union in direct tax adjustment. Part about residence determinig (both individuals and companies) in case of existence of the tax convention and in case of its absence follows. Unilateral, multilateral and bilateral measures especially are desribed. As the example to illustrate the impact of different methods used to eliminate double taxation on tax is given practical calculation. Double taxation elimination procedure is explained on the concrete kind of income (dividends) at the end of the international double taxation charter. Within domestic double taxation its causes and kinds are desribed. Finally, last part looks at current and forthcoming czech legislation related to economical domestic double taxation.
