Light Controlled by Microcomputer with Wireless Interface
Kéry, Július ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Light is a part of human life since birth. Therefore, it is logical, that today's technologies tried to use this aspect of our life at different levels up to the possibility of wireless control. Today, at every step, we can see the results of human effort. Traffic lights and lamps serving as security measures, advertising boards that create interest in people. Light is also used as a means of treating people with various problems and illnesses - light therapies.
Experimental hardware musical instrument demonstrating possible means of colour sonification
Rezek, Václav ; Jirásek, Ondřej (referee) ; Dlouhý, Dan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to design and build an experimental musical instrument SuperDuperRainbowThing. The experiment nature of which lies in sonification of the colour spectrum. The hardware is built using Arduino microcontroller and a single board computer Raspberry Pi. Software communicates with the hardware via a MIDI protocol and is written in Python programming language and patched in Pure Data graphical environment. The instrument creates a sound output based upon colour selected by the user in real time.
Detection of Landscape in Images
Dufka, Zbyněk ; Křupka, Aleš (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The target of this thesis is theoretical summary of methods, which are used for detection of objects in database of images. Next step is to develope own algorhytm for detection of landscape. Theoretical part describes methods Viola-Jones and HOG, which are used for detection of human faces and anomalies on radiographs. This analysis is concerned with segmentation method and algorhytm for data mining from images, which contain the landscape scenery. Appropriate method and its analysis could contribute to create and to implement into developement enviroment RapidMiner in the second part of thesis.
Acceleration of Data Compression Algorithms Using GPU
Cacek, Pavel ; Drábek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is dealing with possibility of acceleration compression algorithm on graphical card. I have studied specifically the compression algorithm JPEG, which is used for compression image data. The text first introduced technology, which give access to us use computational power of graphics cards.  The work is also focused on the theoretical description of the JPEG and subsequently is describe its implementation using OpenCL and NVIDIA CUDA. Finally, there is a comparison of performance this GPGPU technologies.
Lossy Image Compression
Bařina, David ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Sumec, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with advanced methods of lossy image compression. To the midst of these methods belong the discrete cosine transform and Haar's discrete wavelet transform. Furthermore principles of color models and algorithms used in lossless data compression are explained in this text. The purpose of this thesis is the library implementation that is based on these cognizances.
An application for color coordinate transforms and color mixing
Jurzykowski, Michal ; Štukavec, Radim (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
The most important human sense is sight. We can see thanks to eyes, which are very sensitive on small part of electromagnetic wave. White sunlight contents all the spectrum visible. By decomposition of white sunlight we get colour spectrum. We recognize colours by cones, which are sensitive on red, green and blue spectrum of white light. Informer times it was denited many colour models, which have been using additive and subtractive method od mixing colours. One of the first models which were matemacily defined was CIE 1931, also known as XYZ. Together with this model was created xy chromatic diagram for displaying of colour space. Best known colour models are RGB and CMY. In TV technics is used model YUV. Models HSV and HSL are more intuitiv. This models have three basic parameters: hue, saturation and brightness.
Traffic lanes and interruptions detection
Dojava, Marian ; Červinka, Luděk (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with depiction aplication of camera like sensitive element for assisting system of car. It was proposed, how find a road, a lane and a obstacle on roadways. Only one camera was aplication for it. Solution is realized by methods, that are based on color and gradient of image. It applies simple methods and methods with mathematical model. Result is sum of method and its test and comparing. Realization of my program is present at resume of this thesis.
Interactive web applications for image processing education
Krolop, Filip ; Záviška, Pavel (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Introduction to theory related to applets that will be used for educational purposes, creation of custom design, draft of their basic functionality and control elements, followed by own implementation and optimization. This is an interactive submission of image processing algorithms specifically, applets are focused on color models, their relationships and calculations between each other: 1 / Pallet (index) image representation, 2 / Colormixing in different models, 3 / Color image conversion to grayscale image, 4 / Conversion of a grayscale image to color image (false colors). Applets implemented using HTMLand JavaScript to demonstrate the theory and encourage students to interact.
Vegetation Detection in Images
Černá, Tereza ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Přibyl, Bronislav (advisor)
This project focuses on detection of vegetation in digital image and describes approaches to detect vegetation. Created aplication uses grass detection method in video in real time. There is a new mean of evaluation of the method proposed in this project, using commonly used pixel by pixel detection and also a new detection approach, segment detection. Functionality of the application is checked by set of test images. The thesis is concluded by comparing results of those two approaches. Success of correctly detected vegetation ranges up to 86.32 %.
Digital filters for image processing
Všetička, Václav ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This work is dedicated to methods for editing the digital image. When you need an suitable algorithm to highlight the desired information from the image, or conversely, suppress disturbing elements in the picture. This work describes a few most basic image editing filters to use common in technical and medical practice. The result of this work are implementing some filters into Java.
