Measure the level of Leanness of specific company in the electronics industry

This thesis brings a view of the Leanness level of company based on ethnographic research. The combination of these two disciplines, the Lean concept and ethnography, is unique and brings new direction to research the level and approach of organizations to Lean philosophy. There is possible to assess the company in areas of value for customers, waste and continuous improvement through the research. Through the analysis, it is possible to find out where the organization has areas for improvement. The aim of the thesis is to propose the step to increase the level of Leanness of the organization. The thesis deals with the analysis and measurement of Leanness level of production and administrative processes in a manufacturing plant in the electronics industry.
Lean Start Up for product SweetBox

This Bachelors Thesis (BT) aims to purpose a guide for the continuous development of the product SweetBox, applying Lean StartUp approach and Operations Management tools. The motivation of this BT development of a start up company, with little investments and resources in possession. To fulfil the aim, a guide for Lean StartUp development is constructed. This BT is built upon usage of Lean StartUp cycle methodology, through preparation of hypothesis and cycles. Each cycle has hypothesis and knowledge to help create and alter the product. By iteration, after three cycles, a primary guide is proposed. This BT evidences the viability of Lean StartUp model. The obtained knowledge facilitates the presentation of the final product version. Interviewers were successfully transformed from non-buyers to buyers and eventual sales figures stabilized. The methodology is recent, introduced in 2011 year. This kind of method for company and product development was originated and mainly applied in Information Technology firms. The BT contributes to the body of knowledge, evidencing that the methodology works and feasible to apply. This BT demonstrates the application of this method in the product producing companies.
Business Process Improvement Proposal

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on process improvement in a specific company. It explains the concept of process management and highlights the benefits of continuous improvement. There is analysis of current situation in the company and a process map. Based on the findings, process improvements are proposed, which allow elimination of waste and reduce cost of the process.
Proposal for Process Control of the Honing Operation

The study investigates potential of promising combination of Lean principles and Industry 4.0 tools in order to find a solution for control of manufacturing process. Firstly, each of the buzzwords is defined and their relation is explained. Then, rules which will facilitate implementation of I4.0 tools into Lean production are enumerated. Afterwards, situation at the shopfloor is observed and statistical analysis of production data is done to analyze current manufacturing process. Deep investigation revealed strong potential for improvement, which was the motive to elaborate a proposal for Lean automated process control.
Assessment level of leanness in the automotive company

Lean management is an approach that has made a revolution in a several industries. The measurement of its approach usually deal with quantitative approaches. However, the expansion of this phenomena lacks of qualitative perspective. Therefore, this is new opportunity to explore new metric to determinate the level of leanness of the organisation. This thesis explores new approach to deal with measurement of leanness. Main goal is to analyse level of leanness in the company automotive industry through the ethnography research and propose improvement which increase current state in that company.

The Lean concept arises from Toyota Production Syste (TPS). Then, the concept of leanness includes Value, Waste and Continuous Improvement. An organization with high level of leanness creates higher value to customers with lower level of waste within a continuous improvement environment. The examination of these diploma theses determines a new approach of lean measurement. Although, the use of ethnography is new in Lean management, it opens new possibilities to understand the behavior of the people about the organizational leanness.
Possibilities of Using the Six Sigma Method in a Company

The work is focused on the possibilities of using Six Sigma methods in the company DHL International GmbH. The main aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the current progress of Six Sigma method in DHL International GmbH and in case of the detection of deficiencies propose appropriate recommendations. For this purpose the semistructured interview with an employee of the company was conducted and also the analysis of a particular Six Sigma project was accomplished. The theoretical part characterizes a basic concepts related to the Six Sigma method, the major steps, key tools and there are also mentioned other methods that are used in DHL company. In the empirical part is the Six Sigma method applied to a specific project. The recommendations have been proposed based on consultation with DHL employees and with the experts in the field of process improvement. The recommendations are presented in the conclusion of the work.
Administrative processes in the enterprise

Bachelor thesis Administrative processes in the enterprise deals especially with processes improving methods. The thesis is dividend in two parts. The first part, a teoretical one, focuses on a brief explanation of terms such as processes and procedure control, along with describing improvement methods Lean, Six Sigma and its tools Five S, Kaizen or DMADV and DMAIC. The second part describes deficiencies of the named procedures in a company, which are described at first, then evaluated and there is a proposal for improving such deficiencies afterwardas. In the final part of this thesis there is an evaluation of these processes and its benefits.
Solving of the logistic problem using Lean management, System Approach and Operation Research methods

The master thesis is focused on problems within the Logistics System of an unnamed company. The theoretical part introduces Systemic Approach problem solving, as well as the methodology of Six Sigma and Lean Management and its analytical tools, and finally with Logistics as the section of Operations Research. The practical part contains a brief introduction to the company profile, the use of Systemic Approach and methods of Six Sigma and Lean. Procedures of these methods are compared afterwards. Within the System Approach is also done the analysis using Operational Research Method - the Queuing System. Based on the analysis is determined a model that expresses the best use of the system.
Change Processes by Lean Production Methods
