Práce je zaměřena na možnosti využití metody Six Sigma ve společnosti DHL International GmbH. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení dosavadního postupu metody Six Sigma ve společnosti DHL International GmbH a v případě zjištěných nedostatků navrhnout vhodná doporučení. K tomuto účelu byl absolvován polostrukturovaný rozhovor s pracovníkem společnosti a rovněž byla provedena analýza konkrétního Six Sigma projektu. V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány základní pojmy týkající se metody Six Sigma, její hlavní kroky, klíčové nástroje a rovněž jsou zmíněny další metody využívané společností DHL. V praktické části práce je metoda Six Sigma aplikována na konkrétním projektu. Na základě konzultací se zaměstnanci DHL a odborníky v oblasti zlepšování procesů byla navržena doporučení ke zjištěným nedostatkům, která jsou prezentovaná v závěru práce. The work is focused on the possibilities of using Six Sigma methods in the company DHL International GmbH. The main aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the current progress of Six Sigma method in DHL International GmbH and in case of the detection of deficiencies propose appropriate recommendations. For this purpose the semistructured interview with an employee of the company was conducted and also the analysis of a particular Six Sigma project was accomplished. The theoretical part characterizes a basic concepts related to the Six Sigma method, the major steps, key tools and there are also mentioned other methods that are used in DHL company. In the empirical part is the Six Sigma method applied to a specific project. The recommendations have been proposed based on consultation with DHL employees and with the experts in the field of process improvement. The recommendations are presented in the conclusion of the work.
