Using school garden to teach biology in ZŠ Hostýnská school

The thesis aims on complex description of environmental features of ZŠ Hostýnská school ground and evaluating its using for teaching biology. In theoretic part the importance of school grounds for educating is introduced, history of school gardens and current state of their using is described. Next part is focused on current using of school ground and description of its environment. Floristic investigation made by author in 2014-2015 is included. In frequent visits author found and determinated 117 species of vascular plants, which is a sign of relatively high biodiversity. Finally using of school ground is compared with school book and key competences. Plans and suggestions for future improvements are given. Five work sheets with methodic suggestions are included.
Teacher Interaction Style in Connection with His Work with the Key Competence for Learning

The aim of this master thesis is to discover correlation trends between teacher interaction style and his extent of providing opportunities for teaching how to learn. According to the results the aim is to create a prototype of the teacher interaction style, who has got the best dispositions to provide opportunities for teaching how to learn. The first and the second chapter deal with theoretical basis. Key competences, especially key competence for learning are depicted in the first chapter. The second chapter focuses on a topic of pedagogical communication and interaction and it is concluded with a discussion of the interaction style of the teacher. All the details on this research are described in the third chapter. The methodology is topped with the results, discussions and the overall finish. At the end of the work the bibliographic references, attachments, lists of figures and tables are revealed.
Controversial issues in civic education: example of gender and stereotypes

The thesis is focused on research on teaching controversial issues in civic education. The aim is to examine the utilization of controversies in classes and the analysis of the application of various methods using controversies. In the first part the theoretical base of the thesis was defined and also the importance of integrating controversial topics was explained. Moreover, the anchorage in curricular documents was presented and also the psychological theories of development of thinking and moral together with different methods were described. In the second part, the methodological base of the thesis was stated and one concrete lesson with the topic of gender and stereotypes was drafted. The qualitative research took place in two classes of secondary school in the form of active observations of students and structured interviews with their teachers of civic education. The results show some differences in students' competences according to the amount of integration of controversial topics in classes. Value - based education using Method Persona Dolls

This thesis deals with Method Persona Dolls, which evolves children's approach and values, it is pre-eminently focused on empathy development, creativity, self-confidence, positive evaluation of others and forms of pro-social behaviour. The theoretical part is focused on the description of curriculum reforms and characteristic of curriculum documents in general, particularly on Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. The theoretical part further deals with this method from the point of view of theoretical principles, methods of its use and contribution, but from the point of drawback as well, which can occur when using this method. The method is also analysed from the point of view of curriculum documents as a possible tool for key competencies development. In addition, it is concerned about emotional intelligence and grade-schoolers emotional development, values and emotion description. Furthermore, the concept of value-based education of Cyril Mooney will be concerned as next item. Both methods are compared and I search for possible linkage between Method Persona Dolls and strategies used in value education. Comparison of Systems of Social and Legal Protection of Children in the Czech Republic and in Finland

The thesis briefly describes basic terms, international acts and legislation which relate to the social and legal protection of children. In greater detail, it goes over the individual components of Czech and Finnish systems of social and legal protection of children. Afterwards, both systems and its positives and negatives are compared and the main advantages of Finnish system which could be beneficial four the Czech system are described. To achieve the goals, the information from the literature are used together with the survey in which participated social workers from the Czech Republic and Finland.

The diploma thesis deals with teaching students of the lower secondary school about the topics of the local region and the migration of the population. The diploma thesis characterizes four specific methods and forms for teaching the local region from the point of view of migration. The methods are based on cross-subject relations and key competences of the students. Afterwards, the thesis is evaluated the process and the fulfilment of the objectives of the application of two teaching topics in geography lessons at the lower secondary school Vodňany in March 2019. Activation methods such as work with the map, walking in the vicinity, field lessons, etc. are often used for teaching the local region. One of the goals was also student´s active approach to geography lessons in creating their own learning activities. Part of the thesis is also an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey focused on teaching the local region and migration from the perspective of teachers of geography and the knowledge of students about these topics. The results are favourable for the purpose of the thesis. Teachers link the topics of the local region and migration, it demonstrates that the proposed learning activities can use in the practice. Students have shown relatively good knowledge of the local region and during learning activities were able to use knowledge. In the introduction of the thesis is elaborated the theoretical part of the thesis, which is related to the themes of geography didactics, interdisciplinary relations, FEP BE, key competences, forms and methods of teaching.
Education in values by Persona Dolls method

This diploma thesis deals with the Persona Dolls method, which consciously works with prejudices. The theoretical part is focused on the mapping of the changes in the current education that has been practiced in Czech education since 1989. The curriculum documents, which regulate education, have been developed. The second chapter concerns the area of values for which school can be the stimulating environment in which they can evolve. The central part of the theoretical part is the chapter dealing with the Persona Dolls method. It focuses on the theoretical starting points of the method, the goals, the method of working with the method, presents the conditions for realization, then the pitfalls that can prevent the effectiveness of working with the method. The last chapters of the theoretical part are devoted to linking the Persona Dolls and Framework Educational Programs, especially in the area of key competencies. It then deals with the context of the method and values of society. Topics in Teeaching Geography of Religion at the Second Grade of Primary Schools focusing on the key competences

The diploma thesis deals with topics in the teaching of geography of religion at the 2nd grade of elementary school. The aim of the thesis is to create own educational material focused on the geography of religion, which will develop pupils in the key competences resulting from interdisciplinary relationships. The theoretical part is devoted to the classification of teaching methods and their characteristics. Futher, the issue of geography of religion is placed in the context of RVP ZV and monitored at selected schools. From the point of view of the given topic, attention is also paid to the didactical evaluation of geography textbooks for the 2nd level of primary schools with the current MŠMT clause. At the end of the thesis there is a proposal of own teaching material in the form of various activities that will interestingly approach pupils to the given topic.
Teaching psychology at secondary school and its effect on the student's self-concept

Artefiletics activity in preschool education

In my bachelor thesis, I aim to explore the possibility of utilization of artefiletics activities at preschool education, which should lead to personality development of preschool children. This bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts, namely theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with development psychology and characterization of preschool age in relation to the artefiletics. In context with the Framework Educational Program, this part also focuses on the artefiletics as one of options of educational supply at a kindergarten. The practical part describes realization of artefiletics activities with preschool children along with children's personal experiences and their expressions. The conclusion contains summary of findings from my research.
