Jurková, Magdalena ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Vosmíková, Simona (referee)
Title: Case report of therapeutic care of patient after total knee replacement. Objectives: The aim of this work is to demonstrate both theoretical and practical information to the subject of total knee replacement. Showing on one side the therapeutic care of patient after total knee replacement and presenting on the other side the summary of theoretical knowledge about the topic of knee joint and total joint replacements. Methods: This study is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical and deals with the subject of knee joint seen from the anatomical, kinesiological, biomechanical and orthopedical perspective. Furthermore it contains basic information to the issue of knee replacements, their most common indications, possible complications and subsequent therapeutic methods and techniques after total knee replacement. The second part is a special section which shows in detail a case report of therapeutic care with patient after total knee replacement. It was established under the guidance of a private healthcare facility MediCentrum Praha during my university-internship . The case report includes patients anamnesis, an input kinesiology analysis, a short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, a detailed description of the course of therapy, a resulting kinesiology analysis and an...

A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with total knee replacement
Valovičová, Andrea ; Dvořáčková, Dominika (advisor) ; Sohrová, Jana (referee)
Author: Andrea Valovičová Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with total knee replacement Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis is to introduce the problematics of total knee replacement based on literature research. The objective of the practical part is to introduce a case report of a patient after total knee replacement. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and special (practical). The theoretical part provides basic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, gonarthrosis, total knee replacement and the subsequent rehabilitation care. The special part contains a case study of a patient after total knee replacement. The study was executed during continuous professional practice in CLPA s.r.o. The special part consists of the kinesiological analysis, the proposition of the short-time and long-time therapy, the description of individual therapeutic units and the outcome of the kinesiological analysis and evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: The patient has completed 8 therapeutic units during which there was an observable improvement in the range of motion of the left knee, strengthening of the weakened muscles and reduction of the joint swelling and pain. Furthermore, joint play was restored on the left...
Use of biochemical markers (Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 and hyaluronic acid) for laboratory diagnosis of metabolic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system
Kotaška, Jan ; Trč, Tomáš (advisor) ; Klapková, Eva (referee) ; Karpaš, Karel (referee)
Use of biochemical markers (Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 and hyaluronic acid) for laboratory diagnosis of metabolic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system Abstract Musculoskeketal disorders currently belong to the most common diseases. The presented work describes the use of biochemical markers (Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 and hyaluronic acid) for laboratory diagnosis of metabolic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Concentrations of LP-PLA2 were significantly elevated in the patients with bone resorption compared to the control group of healthy individuals. Serum levels of Lp-PLA2 also negatively correlated with decreased levels of serum osteocalcin in patients. HA concentrations in synovial fluid did not differ from published reference values in synovial fluid. Patients who underwent arthroscopy had significantly elevated synovial HA concentration than patients who underwent total knee endoprosthesis. HA positively correlates with osmotic pressure determined by examination of osmolality in synovial fluid. Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 concentrations are elevated in patients with bone density impairment. LpPLA2 concentrations correlate with the severity of bone density impairment expressed by the T score. Hyaluronic acid concentrations in patients with knee...
