Nowadays it is becoming more popular to travel and at the same time to get acquainted with the gastronomy and the culture of a foreign country. The theme of this thesis is the gastronomic tourism and the offer of gourmet tours. The aim is to evaluate the current state of gastronomic tourism with the help of analysis of tours for gourmets offered by Czech and Russian travel agencies. Rating is based on the offer of gourmet tours listed on the websites of travel agencies.
The business concept of catering in area south Bohemia

The diploma thesis deals with the creation of a business concept to catering company in České Budějovice. At first, the chosen area and their potentional of the gastronomic point of view including competitor analysis of catering services were analyzed using secondary sources. In addition, primary sources were obtained with a guided questioning with entrepreneurs and a questionnaire surfy designed for corporate clients. Based on all the fading, the business concept of new catering company "Bohemia Catering" in České Budějovice was assembler, including the financial plan and concrete proposals of gastronomic-society events.
The importance of food festivals and competitions in the Czech Republic

The thesis describes importance of food festivals and competitions in the Czech Republic and their current status in Czech tourism. The aim is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of organizing of food events and based on analyze to characterize current structure of Czech market of food festivals and competitions. The first two chapters are dedicated to presentation of related terms and to explanation of the theory of event marketing and management. The practical part includes the aforementioned market analysis and its important part is a presentation of chosen food events undertaken in 2011. One chapter is also devoted to the introduction of expected future development and provides an overview of current trends.
Gastronomy of Spain

The aim of the thesis is to point out the importance of Spanish gastronomy for the tourism of the country and not only by using the one another connection between gastronomy and tourism, but also by characterization of typical features of Spanish cuisine and mentioning regional gastronomic differences, which contribute to its diversity. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is described the relationship between tourism and gastronomy. Gastronomy is not only one of the basic elements, which support the tourism of Spain, but it is also important for the related industries. There are mentioned basic geographical information, history of the country so as history of Spanish gastronomy. The thesis describes typical habits and traditions connected with food. The gastronomic differences of particular autonomous regions and their typical dishes and product are important too. The thesis deals with todays newest gastronomic trends in Spanish gastronomy, which influence it pretty much. It is especially the molecular gastronomy, fusion food, slow food, showcooking. The association Saborear Espaňa ("Taste Spain") cares for the advertisement of Spanish gastronomy abroad and tries to promote the national cuisine, typical products and wine routes among the foreign tourists.
