Adhesion of Adhesive Joints for Facade Applications Made of Wood-based Materials
Nečasová, Barbora ; Schmid, Pavel (referee) ; Sedlák,, Petr (referee) ; Kovářová, Barbora (advisor)
The presented dissertation thesis is focused on investigating the adhesive properties of façade cladding made of wood and wood-based materials in combination with flexible adhesion/assembly systems. The systems allow the implementation of effective construction joints and provide a solution with uniform stress distribution which allows the transfer of heavy loads, while simultaneously reducing the weight of the entire structure, which is also often connected with substantial cost reductions. Despite all that, little attention has been paid to this area so far. It is not a solution which is properly embodied in technical standards or in designers´, architects´ and contractors´ awarenesses. The aim of this dissertation is to characterise adhesive properties of selected façade cladding representatives made of wood and wood-based materials for the purposes of bonded joint application in a ventilated façade system. To define adhesion of façade joints, numerical and experimental methods are used, taking also various limit conditions into account. The main conclusion of the dissertation is the characterisation of basic parameters which influence adhesion, effectiveness and quality of façade glued joints. The secondary conclusion is the compilation of a simple methodical procedure for testing and implementing façade glued joints. The dissertation also makes a contribution by extending the current state of knowledge of façade adhesive joints.
Increasing the durability of cement-bonded particleboards using surface treatments
Zrza, Ondřej ; Vacula, Miroslav (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
Materials based on renewable rew materials are even in modern architecture still applied. Due to their nature exhibit sensitivity to weathering, e.g. in terms of their durability, volume stability etc. These undesirable charakteristics can be achieved by suitable finish. Within thesis were evaluated currently used types of coatings and their application in order to eliminate the adverse effects, such as frost, chemical deicing agents or chemicals.
Constructive-technological Study of repairing siding Contact Insulation
Wojnar, Aleš ; Klimszová, Alžběta (referee) ; Diaz, Yvetta (advisor)
The construction-technological study of revitalization of external cladding focuses on overall thermal insulation of residential house through contact insulating system. Thermal insulation will be carried out on the bottom of the building, the facade, roof and ceilings in the basement. During revitalization will reset also the loggia, gutter and access to walkways.

Multifunctional Building Brno
Brázdová, Zuzana ; Manová, Ludmila (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is a new building solution of a multifunctional house foundedon the corner of the streets Táborská and Letní. Bachelor thesis is focused on practical analysis of used anchor elements for particular areas. The beginning of the thesis devides anchor and fastening elements based on its construction as well as information meant for correct element proposal, especially in civil engineering. The thesis also mentiones couple of examples where anchoring makes the most important part for the overall functionality. Second part of the bachelor thesis focuses on materials and element’s surface adjustment, espacially against corrosion. In conclusion, there are mentioned examples of testings, whether for the particular element’s resistance to corrosion or for its cohesiveness in anchored bedrock.
Leisure Time Centre Brno
Sudolský, Filip ; Fišer, Jiří (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The main subject of the project was to create architecture study for new building of free time center, which will be integrated to surrounding of a local park in a context with structure of a city around. The site plan is placed in park area on the end of the city part Nový Lískovec which is put lower comparing to surrounding. Other building and terrace houses are surrounding it. The main intention in design was to sensitively touch and fill the place with building link to the closest surrounding. The idea of making a connection on pedestrian communication on eastern area between terrace houses, which is pointing to busy bus stop. By this line and Plachty Street was the building geometrically made on purpose to leave the park and to create certain public space for spending free-time. By this distribution two parts was made. Hall part with gym, dressing room and gym for extreme sports, where trampolines, u-ramp, and pool with foam cubes are dominates. In second part there is café with polyfunctional rooms and mediatheque for watching movies, playing games or making small presentations. In front of Café there is created amphitheater and space for placing terrace in the summer time. Other main thing was to create easy movement for people bikes or baby-carriages and so on.
