E-mail Client for OpenMoko
Krátký, Pavel ; Bartoň, Radek (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Openmoko is a revolutionary Linux platform with an expanding community of developers. The goal of the project is to create a user-friendly email client programmed in Java and analyze the difficulties of application development on this platform. The thesis discusses possibilities of development of this kind of applications, especially those using SWT widget toolkit. JavaMail library which handles the electronic mail is described as well. In conclusion we demonstrate advantages and disadvantages of the created program. The outcome of this thesis is an email client designed for mobile Linux devices with touch control and an introduction to software development on the Openmoko platform.

IT infrastructure monitoring system using robotic process automation
Valíček, Matěj ; Mikulášek, Michal (referee) ; Sikora, Marek (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis was to create a tool for categorizing elektronic mail using Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The categorization is based on a message with category „_TEMPLATE“ and the similarity of its subject with the subject of the incoming message. The robot further analyzes the punctuality of the messages and in case of delay, the administrator is notified about the situation. Finally, messages are moved to the archive folders so that only one message from each subject remains in the main folder at any time.
Secured transfer of digital messages
An Anti-spam Software Plugin For E-Mail Classification Based On Geographical Location Of The Sender
Kovařík, M. ; Caha, T.
Every e-mail sent must be transferred by one or more mail servers. Some of these servers are connected to the Internet using a public IP address. IP addresses can be geographically located, e.g., using geolocation databases. This means e-mails can be classified by the location of the sender. This paper introduces an anti-spam plugin for such classification. The plugin is implemented for SpamAssassin anti-spam software. The basic functionality was implemented. By using this plugin, one can define a penalty score for specific countries as e-mail origins.
A proposal of a method to detect spam from information messages
Rickwood, M. ; Oujezský, V.
This paper presents a spam detection algorithm that uses solely traffic flow logs in the form of Netflow messages. Internet service providers must detect spam in order for their entire subnets not to be marked as spamming stations. The algorithm was drafted based on an analysis of various datasets containing Netflow records. These datasets consist of valid e-mails, spam and common non e-mail related traffic. The algorithm uses domain name system blacklist verification as the first step of identifying a spamming station. Furthermore, theoretical models of valid clients and spammers have been laid out. In continuation of this work, the dataset will be studied to find correlation with the models. Included in the tracked parameters one can find the number of incoming and outcoming messages, timestamps amongst others.
