Innovation of built-up crankshaft for minibike engines
Doležal, Lukáš ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Hanuš, Stanislav (advisor)
The present diploma thesis deals with innovation of built-up crankshaft of Blata minibikes. Minibike is the type of a small two-stroke motorcycle equipped with an internal combustion engine of the volume 40 or 50 cm3. The machine is designed for racing circuits; not only for young riders but also for seniors. The innovation is in the design and verification of pressed connections in the imposition of major pins in the arms of the crankshaft. Pressed connections are designed on the basis of the analysis of force interaction on the crankshaft at maximum revolutions. The proposed solutions are verified by FEM calculations. Based on the results, the best option is selected. For the selected option, the impact of force interaction at maximum machine performance is studied. Finally, on the basis of these facts, designing, technological and economic analysis of feasibility of new production technology is carried out.
Analysis of the crank mechanism of a two-stroke engine
Matyáš, David ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a comparison of two versions of the crank mechanism of the Jawa 350 two-stroke engine. The diploma thesis if prefaced by researching the design solutions of multi-cylinder two-stroke engines with examples of their use. The following is a description of the theoretical properties of the two examined crank mechanisms in terms of inertial effects. For both engine concepts, the engine performance characteristics is measured and compared to each other. The engine with modified crankshaft is subjected to a pressure indication, which serves as one of the inputs to the strength analysis of the crankshaft. This is done by a combination of MBS simulation, FEM analysis and calculation of fatigue safety factor by LSA analytic method.
Trabant engine modernization
Kočka, Martin ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to make a list of available knowledge of the P63 engine, found in the Trabant 601 cars. Overview of its advantages and disadvantages, proposal of possible design changes, which would lead to elimination of the disadvantages, while increasing the power output of the engine. Assembly of the engine using the proposed modifications.
Two Stroke Engine Indirect Fuel Injection
Kovář, Michal ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with indirect fuel injection on new two-stroke engine for motocross sidecar. The purpose of this work was to design the fuel injection system together with length of the fuel injection times. To determine the fuel injection times, it was necessary to determine the complete exhaust system that affect the volumetric efficiency. The conclusions were based on research in the field of two-stroke engines and calculations determining the amount of fuel per one cycle. The injection method together with the location of the fuel injector and type of fuel injector that can be use were determined and then the injection times that can be entered in the ECU.
Model engine for F4 class aircraft
Čížek, Petr ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the construction of two-stroke engine for the propulsion of a scaled aircraft model, which can fall into the category FAI F4. The introduction of this thesis carries out research and familiarization with the category of F4 aircraft. Part of the research is a brief overview of two-stroke and four-stroke variants of model engines, with the fact that more attention is given to the construction details of two-stroke engines. Subsequently, the design and thermodynamic 1-D simulation of the power parameters of the designed engine are carried out, followed by dynamic simulation to verify the lifespan of the engine bearings.
Increasing the Volumetric efficiency of a two-stroke engine
Šmahel, Matěj ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design modification of a chosen two-stroke engine with respect to an increase in its filling efficiency resulting in increased performance. The first part of the thesis describes basic principles of a two-stroke engine alongside a detailed description of all its cycles and their influence on the filling efficiency. The second part is dedicated to the design modification itself ending with a result evaluation.
Gas exchange systems of two-stroke engines
Kovář, Michal ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the development and critical evaluation of the gas exchange system of two-stroke engines. The aim of the work was to use research to concentrate various options for gas exchange system of two-stroke engines of various power categories, to describe individual solutions and point out the advantages and disadvantages of individual systems and then outline possible future developments in this area.
A two stroke engine for paragliding
Šafařík, Petr ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a two-stroke engine for paragliding. First of all, the different types and designs of two-stroke engines are discussed. After the design of the crank mechanism, the forces in the engine are tested, followed by the strength control of selected components. In addition, the work includes design of individual engine components, propeller reducer and 3D models of components and motor unit.
Jawa 50 performance improvement
Horák, Jiří ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on increasing the performance of Jawa Babetta type 225 moped engine. The first part of the bachelor thesis describes the principle of a two - stroke combustion engine and the possibility of its distribution. The next part is dedicated to the modification, which was done experimentally according to information from available literature. The thesis contains a comparison of the results of the serial and modified engine measurements.
