Long-term foster care from the perspective of selected foster parents

This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of long-term foster care in the Czech Republic, from the perspective of foster parents, who are an important part of the form of substitute family care. The work is classically divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the work defines the substitute family care, mainly foster care with a focus on the long-term type, and explains the important aspects and concepts related to the given care are explained. In practical part, we can find an outline of the research, which is aimed at interpreting the identified data, we got thanks to structured interviews created with selected foster parents and comparing them, including a subsequent summary of the main findings briefly recorded in the results of this work. The main objective of this research and overall my bachelor's thesis is to gather up-to-date information on the whole issue of long-term foster care, from the perspective of the actors of long-term foster care, more precisely foster parents. Relevant sources from book publications and internet sources of the issue were used to identify the necessary information during the whole cration of the work, including the mentioned structured interviews with selected foster parents. Views of pupils and students from a selected secondary school and a university on homosexuality, registered partnership and children adoption

The aim of this bachelor essay named "Views of pupils and students from a selected secondary school and a university on homosexuality, registered partnership and children adoption" is to discover how young people perceive this question. Introduction contains the author's reasoning why she has chosen this topic. The essay is then divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the author deals with human sexuality as a whole, explains the grounds of homosexuality and its sources, introduces the history of homosexuality and defines terms related to it, for example "coming out". Further in this section, there is an analysis of registered partnership, its beginning and cessation, rights and obligations of partners, history of adoption of the law on registered partnership in the Czech Republic and possibilities for homosexual person parenting. In the practical part of this essay the author presents a quantitative research carried out through a questionnaire survey aimed at pupils and students of one selected secondary school and one university. Evaluation of preventive program "Prevention of unplanned pregnancies and abortions "

The aim of the thesis is the evaluation of the prevention program of the National Initiative for Life, o.p.s. "The prevention of unplanned pregnancies and abortions," which is designed for pupils of 9th elementary school. The theoretical part will be devoted to basic definitions related to the prevention of sexual risk behavior in primary schools. Furthermore, the issue of teenage pregnancy and the risks of abortion. The conclusion will be presented preventive program "Prevention of unplanned pregnancy and abortion." The practical part will deal with the evaluation of the prevention program at several elementary schools in the Region. As a research tool, a questionnaire will be used to pretest-posttest principle.
Self - esteem in Adolescents in Institutional Care with Foster Care Experiences

This thesis is devoted to the self-esteem in adolescent children (16-18 years), who have a long term foster care experience and due to their educational problems they have been ordered institutional care. The aim of the thesis is to explore how adolescents perceive and evaluate themselves with this experience and whether and how they reflect their experience with subtitute family care and institutional care to their self-esteem. The theoretical part is focused on specifics of adolescence, theoretical construct of self- esteem, system of foster care and institutional care in the Czech republic. The practical part includes research with adolescents within the qualitative paradigm. The form of self-esteem is explored through interviews with boys. Results of the data analysis are compared in the final part with actual theoretical knowledge in this area.
