Analysis of consumption and indebtedness of Czech households

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the development of the consumption and indebtedness of the Czech households from 1993 up to 2014. Another aim is to find out if there is any connection between those two values and how strong that connection is. As the main methods for the fulfilment of the goals are the regressive and correlation analyses and a semi-structured questionnaire as well. The questionnaire involves also association tables for the answers to the research questions. Data used in this analysis were found in commonly accessible sources published on the websites of the Czech Statistical Office and the Czech National Bank. The research shows the permanent growth of the consumption of the households since 1993. The indebtedness of the households slightly oscillated in the 90s and started to grow permanently since 1999-2000. It was found out there is a strong connection between the consumption and the indebtedness and further the indebtedness of the households in the Czech Republic is really high. That is why there are several possible solutions at the end of this thesis how to decrease the indebtedness.
Monetary policy and central banking in the Czech Republic

The subject of my thesis is characteristic of central banking and monetary policy, conducted by the Czech National Bank in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first of these chapters describes central banking, indicates its basic characteristics and functions. The second chapter is more focused on the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank and its nature. There are also defined the various monetary policy tools and their use. The third chapter contains a description of basic macroeconomic indicators and models. Analytical part is also divided into several chapters that describe several aspects of the development of the Czech economy in recent years. The first one contains the characteristics of the Czech economy in terms of sector structure. The second chapter focuses on the development of key macroeconomic data, the inflation and GDP. The third chapter provides an analysis of the development of the selected monetary instruments. In the last chapter, the data will be will evaluated and subjected to paired analysis.
Monetární politika ČNB v prostředí nízkých úrokových sazeb

Diploma thesis deals with evaluating effectiveness of CNB monetary policy in a low interest rate environment. First part of the thesis focuses on identification of monetary policy transmission channels and alternative monetary practices rec-ommended for use in a low inflation environment. Next part of the thesis focuses on qualitative analysis of the impacts of CNB monetary policy between years 2008 to 2015 on inflation rate. These impacts are then quantified by correlation and regression analysis. Based on results of qualitative and quantitative analysis it was concluded, that the effectiveness of CNB policy was low, due to inefficiencies in transmission mechanism and high dependence on foreign economic develop-ment. Based on the conclusion, a recommendations for future monetary policy were made.
The Measures Provided by ECB and CNB During the Financial Crisis and Their Impact on Selected Banks

This diploma thesis deals with the global financial crisis of 2007 to the present moment and monetary policy, which at that time was applied by the Czech National Bank and the European National Bank. It also analyzes the behavior of the two selected banks in the Czech Republic during that period and evaluates how they dealt with the crisis. Finally, suggestions on measures of central banks are stated.
Mortgage Market in the Czech Republic

Selected players will be used to compare mortgage products. A partial objective can be recommendations that can be applied when selecting a mortgage product in personal finance.
Impact of monetary policy by the Fed on stock prices in the United States since 60th years of the 20th century

This thesis deals with the influence of the federal funds rate for the US stock market, represented by the S&P 500. The work aims to analyse the relationship of monetary policy and stock market of the United States in two planes. The first part explores the interconnection between the federal funds rate, the S&P 500 and inflation between 1960 and 2015 in the context of a long period. There is significant effect of interest rates on stocks and the entire economy. The second part quantifies the immediate reaction of the stock market to changes in the base rate of the Federal Reserve System. An overall analysis shows that the market reacts differently to the increase and decrease in the federal funds target rate. The benefit of this work is to determine the average market reaction to the change in the Federal Funds rate in history and the prediction of its future development.

This bachelor thesis focuses on characteristics of payment and credit products in selected countries. It describes the banking system in Czech Republic and banking products suitable for young clients. Further, it characterizes the frequency of the use of banking products, its development and amount in those countries. The sec-ond part is focused on the comparison of selected products in those countries. Next, each product is evaluated in terms of convenience and the number of differ-ent variants. In conclusion, a recommendation is made for innovation of payment and loan product for young people in Czech Republic and survey is created, testing the interest in such products.
