Analysis of landscape changes by means of GIS and RS in the upper Chomutovka River catchment

This work assesses the suitability of selected tools of GIS and remote sensing for classification of black and white aerial photography to analyze changes in land cover in the basin of the upper Chomutovka. Area of interest is located in the highest parts of the Krušné hory mountains, which have historically been significantly affected by imission fallout that resulted in massive forest die-back. For the purpose of quantifying these changes, a series of aerial photographs from 1975 and 1987 were used as a source of data. Selected dates approximately define the interval of the largest forest dieback in the Krušné hory mountains and their comparison well illustrates the extent of this process. These images were combined and orthorectified and than classified by manual vectorization. For orthorectification and mosaicing OrthoEngine module of program Geomatica 10.0 was used. It turned out that due to the specific characteristics of historical aerial photographs resulting orthophoto can show the obvious shortcomings, especially the local deformations, which misrepresents the actual dimensions of landscape components and therefore it is not applicable for accurate classification. The Influence of William of Ockham teaching to the politics of Louis IV of Bavaria The aim of this work is to find out how far was the King of the Romans and Emperor Louis IV of Bavaria willing or able to use the idea fulfilled in work of the Franciscan monk William of Ockham while patterning his state policy. William of Ockham was living for many years at Louis's court and he reacted to the actual political situation in the Roman Empire by his work. Two elections took place after the death of the Roman Emperor Henry VII of Luxembourg. Louis of Bavaria and Friedrich of Habsburg became two Kings of the Romans and enemies to each other, too. This was followed by many years lasting fight for the throne which paralysed all Empire politics and was only finished when Friedrich was taken captive in the battle of Mühldorf. The new Pope John XXII was elected after two years lasting sede vacante in 1316. When Louis of Bavaria began exercise his right to the Italian part of the Empire after the battle of Mühldorf fully, he got into a disagreement with John XXII. It was ended up not only by a denial of king's right to the Northern Italy but also to Germany and Burgundy and to the start of the trial against the person of Louis IV. Kinesiological analysis of upper limb punch strike in sports karate

I ABSTRACT Title: Kinesiological analysis of upper limb punch strike in sports karate. Aim of work: The aim of this thesis to describe and characterize the muscle involement in direct punch strike in karate. Then compared with the exercises, which are characteristic to karate - strikes with resistence and push-up exercise. Methods: Work is processed by a comparative analysis of selected movements based on the determination of muscle activation. The surface electromyography method synchronized with video and accelerometer was used in this work. Results: The result is describtion of selcted movements on the basis of muscle activation and function of selected muscles. The prove that the forearm extensors are activated as the last of the selcted muscles was managed. On the basis of karate technique and anatomy we confirmed important role of forearm extensor by direct punch in karate. The difference between onset time muscle activation by strikes and push up was found. Maximum speed of acral part of the upper limb by direct punch was established. Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after ischemic stroke with right-sided hemiparesis Objective: The main aim of this study is to analyze the theoretical knowledge about etiology, clinical symptoms, stages of disease and the following therapeutic methods used during treatment given to patients who suffered a brain stroke. Secondary, prooveing and veryfing my own capabilities in terms of communication with the pacient and his examination, lastly conducting conclusions and creating concepts of therapy treatments which were practically and subsequently applied. Method: The general part of my bachelor thesis contains theoretical knowledge about etiology, clinical symptoms, varieties and stages of ischemic brain strokes and the following options of therapeutic methods used on pacients with such diagnosis. Light pollution caused by artificial illumination on downhill ski slopes in Krkonoše National Park

Light pollution is often mentioned as an energetic loss but its effect on natural ecosystems is seldom studied. In Krkonoše National Park and other locations in the Czech Republic, artificial illumination of ski slopes is widely used to enable night skiing. In this study, we quantified the area around illuminated ski slopes where the light intensity at night was > 0.1 lx because previous studies showed that this light intensity could have biological effects. For these estimations, 62 transects were laid perpendicular to the illuminated ski slope (12 slopes in total were studied), and illumination was measured with a Extech EA 30 luxmeter at 0 m and 1.5 m above the ground. Transects were located in four basic types of habitat: open plain with snow covering the vegetation; closed spruce forest in which the trees on the margin have branches that reach the ground; open spruce forest in which the trees have branches only in the top part of the trunk, permitting light to penetrate beneath the canopy; and young dense spruce forest. The data were expressed as log of illumination vs. log of distance from the slope. Most measurements were taken on cloudy nights but some were taken on clear nights. Analyse of pectorals activity during dumbell press on the incline bench

Název: Analýza aktivace prsních svalů při tlacích jednoročními činkami na polohovací lavici - Analyse ofPectorals Activity during Dumbell Press on the lncline Bench. Cíl práce: Analyzovat pomocí povrchového EMO měření aktivaci jednotlivých částí prsních svalů při tlacích jednoročními činkami na polohovací lavici ve čtyřech polohách. Následně vytvořit doporučení pro procvičení prsních svalů pomocí tlaků jednoročními činkami na polohovací lavici. Metoda: Elektromyografické měření. Výsledky: EMO měřením jsme zjistili, že musculus pectorallis major - pars clavicularis (velký sval prsní - horní část) se zapojuje ve všech čtyřech modifikacích měřeného cviku. Největší zapojení bylo zaznamenáno na druhém stupni (43ř) šikmé lavice. Musculus pectorallis major- pars stemocostalis (velký sval prsní- střední část) se též zapojuje ve všech čtyřech modifikacích měřeného cviku. U této části velkého prsm'ho svalu bylo největší zapojení pozorováno při tlaku na vodorovné lavici. Poslední ze tří částí musculus pectorallis major- pars abdominalis (velký sval prsní- spodní část) se na rozdíl od ostatních částí zapojoval jen při tlaku na vodorovné lavici. Possibilities of Affecting Upper Cross Syndrome by Strengthening in the Fitness Centre.

Title: Possibilities ofaffecting upper cross syndrome with strengthening in the fitness centre Aims of work: To chaose a group ofthe recreational sportsmen and to compose accurate examinations which shall be used to gain information on the motional system state of monitored people. To realize fixed preliminary examinations and to analyse them. To create the programme of strengthening exercises from the results of examinations for subsequent muscle imbalance stabilization. Working method: Diagnostic method interview assesment examination specific examination of shortened muscles motional stereotype examination Augmentation assay - insulated and complex strengthening Result analysis Results: After evaluation of obtained datas I leamed the following: the therapy had positive influence on physical and mental state of monitored clients and muscle imbalance of cervical spine area was strongly eliminated. On the basis of results I can proclaim applied methods as well chosen and perfectly performed. I appreciate my therapy as effective. A comparative kineziologic analysis of the javelin throw and selected training exercises

Title: A Comparative Kineziologic Analysis of the Javelin Throw and Selected Training Exercises Purposes: The goal of this study is to compare the engagement of selected muscles in the shoulder girdle area during javelin throwing and certain training exercises. Methods: Surface electromyography combined with cinematographic analysis using synchronized video recording. Results: The timing of muscle activation during javelin throwing (side stand) differs from that of certain training exercises. The studied exercises were: javelin throw from the frontal stand, ball throw from the side and the frontal stand, throw simulation using rubber expander and pulley. The timing is similar when different grip (so called fork grip) is used during side stand javelin throw. Key words: shoulder girdle, surface electromyography, kinematic analysis.

Electromyographic Analysis of Selected Muscles during Backhand Throw in Ultimate Frisbee

SOUHRN Název: Elektromyografická analýza vybraných svalů během hodu backhand ve hře ultimate frisbee Title: Electromyographic analysis of selected muscles during a backhand throw in ultimate frisbee Cíl práce: Naše práce se zaměřuje na analýzu svalové činnosti během hodu backhand v jedné z nejnovějších kolektivních her- ultimate frisbee. Sleduje míru společné aktivace extenzorů zápěstí - vykonávajících odhození disku a lopatkových svalů (m.trapezius - kraniální a kaudální porce, m.serratus anterior a m.pectoralis major)- dynamických stabilizátorů lopatky. Dále sleduje rozdíly v zapojení svalů během této aktivity ve skupině trénovaných hráčů ultimate. Metoda: Ke snímání aktivity zmíněných svalů jsme použili metodu povrchové elektromyografie. PEMG zachycuje souvislost mezi svalovou aktivitou na akru a kořenovém kloubu horní končetiny během odhodu disku při backhandu. Výsledky: Experiment ukazuje na rozdílnost v aktivaci svalů ve skupině trénovaných hráčů ultimate frisbee, odvíjející se od individuálního vzoru (resp.stylu) pohybového projevu hráče. This paper studies the question: What is the maximum integer kb,n such that every kb,n-colorable graph has a b-bend n-din1ensional orthogonal box drawing? We give an exact answer for the orthogonal line drawing in all dimensions and for the 3-dimensional rectangle visibility representation. We present an upper and lower bound for the 3-dimensional orthogonal drawing by rectangles and general boxes.
