Domestic electricity production from renewable sources
Halamíček, Milan ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis describes utilization of renewable resources, which can be used for production of electric energy. It presents three ways, one of them is wind power plant, the second is photovoltaic system and the last one is water power plant. There are suggested two ways of electric energy supply to family houses including economic evaluation.
The Repechy Guest-House
Strnad, Miroslav ; Keith, Petr (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is based on a studio project created in the summer term of the third year of the undergraduate studies. The task was the renewal and the extension of the farmhouse for an accommodation facility and other services. The farmhouse is situated in a small village Repechy near the town of Prostejov and is complemented by two other unused buildings. In the second half of the 20th century, rectangular shaped farmhouse with a yard was roofed, interior walls were partially demolished and interior space was used for keeping the cattle. It had a big impact for the current condition of the object. Aggressive environment and high humidity, for which structures were not designed, significantly accelerate the degradation process. Later, the cattle was moved away and the original farmhouse is deteriorating until these days. Currently, the object and its surroundings are in a bad condition. Most of the constructions are damaged and it is not possible to use them anymore. Northern tract is the only part worth protection. There are preserved precious historical chambranles and other plastic decoration. Surroundings is overgrown with wild vegetation. The aim was to preserve and bring out valuable parts of the original object and find them appropriate use under specified conditions. The proposal deals with the removal of three sides of a rectangular farmhouse and preserving the northern tract in the form of a torso. Extension is based on the original farmhouse. Extends the original built up area boundary to use existing structure and creates the first volume, which symbolizes the traditional static form. Rotated duplicate of the first volume then characterized a modern and dynamic attitude in architecture. The final design of an extension is created by synthesis of both volumes as an evidence of the coexistence of a traditional and a modern form. Designed extension has one floor, locally basement and second floor. The extension is also characterized by the use
Renewable sources of energy for residential houses.
Bergr, Josef ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
Aim of the bachelor thesis „Renewable soucers of energy for residential houses“, is the choice of the best alternative heat sources for heating and for hot water from a financial point of view. Therefore, a significant part of the thesis dedicated to economic assessment. In the first part are selected each combination of systems that will be rewarded in the second part are calculated total financial costs over the life of the individual systems. It selected the cheapest system that is subjected to detailed analysis and prepare a chart of financial costs, which is more accurate and performs its design and implementation project. The theoretical part of the legislation mentions and describes the approach to the design of renewable energy and other section is a brief overview of this issue.
Vliv pěstování energetických rostlin na biodiverzitu
DVOŘÁK, Jan
The thesis is focused on the cultivation of energy crop in the Czech Republic and their potential use as renewable energy sources. It describes energy plants grown for the production of liquid fuel, biogas or direct combustion. Furthermore, there is an emphasis on environmental aspects of cultivating these plants. Especially erosion risks of the land on which energy crops are grown, is also evaluated. There is described the species diversity in crops focusing on weeds and ground beetles as bioindicators environment. Part of this work is elaboration a questionnaire with subjects that deal with the cultivation of energy plants. In the questionnaire, there is observed total area and the percentage of types of energy and other cultivated plants. The subjects were also asked about new kinds of energy crops, and whether they planned their growing in the near future.
Selected directives of the European Union from the period 2009 - 2010, their transposition and economic impact in the Czech Republic
Kysil, Maxim ; Ševčíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
The aim of thesis is to evaluate the effect of selected directives in individual sectors in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part defines the defining characteristics of European Union law, especially the directives and their transposition into the Czech rule of law, also describes the decisions and voting in EU and lobbying organization. The analytical part deals with the four selected directives: biofuels, renewable resources, electronic communications and energy performance of buildings. For each directive analysis was made of the transposition and influence in the sector with the result which confirmed in all directives the prevailing negative impact for the Czech Republic.
Investment into renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa
Bursová, Katarína ; Pavlík, Petr (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The main goal of master thesis is to proof that investment into renewable energy may have a positive impact on standard of living for local community and the region of Sub-Saharan Africa. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, while the first one is dedicated to detailed analysis of renewable energies, demographic and geographical indicators, the second one is focused on investment and financing of energy projects. The last chapter leads readers through case study of small hydropower plant into findings that are essential in proving the main idea of whole thesis.
Voluntary approaches to the environmental protection and their use within enterprise
Kuchta, Jiří ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of voluntary approaches to the environmental protection, it firstly describes the importance of protecting the environment, further regulation of environmental protection and possible approaches to environmental protection in the context of social development. Subsequently, attention is also paid to voluntary approaches to the environmental protection, namely the basic division of voluntary approaches to environmental management systems, environmental labeling, eco-design, cleaner production, all-out quality management and environmental management accounting. In the practical part of the text were evaluated voluntary approaches to environmental protection in selected companies, namely Unilever and Hochtief, through the realization of my research was mainly detected, whether the company was, is or will be, effective introduction of voluntary approaches to environmental protection or not, i.e. what are the motives of the company for the introduction and implementation of these voluntary approaches.
Analysis of collective systems and their possible impacts to photovoltaics
Karasová, Markéta ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Branžovský, Antonín (referee)
Diploma work analyzes the collective systems which are solving the disposal of photovoltaic's panels, classified as electrical equipment subject to recollection since last year, and tries to get answer to question if the collective systems should ensure a smooth disposal. Biggest wave of disposal photovoltaic's panels is expected in the next 15 -- 20 years. Operators and manufacturers have a statutory obligation to pay a fee, for every kilogram of photovoltaic's panels. The question under consideration is the check of the collective systems setting and also, comparative analysis of collective systems which are dealing with disposal of photovoltaic's panels and other electrical equipment. Furthermore, the survey conducted and processed according to the conclusions of the various groups (collective systems operators, operators of PV plants, lawmakers, and public) and also, the analysis of systems is presented.

Potential development of small solar power plants in the terms for ending state aid
Bartošová, Michaela ; Louda, Jiří (advisor) ; Hladík, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to assess the development potential of small solar power plants under the condition of the zero state aid. Work introduces the topic of the development of solar energy in the Czech Republic and the related theory of regulation and the legislative framework of the European Union and the Czech Republic in relation to renewable energy. The case study analyses in detail various aspects of investments in small solar power plants in addition to the analysis of significant legislative changes backed by three scenarios in the area of solar energy. The last part of the study discusses the development potential of investments in solar power plants for zero state aid, based on the assumption that these investments will only be in process in order to meet the electricity consumption needs of the owners.
