Parametrizable Music Instrument for Mobile Platforms
Řezáč, Martin ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create an application, which will be primarily used as three-axis parametrizable musical instrument, respectively a modifi ed MIDI controller, suitable for Android devices. Firstly, several products, which are available on the market, are reviewed and the reader is introduced to the problematics of audio synthesis, available technologies and typical Android device potential. The next chapter is dedicated to application design. Few designs are mentioned with focus on the chosen design concept. A part of this chapter is also a speci cation of the original concept, its implementation and advantages/disadvantages. The next part is dedicated to implementation and optiomalization of some of the critical points. Also the tests are evaluated including a survey about application usability. At the end, the whole work is concluded and the further development is outlined.
Radical Experience and Thinking of Poetic Inspiration. The Body (without Organs) in Maurice Blanchot's Space of Literature.
Poch, Martin ; Ševčík, Miloš (advisor) ; Jarošová, Helena (referee)
Radical Thinking and Experience of Poetic Inspiration → Abstract Blanchot's radical thinking of writer's experience poses, but do not answer a question of its physical dimension. According to Blanchot, it seems as if the writer's experience was completely unbodied, so that it excludes the possibility of writing and realization of essential speech in the world. Our interpretation of Blanchot's key concepts proceeds with an attempt to solve this problem and present its main consequences. In the last section we operate some of the terms of Deleuze and Guattari - namely becoming, the body without organs - in order to conceive writer's experience as inherently differentiated process in which the body is absent, because - deprived of its organs - it becomes an imperceptible part of assemblage which enters the space of literature.
Generator of Harmonic Sounds and Chords
Bednář, Jan ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
Major aim of this bachelor’s thesis is creation of VST plug-in module, that is able to generate sound for more tones in the same time. This thesis describes a brief theory of music acoustics which aims to show basic relations between tones, their higher harmonics and impact on the sound color. The function of temperament system of tuning, relations between intervals and way of making chords is described. Next things mentioned in this thesis are basics of VST technology, how to programme with VST SDK and basic MIDI messages for implementation in VST plug-in.
Real-Time Analysis of Audio Signals
Řezáč, Martin ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is creation an application, which can perform real-time fundamental frequency tracking of incoming audio samples. According to detected frequencies, the program generates MIDI messages, which are sent to chosen MIDI device. First, the reader is introduced to the issue of fundamental frequency tracking. The following part describes individual methods, especially the one based on spectral analysis of a tone. A description of used technologies is also a included in this part of this thesis. In the following part, the implementation and testing of application are described including opinions of several musicians about this product. At the end, the whole work is concluded and the possible further development is outlined.
Pure tone audiometry
Maršálková, Leona ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The presented master’s thesis deals with the acoustics, specifically with the selected characteristics of the sound. It focuses on the anatomy of the auditory system and its function. The work describes the testing approaches for an evaluation of the auditory organ function and introduces modern methods used for the hearing tests, especially pure tone audiometry. A part of the thesis is dedicated to a concept of an audiometer for pure tone audiometry, which is presented in a detailed block diagram along with a description of its working components. Included chapters describe the partial circuits of the audiometer supplemented by the calcuations of its individual elements. The concluding part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of the device’s functionality.
Testing of room acoustics
Toufarová, Tereza ; Špalek, Karel (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper presents parameters of evaluation of acoustic quality of the space. It is divided into parts presenting physical principle of the origin and movement of the acoustic signal, principles of its processing with current technology and properties of the acoustic field. This is followed by an analysis of the musical part and notes on psychoacoustics. The document contains a description of relevant parameters of acoustic spaces and way in which we can reach desired results, including material analysis. The paper mainly focuses on description of relevant parameters of three acoustic spaces which were measured. The last part of the work is a program for elementary acoustical measurement, which can be provided by means of commonly accessible equipment such as a notebook or a personal computer.
Pure tone audiometer
Blahák, Petr ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
Human hearing is to collect information from the outside world and is one of the basic human senses. Part of this thesis is devoted to acoustics, properties of the human ear in terms of perception of sounds and methods, which human ears are investigating. Audiometer is an instrument which is most often used in healthcare. The main content of this thesis is to design pure tone audiometer, which is important for the subjective tests of human hearing non-invasive method.
Acoustic generator for evoked potentials stimulation
Škutková, Helena ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
Evoked potentials are electric brain response to external stimulus. They are important diagnostic no visual method in neurology. For their excitation use of different of kinds stimulation, most often: visual, auditory, somatosenzory, olfactory and gustatory. Evoked potentials are objective method for measurement sense perception. This master’s thesis is specialized to auditory evoked potentials and design acoustic generator for their stimulation. Auditory evoked potentials are primary used for objective audiometry, but they have another usage. In the first place, application is specialized on health sector. The aim of this master’s thesis is compact specified medical requirements with available technical resources.
Analysis methods for displaying terrain relief
ČERNÍKOVÁ, Kristýna
The goal of this thesis is to describe the methods of visualization of the terrain relief, ranging from historical ways to current means, which employ software devices. It´s also to gather all available charts for the selected locality and perform an analysis of development of visualization of the terrain relief, which will be based on the collected data. Another goal was to compare the accuracy of the height scripts with the help of designed longitudinal profiles from obtained height script plans, the derived. State map in the scope of 1: 5000 and various map sources. Last at not least to explain the process of creation of the digital terrain model in ArcGIS software ? program.
