The subject of this thesis "The development of international retail companies in the Czech republic and its economic aspects" is a comprehensive evaluation of the operation of international food retail companies focused on supplier-customer relationships. The dissertation is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the origin and characteristics of modern retail chains and instruments of analysis assess the competitive forces in the industry. The second part is devoted to the parameters of business conduct and analysis of the allocation of economic surplus in favor of the retailer. The third part is devoted to the role of prices in the retail, including price wars and its impact on suppliers and consumers

This thesis is devoted to retail in Kazakhstan. Main objective of this work is to make an overview of retail market in republic of Kazakhstan and analyze its specifics, history and current situation. Also, thesis includes description of shopping centers market in Kazakhstan and prediction of future trends in retail in context of entrance into Custom Union with Russia and Belorussia.
The purpose of private labels

The main aim of my graduation thesis is to analyse current situation of private labels in the czech market and to propose possible improvements. In the theoretical part I introduce labels in general, historical facts and modern trends. Then I concentrate on private labels and explain their meaning. In the methodical part I start with analyzing a supply of retail chains in the czech market and then I focus on a private label policy of a particular retail chain. Subsequently I present results of two researches and suggest enhancement for retail chains to improve their strategies for the future.
Development of shopping possibilities in Litomysl and its surrounding

This bachelor thesis deals with mapping of the retail network in Litomysl and its surrounding. The aim is to evaluate local shopping possibilities and to compare types of retail units (there are supermarkets, discount store and hypermarket located in Česká Třebová). The first part is theoretical and defines the trade in general terms. The second part describes types of retail units. The third part characterises Litomysl trough the basic economic data and it portrays an image of its area, location, salaries and unemployment rate. The next part processes the data about the shops in Litomysl, which were collected in my own survey. The last chapter evaluates the development of the local shops as well as changes that have happened.
Marketing of retail chains

This bachelors thesis deals with marketing of selected retail chains. The first part is a theoretical view on business marketing. The second part focuses on the Czech retail chains, their current status, and a forecast of future development is also included. The bachelors thesis also includes a research that is made in Roudnice nad Labem based on a questionnaire created by me. The main objectives are to determine how customers evaluate the local chain stores and what are the criteria of those customers for choosing a store.

The goal of this bachelor work is to compare selected supermarket chains in Czech Republic from the given perspective. The main pursuit of this work is to set pros and cons of each chain and to compare their action and influence on the czech market. It focuses on the history and the progress of retail chains from the WWI until present. Then this work distinguishes these four chains, Tesco, Kaufland, Billa and ESO MARKET and in the last part it tries to compare four concrete branch stores of these companies.
Financial corporate benchmarking of selected retail chains in the Czech Republic

This thesis contains a financial analysis and corporate benchmarking of key retail chains operating in the Czech Republic. The thesis evaluates nine companies in the years 2000 -- 2006 in the view of their sales, profitability, assets and liabilities, liquidity and inventory turnover. The financial analysis was done not only for the subjected companies, but also according to the store type that is characteristic for them.
The cusotmer's selection criterions of a retail chain

The survey was made amongst respondents in the district of Tabor on the basis of a questionnaire made by me. The results were compared with a nationwide survey research.

Except of introduction and close, it has four main parts - retail, usage of quantitative methods in retail, trends and future of retail chains. The main emphasis is placed on estimation of strategies of these retailers. The results of the estimation are extract from financial analyze, DEA - Data Envelopment Analysis and outcomes from market researches. For the elaboration there were used lots of information sources mainly from internet.
