Práce se zabývá moderními metodami v maloobchodu. Zejména je zaměřena na průnik klasických analytických metod, které jsou zastoupeny finanční analýzou a na straně druhé je aplikován modelový přístup, konkrétně DEA modely. Práce je členěna do čtyřech relativně samostatných kapitol, kromě úvodu, závěru, literatury a přílohové části. První kapitola se zabývá výzkumnou činnosti v obecné rovině, druhá kapitola je věnována charakteristice a vývoji retailu v České republice. Obsahem třetí kapitoly je využití kvantitativních metod maloobchodu a čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena na trendy a budoucnost retailingových řetězců. This thesis is focused on new trends in business of chosen czech retail chains. Except of introduction and close, it has four main parts - retail, usage of quantitative methods in retail, trends and future of retail chains. The main emphasis is placed on estimation of strategies of these retailers. The results of the estimation are extract from financial analyze, DEA - Data Envelopment Analysis and outcomes from market researches. For the elaboration there were used lots of information sources mainly from internet.
