Sustainable procurement

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate sustainable procurement practices of companies in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided in two parts. The first part focuses on theoretical background of sustainable procurement and its implementation in the company. The second part of the thesis elaborates on implementations of the theory outlined in the first part. Based on a survey, the author analyses sustainable procurement practices of large companies in the Czech Republic.
The use of electronic reverse auctions in the construction industry in Slovakia

This thesis is focused on analysis of the use of electronic reverse auctions in the construction industry in Slovakia. The theoretical part provides the basic concepts, types and participants of electronic auctions. There are also analysed in detail the electronic reverse auctions as an important tool for procurement processes in the construction industry. The practical part deals with the analysis and subsequent recommendation for the construction sector - through a questionnaire survey.

Purpose of this thesis is to create strategies based on market analyses for optimized inventory management in area of small batch production and enforce meaning of the supply chain marketing within KLM company. This thesis providing ABC analysis, new system developed for efficient identification of the parts and suppliers. Based on these analyses new quotation system for spare parts management has been proposed.
Purchasing process of Intruder Alarm System from abroad

This thesis analyses the purchasing process of a specific product from abroad. This thesis is focused on the specifics of intruder alarm system. The theoretical part is focused on describing the standard purchase and purchasing process. The practical part applies the standard purchase process on the purchase of intruder alarm system from abroad. Then the differences compared to standard purchase process and the risks are analyzed. Thanks to the aforementioned analysis, it is possible to define an ideal purchase process for this specific type of product.
Development of MBI model in the implementation and management of electronic purchasing systems

This thesis covers an area of procurement of companies. It's specifically orientated on supporting the procurement processes by electronic purchasing system. In the first part there are by literature search, identified and analyzed key factors for successful realization of the implementation and management of electronic purchasing system. In the second part there is comparison of the case study in Unipetrol Services s.r.o. and the key factors of the first part, which is resulting in a deduction and generalization of best practices for implementation and management of electronic purchasing systems. The main benefit and also the outcome of this work is an extension of the reference model MBI, based on a facts and practical experience in procurement area.
Supplier evaluation system of the wood processing enterprise in the region of the CZ, SK, HU and AT

The Bachelor thesis Supplier evaluation system of the wood processing enterprise in the region of the CR, the SK, HU and AT deals with the analysis of the current supplier evaluation system in IKEA Industry company in Malacky. The theoretical part is based on literature review and contains a description of the purchasing process and methodology for selection and evaluation of suppliers. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of the Supplier Classification in IKEA. The main output of the thesis is the improvement of the new system, mainly in terms of criteria and specific adjustments for IKEA Industry. The evaluation system will be used in practice in near future.
Optimization of purchasing process at UPC

These touls should lead to optimize the whole purchasing process of the company. The thesis included performance of methods and techniques to successfully management of selected activities in the organization and contains the description of all the current purchasing process.
Supplier resource management by using SAP SRM

This diploma thesis is concerned with the issue of supplier resource management by using SAP SRM information system. Main goal is the adjudication if it is important to spend company's resources for optimization of shopping proces and if there exists some return of these resources. All at once this thesis is showing principles, SAP SRM's functions including benefits gained by the implementation and the system using. The practical part analyses the shopping process in ABB Group. Author compares a foregoing solution for an indirect spend management with SAP SRM solution. There was a necessary need to adjust company's processes when the new solution, that was implemented. These changes are modeled later on in this thesis and compared with each other. Added advantages achieved upon the foregoing solution are described as well.
