The reconstruction of the cultural Hall in Czernowitz

In this diploma thesis I deal with the reconstruction of the cultural house in Czernowitz which is a town located in the Highlands. This existing object was built in the 40s of the 20th century served as Sokol which is currently used as a cultural center in the town. The building has two aboveground floors and it is partly basement. The operation of the cultural house is divided into three functional sections. Hall with relevant rooms, where are held short-term events such as balls, concerts, lectures, etc. Next there is the beer hall with the opening hours which are independent of the operation of other sections. Finally, there are 3 rooms in the building for the purpose of local interest organizations and clubs.

Analysis of The current ERP market products

The work is concerning with actual trends in a course of ERP products. It follows fundamental characteristics important for development of the company, which is implementing new IS; my work is also trying to help differently-sized companies to choose the right software solution. It contributes to an explanation of possible complications during or after the implementation of a system. It is pointedly concentrating on the real impact of the whole project on a company's atmosphere and employees; and is trying to remove unrealistic expectations resulting from the new ERP system. It investigates dissimilarities between the Czech and the World market at a field of whole-company information systems, whereas it mainly focuses on the Czech user. On the basis of several surveys and studies it compares the expected impact with the real impact, resulting from implementation of current ERP systems. The influence of global changes in a world economy on IT products is analyzed as well. At the close of my work appears characteristics of the latest approaches to questions of company's information systems, namely ERP in form of Software as a Service (SaaS).

History, Don?t Make Me Angry! or How to Use a Museum for History Instruction

Tématem této práce je využití muzea při výuce dějepisu se zaměřením na Muzeum v Benátkách nad Jizerou, pobočku Muzea Mladoboleslavska v Mladé Boleslavi, které nabízí expozice o dějinách a velkých osobnostech regionu. Náměty z regionální historie jsou v osnovách dějepisu pro základní školy doporučovány k zařazení do výuky, ale díky rozsahu látky českých a obecných dějin na ně učitelé v hodinách nemají čas. Větší prostor pro jejich uplatnění snad přinese zavedení Rámcového vzdělávacího programu. Více než časová dotace hodin dějepisu, je problémem to, že regionální historie nebývá zpracovaná do formy použitelné ve škole. V případě Benátek nad Jizerou sice existuje literatura k jejich historii, pro výuku konkrétních dějinných událostí regionu je však buď příliš zběžná nebo příliš odborná. I populárně naučná literatura je úzce specializovaná (např. archeologie Keltů) a zabývá se zpravidla velkým územním celkem (např. celé Pojizeří). Nej zajímavější informace jsou roztroušeny v regionálních časopisech a nezpracované v archivu v Mladé Boleslavi. Za takových podmínek je pro učitele opravdu těžké nastudovat a zařadit do výuky regionální historii. Ani zaměstnanci muzea, kteří mají k dispozici jak písemné, tak hmotné prameny, nemají v rámci svých pracovních povinností možnosti studovat vzdělávací programy a zabývat se...

Key moments in the life of Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1960's and their reflection in contemporary Czech Slovak media

The bachelor thesis is about the portrayal of four key moments in the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. in contemporary Czechoslovak media in the 1960's. We picked three main contemporary dailies: Rudé právo, Svobodné slovo and Mladá fronta. We analyzed the following events: the march on Washington on August 28th, 1963, the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates on October 14th, 1964 and the ceremony on December 11th, 1964, the so-called Bloody Sunday on March 7th, 1965 and the following march on March 21st, 1965 and the assassination on Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4th, 1968. The analysis includes texts that were published one week before the event and two weeks after it. With this interval, it is possible to cover the main texts about the event and consequential events. The thesis compares the objective portrait made by contemporary and present history sources and the contemporary media portrait by analyzing the language means and resources. The aim of the thesis was to determine the difference caused by the regime control over media contents and the limitations of information resources.

Great Depression in thirties of 20th century and its consequences for Czechoslovakia

My thesis deals with the Great Depression on the 1930's, which was one of the biggest economic disasters of last century. It follows especially the course and consequences of the crisis in Czechoslovakia. There are still many questions about this event and economists of whole world have never agreed on the only explanation, which could describe and solve all the causes and circumstances of Great Depression. In addition, there are also many views that the crisis had influence not only in economic sphere, but also had the social and political impacts. First part deals with international connections of Great Depression and searches causations of crisis in economic theory and describes the birth of Great Depression in United States. Second and third parts analyze the beginning and running of the crisis in Czechoslovakia and deal with particular sections of economy. The fourth part summaries economic and political effects of the crisis in Czechoslovakia and shows how the country faced up to depression.

International impact of unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo

My goal was to attempt to analyze impact of Kosovo crisis on international relations. Kosovo issue and its solutions have shaped two important principles of international relations in the last decade, which by repeating tend to become precedents. The first principle is humanitarian intervention without the mandate of UN, which was first applied in Yugoslavia in 1999. Similar action was applied in several different states during the last decade. Second principle, which is the main subject of my thesis, is unilateral declaration of independence which was recognized by more sovereign states then in previous occasions. By analysis of events in Georgia I tried to prove that separatism could become an instrument of international relations in future. Authority of UN is shaken in last decade and it could lead to reshaping of world order. Single-sided interpretation of morality and principles can replace international law. Apart from analyzing global impact of Kosovo crises I have tried to explore the problem in detail by researching the causes that let to conflict. Most of the attention I have devoted to period between 1974 and 1999, which I find crucial in the forming a situation that led to unilateral declaration in 2008. Bankové krízy vo svete, ich detekcia, priebeh a rozbor príčin

Cieľom teoretickej časti práce bolo vymedzenie pojmu ?banková kríza?, rozbor príčin, následkov a nákladov týchto nepriaznivých udalostí a analýza nástrojov a opatrení, ktoré sa používajú k riešeniu krízy. Posledná časť rozoberá prípadovú štúdiu - bankovú krízu v Japonsku v rokoch 1992-1998 a ilustruje poznatky teoretickej časti. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je analýza ex-post bankovej krízy, odhalenie dôsledkov a ponaučení, ktoré nám priniesla. Banková kríza s nepriehliadnuteľnými negatívnymi dopadmi dáva za príklad, že sila ekonomiky neznamená finančnú stabilitu a nezraniteľnosť bankového sektoru a že príčiny kríz nemožno vzájomne oddelovať, pretože vo väčšine prípadov sa prelínajú a spoločne vplývajú na narušovanie bankového sektoru a vyvolávajú krízu.

The Role of the Holy See in International Political Relations After the Second World War

Nejen v běžné publicistice a literatuře, ale často i v odborných statích se setkáváme s jistým hodnocením protagonistů světové politiky. Měřítka, podle kterých se síla toho či onoho subjektu určuje, podle mého názoru, nezabírají často celou škálu faktorů, podle kterých by se z mého pohledu měla míra vlivu na světové dění posuzovat. Není jistě sporu ani pochyb, že vedle bohatství nerostného, teritoriální rozlohy, velikosti armády, síly ekonomiky, je také hledisko duchovní. Moderní výklady dějin se ale více soustředí na neduchovní rozměr toho, čím je kormidlo dějin ovlivňováno. Nicméně stojí minimálně za širší zamyšlení, je-li tomu opravdu tak. Úloha Svatého stolce jako politického hráče byla v posledních desetiletích podceňována. Avšak pováleční papežové, především Jan XXIII. a Jan Pavel II., díky své autoritě, vrátili Svatý stolec zpět mezi důležité politické hráče. Apoštolská stolice však nemůže si do budoucna nemůže automaticky mezinárodní vliv nárokovat. Záleží především na jejím hlavním představiteli, jakým způsobem se svým postavením naloží a jaké ambice zasahovat do mezinárodních událostí bude mít.
