Design of a Sigma Delta AD converter for sensor applications
Pěček, Lukáš ; Prokop, Roman (referee) ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a sigma delta AD converter for a sensor application of junction temperature measurement in the automotive environment. A modified continuous time current mode modulator structure was designed. Its advantage lies in shifting and extending an input voltage range to work with signals from 0 V to 1,2 with a high impedance input and a relatively low hardware complexity. The functionality was verified by a behavioral model in the Simulink environment and then by transistor level simulation in CADENCE environment using ONC18/I4T technology.
Demonstration set for basic keying techniques
Žlebek, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis concerns itself with construction of a set of laboratory products, used for demonstrating the basic methods of digital modulation. The primary product, is a generator of carrier and keying signals, which generates cyclically repeated data, and a carrier signal. Another two products are ASK and BPSK modulators. The theoretical part of this thesis describes a basic summary of different kinds of modulation and the design of all the product prototypes themselves. The practical part proves the functionality of individual components of the generator and the functionality of the modulators. In the last part of this thesis, there is a proposal of the laboratory task and its sample solution.
Cooperation of telecommunication and information transmission systems
Novák, Daniel ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Some telecommunication systems are theoretically analyzed in this thesis. Basic types of digital modulations are also analyzed here and applying them to practice. In the implementation part of the thesis are realized three laboratory tasks addressing to modulations issue, coding and data transfer in the SONET network. Tasks are simulated by EMONA TutorTIMS. software. In appendix are described functions and parameters of used modules.
Network with capacitor microphone using FM modulation
Lapáček, Petr ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Káňa, Ladislav (advisor)
In bachelor's thesis I was interested in quality of the electrostatic transducer. I have described a theoretic pieces of knowledges in parts of FM modulations and the variables crystals oscillators. I have tried to propose a conception of the condenser mikrophone in the high-frequency circuit where one of the main part was the crystal oscillator, which part was the capacitor transducer, in capacity element representative uncertain capacities. By this way I have tried to create the modulator, whose modulation depend on the actual changes of capacities in the electrostatic changers. Finally I have interested in the demodulation in this way of creating the HF signal by the help of detection unit TDA7000 and likewise setup of integrated circuit.
Modulator and demodulator for microwave link
Martinec, Matěj ; Frydrych, Jiří (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design of intermediate part of transmitter and reciever that use digital BPSK and QPSK modulations for microwave link that works in 24 – 26 GHz bands. Besides choosing the suitable modulator and demodulator there was need to provide proper connection of this part with transceiver Nortel CTR26-01M. Input and output of this intermediate part was take out to baseband, where was need to ensure the transfer of diferential inputs of modulator and demodulator to symetric leading for reason of data communication with PC, for which was created the algorithms to provide transmitting and receiving data. Complete structure controlled by the microcontroller has been enliven and furthemore there was created the measurement of chosen parameteres.
Design of switching stereo audio power amplifier
Konečný, Jiří ; Papica, Petr (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This text analyzes characteristics of audio power amplifiers in class D. The emphasis is placed on more detailed analysis of modulators, drivers, connection topology of power transistors. In the next section of text are analyzed available integrated circuits of power amplifiers in class D which are manufactured by world producers. The last part describes design of all parts of amplifier in class D with discrete components and also of power supplies. According to the plans, the individual parts are made. All parts are tested by measurements and results are evaluated.
Spread-spectrum Communication System
Machala, Pavel ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
The thesis focuses on issues around communication system with the Direct Spread Spectrum Signal Signal. This work outlines the theoretical analysis of this technique and subsequently is created a communication system concept. The device concept is adjusted so that the device can be used as a laboratory device, presenting the spreading technique. This thesis offers a comprehensive and detailed description of the communication system construction, including design of transmitter, receiver and a common transmission channel. In conclusion are stated the results of devised communication system.
Class D audio amplifier for active loudspeakers
Cupák, Jan ; Punčochář, Josef (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design of D class audio final amplifier, which was output power 400 W for 4 ? load impedance. Designed audio amplifier is specifical for active speaker, which consists of satelite speakers and subwoofer. Further more it deals also with other functional blocks, e.g. balanced input preamplifier, active crossover and protection for safety running. Outcome of this work are schemes of each functional blocks of D class audio amplifier, whose functionality was verified by simulation. Thesis also contains full reference material including mechanical arrangement of functional blocks on printed connection board. The conclusion contains the measured parameters of function blocks of produced prototype and complete photographic documentation.
Modulated signal generator
Melša, Ondřej ; Poměnka, Petr (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This project occupies with the creation modulated signal generator in MATLAB. There are explicit basic princips of modulation PSK, M-QAM, princip of system with spread spektrum and princip of access OFDM and MC-CDMA. Next there are explicit basic parametres and possibilities configuration of conversion analog PCI card CompuGen 4302, which serves as D/A convertor of signals created by PC.
QAM Modulator
Duffek, Luděk ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
The thesis focuses on consideration of possible ways how to realize multi-state modulators for a laboratory instrument. This instrument will illustrate signals, which partake on generation QAM modulation. The design of the laboratory instrument includes theoretic schemata and the execution of a prototype. There are theoretical facts of multi-state signals and multi-state modulations in this thesis. A simple block diagram of the laboratory instrument is made by the theory of creating quadrature amplitude modulation. For each block there are made several schemata, which are compiled to the global scheme. A printed circuit board and the structure items are made by the aid of the global scheme. The next part is devoted to a software facility for a used microprocessor, which ensures the whole function of the laboratory instrument. The final section deals with measuring, which checks the function of the modulator and the right setting coder’s constellation diagrams.
