Then using Generalizability theory and faktor analysis the reliability and internal structure of this instrument was examined. Results: Provides information about use of this instrument in assesing service quality of fitness centers in Czech republic . Proposes recommendations for further modification and use the questionnaire in the Czech environment. Key words: Service quality, Measurement of service quality, Generalizability theory, Factor analysis. This research was supported by the Grant agency of Charles University, project no. 267811 Measuring sport services quality in fitness industry
A system for monitoring the quality of connectivity
Vyskočil, Vladimír ; Peterka, Jiří (advisor) ; Děcký, Martin (referee)
The aim of the theses is to design a methodology for centralized monitoring of data traffic in an ISP network that would detect individual connection with connectivity problems, and evaluate these problems. The methodology should at least evaluate packet loss and latency between a centrally located monitoring point and endpoints at user premises. A further goal is to implement this methodology, test it and evaluate the results.
Simulation of Data Transmissions in Integrated Networks
Rozsypal, Pavel ; Endrle, Pavel (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The goal of this assignment was to analyze the issue of data transfer in integrated networks focusing on quality of service. The thesis describes the various network elements, their function, advantages and disadvantages. Attention was also paid to neural networks, with a focus on the analogy between biological neuron and the artificial neuron. Another part of paper was dedicated to the simulation possibilities of these network in MATLAB. To simulate the behavior of network elements was used OPNET IT Guru software.
Optimization of Network Activity by OMNET++
Rybníčková, Eva ; Novotný, Bohumil (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with OMNeT++, a simulation tool for network traffic simulations. It describes its installation, basic functions and its use together with an extension INET framework. Further it shows construction of a simple simulation, its parts and analysis of the traffic output. Briefly it explains Quality of Service, which is further practically implemented in visual simulations. The paper further contains two laboratory exercises with model protocols.
Quality of Service in Cellular Networks
Spiššák, Filip ; Mašek, Jan (referee) ; Krkoš, Radko (advisor)
This thesis deals with the quality of service (QoS) mechanism in Evolved Packet System (EPS). The basic architecture and characteristics of the EPS are introduced. The concept of QoS is defined. Furthermore, QoS related entities, their functions and corresponding procedures are described. The methodology for measuring and evaluating of end-to-end QoS as seen from a user’s point of view is designed. This methodology is used to measure QoS of experimental cellular network at UTKO FEEC BUT. Finally, configuration change for optimizing the QoS support of experimental cellular network is designed.
Fault recovery in data networks
Trávníček, Michal ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mácha, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of the bachelor’s thesis was to explain the basic principles and technologies for ensuring reliable and effective routing within networks when a link failure. This is with minimal effect to the quality of service. The focus was on mechanisms ensuring the quality of services within the network, especially differentiated services and the both groups of dynamic routing protocols – distance vectors and link state protocols. On the basis of obtained knowledge, the simulation has been designed in OPNET Modeler. It simulated routing of routing protocols RIP and OSPF of networks without any failure. The next simulations containted the link failure and the link recovery. Then the network with DiffServ was designed. It filtered data packets according to used ports and protocol and it added a label to packet with a priority for the certain service. The attention in the network was focused on the VoIP service and its parameters, such as jitter and end-to-end delay. It has also monitored the value of dropped traffic. It simulated the networks with the link failure and the link recovery. The results were compared to the network with no QoS and network with QoS but no failure.
Quality of Service Assurance in UMTS Network
Nesveda, Marek ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with the assurance of the quality of service (QoS) in UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) networks. It consists of theoretic and practical parts. The first, theoretic part first describes the quality of service assurance in general and then focuses on the area of the assurance of the quality of service (QoS) in UMTS network environment specifically. It describes the QoS concept in UMTS, typical UMTS network architecture, its components as well as various QoS classes defined in UMTS. It explains parameters that define the quality of service in UMTS network, and describes call set-up for the purposes of transmission between end users. The second, practical part of the bachelor´s thesis describes how to configure a complex UMTS network simulation model in OPNET Modeler, ver..14.5. It gives a detailed description of how to configure each network component and how to set its parameters, in two different scenarios: first including and then excluding QoS. In conclusion, the thesis summarises the results of the simulation in both scenarios, gives their explanations and compares them graphically.
Possibilities of simulation and optimization of queuing systems in MATLAB
Kakvic, Martin ; Leixner, Martin (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the possibilities of simulation and optimalization of ethernet networks in Matlab interface. Ethernet technology, quality of service and architecture of differentiated services are described in this thesis. Based on these facts, there was created a toolbox. This toolbox allows to create a dynamic network, which can be configured via using GUI. In the end of the thesis, there are shown results of the simulation of networks, which is running in created program.
Simulation and evaluation of scenarios running real-time UMTS services in Opnet Modeler environment
Klimeš, Roman ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System problems. It researches the parameters of influencing the UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network behaviour where is the Quality of Services support necessary. The aim of this master’s thesis is the simulation and evaluation of scenarios running real-time UMTS services in Opnet Modeler environment. In the first part is the short introduction to this technology problem. The requirements and the aims, the frequency plan, the network architecture and the Quality of Services support in UMTS are described. Creating the mobile network in the OPNET Modeler environment, configuration of the particular elements with the correct functionality and finally the parameters configuration for the Quality of Service at all workstations was the practical part of this work. At last phase was needed to compare the final statistics of the model without QoS support and the model with QoS support. I verified my knowledge in the OPNET Modeler program and the expected simulation results were confirmed. The final part of the thesis was creating the laboratory problem on the basis experience gained.
Integrated telecommunication environment
Tomeček, Jan ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The thesis described the proposal for a wireless network problems. There are recorded and compared the characteristics of different wireless technologies. The possibility of voice communication securing is outlined and solutions implemented in the form of ZRTP protocol. The requirements for quality of service are discussed and the solutions to this issue are proposed. Other chapters are devoted to the actual design of specific equipment, including antennas and advance resource. The whole network is practically implemented in the mountainous countryside of eastern Wallachia. In conclusion, this work is network mate in terms of QoS (quality of service) and tested in terms of prioritization of voice communication.
