Influence of mowing and mulching on vegetation development on dumps with translocated monoliths of meadowy soil

A translocation experiment was performed on a dump after coal-mining near Sokolov. The influence of mowing and mulching (twice annually) on vegetation development on the monoliths and control sites on the dump in close vicinity the monoliths was investigated, with particular attention to the effect on suppression expansive species Calamagrostis epigejos. The spread of the plant species from the monoliths to the dump sites was surveyed.
Utility verification of single cells of territorial systems of ecological stability in Sokolov basin area and sequence on surrounding countryside

Countryside is a dynamic system which has been constantly developing. A man may be a factor which speeds up, slows down or completely stops the development. Spoil bank in Podkrušnohoří is an illustration of the violation, where a shut-down of countryside development due to logging operations happened. The goal of every activity, which negatively modifies countryside, should be sequent reparation. In case of Podkrušnohoří spoil bank such a recultivation should be proposed and countryside items, which would increase ecological countryside stability and would help to awaken the countryside into its historical form, should be found.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT {--} A CASE STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF SAND MINING ON BIODIVERSITY OF SELECTED GROUPS OF ORGANISMS AND EVALUATION OF REVITALIZATION MEASURES

The effect of sand mining on model groups of organisms (vascluar plants, beetles, amphibians and birds) was studied in South Bohemia. The studies were made in the next biotopes by model area sand pit Roudná II southern from Planá nad Lužnicí: unforested area (after mining), forest (on recultivated plots and seminatural forest) and water biotopes (depressions after mining). The next characteristics of biodiversity were determined: the diversity of communites, the frequency of protected, rare and vulnerable species. The protected species occur mainly in amphibians and birds. The suitable recultivation measures were proposed on the base of biodiversity studies.
Tourism potential analysis of the Sokolov region

The aim of this work is to create a profound analysis of tourism potential of Sokolov region located in Western Bohemia, the region with long industrial history. There are described location and realization factors of tourism in this region with concrete examples, the current offer of tourism services is mentioned, new projects are brought to the attention and the success of the older ones is reviewed. The following part of this work is devoted to an introduction into theory of destination marketing and management with specification of its participants. The final part deals with investigation among local people, visitors and travel agencies which analysed their opinion of tourism potential of this destination. The main goal of this work is to show that in the future Sokolov region is supposed to be a very nice place to visit and spend some time on holiday.
Revitalization of Area Afflicted by Mining Shown on Ore Mountains Base Region Example

The thesis consists of several parts. The first one presents basic characteristics of the Usti Region emphasizing its weaknesses and strengths. Interregional and nationwide comparison is used for some indicators. The second part is devoted to mining as the industrial activity so typical for the Usti Region. Here, milestones of the region's mining history and the current operation of mining companies in the region are described, and major mining sites listed and briefly presented. The third part deals with explanation of the term of "restoration, existence of various forms of restoration, their financing or basic documents for them, and importance of post-mining revitalisation in the territory. The final part is devoted to application of revitalisation in the Usti Region. The objective of the thesis is to identify the overall economic cost for restoring the territory affected by mining in its maximum variant - complete exploitation of all the soft coal deposits occurring in the Usti Region territory.
Economic aspects of reclamation of brown coal quarry near the town Most

The master thesis deals with reclamation of brown coal quarries from different perspectives. It focuses on the various options of reclamation of quarries. It evaluates the economic benefits and costs, integration into the way of rehabilitation needs and the future use of this reclamation. It defines a way how to optimise the use of devastated land. This thesis is focused on the reclamation of region Most specifically on the brown coal quarry called Ležáky - Most. It considers if hydrologic variant of reclamation for the quarry is the best. It describes other possibilities of reclamation that have been considered. The master thesis introduces the reasons for the selection of the hydrologic reclamation. It reviews the complexity of the hydrologic reclamation of the quarry Ležáky -- Most, its effect on the environment, social sphere and the further societal use. The main objective is to analyze the total effectiveness of quarry Ležáky - Most, if the mining was profitable taking into account all its costs and revenues.
Business plan "MiniMost"

The thesis deals with drawing up the business plan for a newly planned tourism atractivity in Most -- miniature park of the old town of Most, "MiniMost". Its aim is to assess the economic independence of this atractivity, respectively its dependence on the financial support of the town of Most. For this purpose the demand analysis was carried out in form of questionnaire survey in the partner miniature park Klein-Erzgebirge in Saxony and professional excursion around the Most region with students of the University of Economics in Prague. The competition analysis is used to assess the future position of the miniature park MiniMost on the tourism market.
Land reclamation of extracted superficial mines - project of lake Medard

This bachelor thesis is trying to find the answer to the question whether the territorial ecological limits are the appropriate instrument of environment protection. The answer to this question is searched through the analysis of current legislation and by comparing the arguments of opponents and supporters of territorial ecological limits. One of the most important parts of a dispute concerning the future of territorial limits is the effectiveness of land reclamation of quarries after extraction. The effectiveness of reclamation is illustrated on the reclamation project Medard in Sokolovsko. On this project is shown the financial and administrative performance of projects and their contribution to the citizen ant a region.

It follows the legislation progress and the financial funding concerning this area, endowment policy and abroad approaches comparism. It is focused on distinct opinions relating to human caused environmental damage slicking. The operative part describes one of the largest middle Europe dump recultivation -- Radovesická dump.
Ways and opportunities of restoration human-harmed areas

Bachelor thesis under the name "ways and opportunities of restoration human-harmed areas" focuses on methods and types of restoration that can be used for the areas harmed by raw material extraction and mainly for the waste dumps restoration. Except the description of the methods and types of restoration activities the thesis summarizes technological procedures, processes and conditions that are fundamental for the particular types of restorations. In the practical part of the thesis is introduced waste dump in Radim -- its history, current status and plan of the restoration after the first fase is closed down. Last but not least the thesis informs about economical aspects of appropriate types of restoration -- it quantifies the restoration expenses depending on the type and methods used for the respect restoration project. It brings examples of many economical aspects that are advantageous mainly for municipality that can based on this fact realize extra investments for their citizens delight.
