Čižmáriková, Jitka ; Chylíková, Hana (advisor) ; Drozen, František (referee)
The purpose of this diploma theses is to demonstrate the comprehensive view on the "financial health" of T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s. through the financial analysis process between year 2003 and 2007 from the position of the external user. The theoretic part of this theses is focused on the brief history, definition and principle of the financial analysis, then on users of the financial analysis and information sources for its realization including the pointing out the limitation of predicative abilities of the accounting data. Understanding of the traditional but also new methods, which are applied within the financial analysis (including the methods of intercompany comparison), is another part of the theoretic definition of the financial analysis. The practical part of the theses deals with the characteristics of T-Mobile company and with processing of the strategic analysis, which put us closer to the outside and inside surroundings of the analysed firm. It is followed by processing of the financial analysis of T-Mobile company (including comparison with its competitors), comments and evaluation of findings and results (including their comparison, where it is possible, with standard (recommended) values or with the "branch average values") and by pointing out strenghts and weaknesses of operations of the analysed company.

Violencia and social issues in Colombian children's literature
González Espinosa, Lillyam Rosalba ; Housková, Anna (advisor) ; Poláková, Dora (referee) ; Lukavská, Eva (referee)
This dissertation focuses on a critical approach to Latin-American children's literature, its evolution and its particular issues. It is based on the analysis of Colombian realistic fiction for children and young adults. The aim of this work is to show how Colombian children's literature has established some particular features that make it distinguished in Latin-American children's literature. The methodology is based on literary studies along with specifications of children's literature theory in perspective with the Colombian political and social situation during the twentieth century. The dissertation adresses elements from literary analysis: The narratology (V. Propp, and G. Gennette) the literary criticism (M. Bakhtin, and the concept of ideology) plus cultural studies in Latin America (Á. Rama). The research takes theoretical concepts from children's literature, related to pedagogy (T. Colomer), aesthetics (M. Nikolajeva), ideology (P. Hollindale) and historiography of children's literature in Latin America: A. Rodriguez, 1993, 2010; M. Muñoz, 2009; B. Robledo 1997, 2012 & L. Borrero, 2001. The first part of this dissertation is an analytical approach to the concepts and characteristics of Latin-American children's literature, it focuses also on Colombian children's literature evolution...

An attempt to analyze the aphasic syndrom with regard to the possibilities of its neuropsychologica rehabilitation
Straka, Ondřej ; Šivicová, Gabriela (referee) ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor)
Although the Wernicke-Geschwind model has been for a long time one of the most influential bases for the study of aphasia. its general acceptance seems to have been partly undermined by the use of new imaging methods on the one hand. and recent developments in cognitive psychology and psycholinguistics on the other hand. The main reason is that it fails to account for the fact that the lesions in one brain area can result in a variety of deficits in the processing of language. and similarly the same deficit is often due to the impairment of ditlerent brain structures. This thesis ťirst presents the localizationalist theories. then compares both approaches pointing out their respective interests and limitations and tinally focuses at some length on the assumptions about the brain organization of language production postulated by the cognitive psychology and their reflection in the therapeutic procedures used in the neuropsychological rehabilitation of aphasic patients. Key words: aphasia, localization, cognitive psychology, neuropsychological rehabilitation Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Rules for analyzing anaphora in Czech
Nguy, Giang Linh ; Hajičová, Eva (referee) ; Hajič, Jan (advisor)
With the increasing importance of natural language processing there is growing number of research with the theme automatic anaphora resolution.. The contribution to the research on this problem is also this thesis. The aim of the work is to propose a set of rules for anaphora resolution in Czech. The created set of rules consists of handwritten rules as well as rules developped with the aid of machine learning system C4.5. For the rules training and testing were used anoted data from the Prague Dependency Treebank, in which following types of anaphora are captured: pronominal anaphora, control, reciprocity and dependency relation of adjuncts. Our work is focused on these types of anaphora. The evaluation of the rules is done with standard methods for interpretation of recall and precision.

Life/death analysis in Go (Analyzátor života skupiny v Go)
Kozelek, Tomáš ; Vomlelová, Marta (advisor) ; Hric, Jan (referee)
In this thesis I focused myself on problematics of solving life and death problems in the game of Go, which is one of fundamental skills of a Go playing program. Together with thesis, life and death solving program TGA was created. Program is built upon basic space search algorithms from the game theory (e.g. alpha beta pruning, transposition tables) in combination with methods using knowledges about the game of Go (heuristics and pruning methods). For program purposes I created "block oriented" position representation, I implemented simpliffied static analysis of life and death of the group and I proposed a set of heuristic. These heuristics not only speed up search signifficantly, moreover they make it possible to solve di±cult problems of "under the stones" type. Program is designed to solve mostly enclosed problems and it is capable to treat di®erent life and death solving pecularities (e.g. different types of ko, seki, "bent four in the corner"). As for performance, I estimate program's strength in solving speciffied Go problems to be 1 dan. This is comparable with a strong human player.

Investigation for infectious markers of blood donors in Blood Establishment Hospital Č.B. a.s.
PÍCHOVÁ, Jana
The theme of the bachelor thesis is ?Infectious Disease Marker Testing of Blood Donors?. According legal rules, donated blood is tested for infectious agents of AIDS, syphilis and HBV, HCV. The risk of transmission of such diseases has been decreased in recent decades nevertheless it is still a threat to transfusion medicine. At the Transfusion Department of the České Budějovice Hospital, Inc., the samples of blood donors are tested in the Blood Donors Analytics Laboratory. At present, all the tests are performed on a single instrument Abbott Architect. Before testing on the Architect analyzer, viral markers were tested on the Abbott AxSYM instrument, while syphilis was tested via TP-PA method using a diagnostic kit by Serodia. The objective of the bachelor thesis is to compare the current testing systems with the previous ones, describe individual testing methods, count the numbers of reactive results and compare results of its confirmation tests, find out the frequency of reactive and positive results in new blood donors, verify results of the second confirmation of control samples. The thesis informs about basic criteria to select blood donors, individual infectious markers which cover the infectious diseases, in which a prolonged presence of the agents in blood occurs, and thus the transmission of the infection is possible. Further, the principles of methods used by the AxSYM analyzer, the Architect analyzer and Serodia TP-PA diagnostic kit are described. The samples showing the reactive results are sent to the National Reference Laboratory to be retested. In the period from 1st January 2011 to 31st December 2011 17,262 blood donors were tested using the AxSYM analyzer to detect HIV, HBsAg and HCV infections. The same number of the tests was performed also by TP-PA method to diagnose syphilis. In the period from 1st February 2012 to 31st January 2013, 18,346 of blood donor samples were tested to detect HIV, HBV, HCV and syphilis. 57 samples from the total number of tests performed on the AxSYM analyzer and TP-PA diagnostic kit were reactive in the year 2011. With the installation of the Architect analyzer the numbers of reactive samples increased more than twice, namely to 121 reactive samples. The largest increase in reactivity is evident in case of syphilis diagnostics. It was the similar with anti-HCV method. In both cases, the methods for antibodies detection are involved, and so it can be taken into account the interference with other non-specific antibodies. In the period of testing by TP-PA method on the AxSYM system, 20 reactive control samples, 10 reactive first time blood donors samples and 27 reactive regular donors samples were detected. After the changeover to Architect system, the numbers of reactive samples were increased unexpectedly in regular donors the most, namely up to 88 samples within the monitored period unlike 8 reactive samples in first time donors or 25 reactive control samples. In most cases, the confirmation test results of control samples are negative regardless the type of analyzer used for screening tests showing reactive results. The largest number of unclear results from the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) was observed with anti-HCV method. The NRL confirmed altogether 5 positive results for the monitored infection diseases, from which 4 were in new donors. This finding confirms the assumption that the first time donors are a risk group while with the regular blood donation the safety of blood transfusion is increasing. Based on all observed parameters the both analyzers can be regard as the safe systems for blood donors testing showing the sufficient specificity. The AxSYM analyzer was replaced by the newer Architect analyzer because of upgrading the machine equipment primarily. The chemiluminiscent test technology is preferred because of its high sensitivity, simplicity and reliability.

Intercultural Communicative Competence ICC Development in Student Teachers of English Language Abstract: The aim of this dissertation is to assess the development of intercultural communicative competence in student teachers of English language within a study subject Intercultural Communicative Competence taught at the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Pardubice. Firstly, the terminology to be used throughout the text is defined. Consequently, relevant theoretical foundations are introduced, especially philosophical foundations as well as foundations in linguistics and foreign language didactics. These indicate the position from which we approach the discussed phenomenon, i.e. interculturality that in the current globalized world poses new demands not only on pedagogical practice, but on research too. In the subsequent part of the dissertation focus lies on intercultural education, the key aim of which is defined as development of intercultural communicative competence. Current trends in intercultural education are discussed with accent on the specifics of English language teaching and learning. The core of the theoretical part of this work aims to conceptualize the construct of intercultural communicative competence and to elaborate on its consequent didactic aspects, i.e. its...

Options to expand production on small family farms
Brabcová, Michaela ; Malý, Michal (advisor) ; Kateřina, Kateřina (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the financial analysis of "Bláhův dvůr". It is a small starting young farm in the Central Bohemian Region. In the first part, I analyzed the financial analysis using financial ratios such as rate of return, liquidity, asset and debt. To determine whether a company is a profitable one, I have made the financial analysis using status indicators which are following: Altman's Z score, indices of credibility, Taffler's z-score and Quick test by Kralicek. At the end of this analysis the Cash flow is provided. The next part of my diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the current market position of the farm using the external economic indicators such as the analysis PEST and Porter´s five forces model. After completing all the above mentioned analyses, all risks and divergences in agricultural commodities were evaluated through price trends. Using all the information, economically recoverable and revenue possibilities for future development were suggested. The main purpose of this thesis is the SWOT analysis, where I have mentioned weaknesses and threats, which will be eliminated and minimalized through business opportunities and business strengths.
