Multimedia support of the course BSIS
Pasečný, Jan ; Šebesta, Vladimír (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper takes aim at creating a consistent form of study materials, supplemented with illustrative examples, for Signals and systems subject. The thesis starts with basic characteristics of acoustic, image, biological and communication signals. Characteristics of linear signals and AD&DA conversion has been added to the next part and to complete the submission, discrete signals follow. Diploma thesis as a whole contains basic theoretical description of problematics, which it tries to supplement with interesting examples, connections, graphs and matlab scripts for illustrative presentation of mentioned problematics.
Spread spectrum modulator
Lejsková, Alena ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with a method of spectrum-spreading of the data signals transmitted in the radio channel. There exist three different ways of spreading application, they uses pseudorandom sequences and also orthogonal sequences. In these systems we can find various kinds of modulations, one of them (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) is shown at the end of the thesis. Spectrum spreading orthogonal multiplex OFDM is based on this method. The thesis wants to present the principle of the spectrum spreading method and the description of systems, transmitters and receivers that are using this method.
Modern coding of speech signals using overcomplete models
Zapletal, Ondřej ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The theoretical contents of this thesis are studies of overcomplete models. Those are the models of signals, on which is set for their parametrization more variables, than it's necessary and consequently there's computed so-called sparse solution via iteration algorithms. A goal of this analysis is a selection just of the considerable (sparse) parameters. The theory is based on a linear algebra, vector spaces, bases and so-called frames. The task of the individual project of this thesis is a description and simulation of two speech coders: a classical coder based on linear predictive speech coding and a coder, that's making use of overcomplete stochastic ARMA processes models. A part of their realization is to simulate their decoders and a analyze their reconstruction quality. For their realization there is used MATLAB and an overcomplete models' library (toolbox frames).
Design and implementation of LAN home network using PLC technology
Pataj, Jiří ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Mišurec, Jiří (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with possibilities of data communication on low voltage power lines, so-called PLC. This technology allows data transfer on power lines. According frequency band the PLC can be subdivide into narrowband or broadband class. Given are theoretical knowledge’s of data communication on power lines and describes technical solutions. Consequently is suggestion of LAN, which is accessible for commercial usage made by DS2 and his suitable for home use. The main acquisition is implementing and measuring this experimentally created LAN in family house. The results are real bitrates depending on distance and quality of specific connection.
Monitoring of GSM network
Trávníček, Tomáš ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on problems of monitoring GSM network using a mobile phone. Problems are analyzed on a theoretic basis with a description of available network parameters. Then the thesis offers a description of existing application environments providing a user with given data about the network. The main part of this work describes a development of application compiling queue data from mobile network and GPS, and creates output data illustrating signal strength in selected areas. The work also includes extensive measuring in select areas together with an evaluation of the processed data.
Analysis of UMTS signalling
Trojáček, Jaroslav ; Herman, Ivo (referee) ; Havelka, Dušan (advisor)
Master thesis is focused on signalling analysis of third-generation mobile network UMTS. In first part of master thesis is described a question of standard IMT-2000, introduces the principles of the WCDMA air interface, gives a wide overview of the UMTS system architecture and signal processing. In second part of master thesis is described a question of signalling analysis, including general protocol model for UTRAN terrestrial interfaces. This chapter is focused on elementary procedures, Radio Resource Management procedure examples, Mobility Management procedure examples and Call Control procedure examples in the first place. Last chapter of master thesis is focused on radio network planning of UMTS with practical location of basic station Node-B.
State of art of - processing signal data with NI LabVIEW
Lejska, Zdeněk ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Kovář, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on state of art of processing signal data with LabVIEW
Rotation Electric Actuator: parameter estimation and control
Palaj, Lukas ; Houfek, Lubomír (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design of printed circuit board in the first part. The board will be used for connecting rotation electric actuator (REA) to the card MF624. It is written about electronic throttle and it’s particular parts, it’s connection to the card and estimation of parameters necessary for composing a virtual model in Simulink in the second part. After that control for the model is designed.
Speed Increasing for Track Section Moravské Budějovice - Šumná
Vlachová, Dominika ; Komárek, Jan (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
This work deals with the possibility of increasing the speed of the track section of the Moravské Budějovice – Šumná. Speed increase is considered with the current geometric parameters of gauge, and then with the proposed changes to the geometric parameters of the track. The proposed changes, however, must not cause significant interference to the body lines. Furthermore, it is also taken into account speed limits in areas of railway level crossings, rolling fork, positions of signals, etc.
Speed Increasing for Track Section Křenovice - Nezamyslice
Bombera, Jan ; Kroupa, Jan (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with the possibility of increasing the line speed at Křenovice – Nezamyslice track number 315A. Speed increasing is tested in two steps – with current track geometry parameters and with changing some of the track geometry parameters, but always in order to meet regulatory and normative limit values. The new speed is determined for conventional vehicles and for vehicles that are able to take advantage of cant deficiency I > 100 mm. Speed limits in locations of railway crossings, signals position, etc., are taken into account for speed increasing. In some cases are proposed measures to change these objects.
