Moreover, it aims to analyze the above mentioned phenomena in the French textbook with approval clause textbooks: Amis et compagnie 1, Vite ! 1 and Le français entre nous 1 and draw attention to an insufficient integration of these occurrences in the contemporary teaching of the French language, as well as in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Title of the thesis: Developing pronunciation through musical activities in French lessons Keywords: communicative approach, phonetics, phonology, pronunciation, prosody, activity, music, rhythm, rhythmisation, melody, tempo, intonation, accent, song, rap, facial expressions Abstract: This thesis deals with the teaching of French phonetics, considers the status of phonetics in communicatively oriented teaching, and comes to the fact that the teaching of phonetics and phonology is not a priority in the communicative approach. The work demonstrates the importance of such teaching, and therefore explores how the teaching of pronunciation or some of its components could be made more attractive. Based on the proven relationship of music and language, both as auditory phenomena, this thesis approaches the interwoven elements of these two areas. The aim is to explore how the musical elements, such as: rhythm, melody, tempo, phrasing, etc., could be used in the teaching of French pronunciation - especially at the suprasegmental level. The work offers a basic inventory of exercises which benefit from this characteristic and which has been verified in practice, and in the final analysis summarises their effectiveness in foreign language teaching.
Complex aspects of communication - gestics and mimics

Title of the thesis: Complex aspects of communication - gestures and facial expressions Key words: Nonverbal communication, emotions, gestures, facial expressions, interpretation Abstract: The thesis focuses on the international comphrensibility of the complex aspects of communication, especially the nonverbal components. Of these nonverbal components we have pursued the gestures and facial expressions in particular. The domains of nonverbal communication are related, therefore the thesis mentions them as well. However our primary focus rests on the gestures and facial expressions. We researched through a questionnaire. The responders identified themselves and after that they were asked to identify and interpret facial expressions and gestures that we had chosen. The research indicates situations, when a communication is expressed only by the use of nonverbal means and may fail to convey the information. Furthermore, we looked into the possible advantages of knowledge of the nonverbal communication for teachers.
The expression of negation in Czech sign language

This bachelor thesis is the first material focused on the expression of negation in Czech sign language. It shows the most frequent mediums of manual and non-manual negation excerpted from the recording of natural communications between native deaf speakers, users of Czech sign language. This thesis also presents how to express negation in spoken languages and in some of the foreign sign languages.
Body as a source and a carrier of information and emotion

In my diploma thesis I will explore the body language of actors in detail and describe my own practical experience. Most of my experiences come from performance training, which I have gained whilst attending The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). In the first part I describe physical movement in the early days of theater. Then I focus on analysing the concepts of nonverbal communication and its usage on the stage. I explore various different performance spaces and analyze their influence on the subsequent differences in physical acting-expressionism. The aim of my thesis is to explain how we can use our bodies during the process of preparing for performance and what can affect it. The benefit of this approach is the subsequent self-reflection, which forced me to deeply develop the basic techniques of physical communication. To be specific, the physical movements which lead to the transmission of emotion, feelings and information to the viewer.
Facial expression and its role in teacher's communication with children in nursery school

Qualifying dissertation for the bachelor´s degree is dealing with the problematic of mimicry and its role on communication between teacher and children in kindergarten. In theoretical part basic terms of communication are defined and specific characteristic of nonverbal communication with a view to mimicry are summarized. In practical part data of quantitative research obtained by questionnaire and testing are presented.
The contemporary performer in mime theater

The thesis is based on analysis of graduation performence of Jindřiška Křivánková titled The hunters and on the basis of this analysis entitle principals of authorial theater and contemporary acting.
Visual expression of emotions and the work upon human

The main theme of this Bachelor's thesis are emotions. The goal is to clarify this concept, and then apply it to the context of fine art. The work is divided into part of the theoretical and practical. In the part dealing with the theories has to be clarified the relationship of emotions and colors, but mainly the display of emotion through visual art. Further emphasis is placed on the impact of the work on the viewer emotional page. This phenomenon is analysed in chronological order from the beginning of mankind until the present. The practical part includes a triptych of paintings focusing on the topic of emotions, the description of the painting process, including the inspiration of resources and subsequent consideration of their effects.
Nonverbal communication and its use in the organization

This thesis deals with the use of nonverbal communication in the organization. The aim is to assess the importance of nonverbal communication in employment relations in the organization, particularly at the time of recruitment and business meetings. The methodology of obtaining empirical information was based on descriptions of nonverbal communication by various authors in publications devoted to practice nonverbal communication. In this thesis was made a comparison of descriptions of different authors and were evaluated similarities and differences between them.
