Pavlatová, Jana ; Vohlídal, Jiří (advisor) ; Svoboda, Jan (referee)
Acylation of cyclohexene can provide number of reaction products. Cyclohexene, 1-methylcyclohexene and 3-methylcyclohexene were acylated with propionic anhydride over diferent zeolite structures and molecular sieves. Cyclohexene acylation led to propionylcyclohexene. The major acylation products of 1-methylcyclohexene is 2-methyl-3-propionylcyclohexene. Reaction product of 3-methylcyclohexene acylation is 4-methyl-3-propionylcyklohexene and 3-methyl-2-propionylcyclohexene. The aim of acylation biphenyl with carboxylic acid anhydrides and chlorides was to prove reaction with the highest conversion of substrate. The highest biphenyl conversion was obtained with octanoyl chloride and hexanoic anhydride over zeolite USY (15). The highest selectivity to 4-acylbiphenyl was observed.

The impact of speculators on the commodity markets
El-Moussawi, Chadi ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Derner, Tomáš (referee)
In the recent years, there has been growing talk of investing in commodities in the financial markets. In the past, the commodity markets served for purposes of the producers and the end-users of commodities. With gradual innovation of the financial markets in the 19th and 20th century the modern commodity markets evolved and became more standardized. This process was accompanied by the increasing interest of financial speculators. In contrast with the commercial participants, the goal of these new investors in the commodity markets is not to hedge against adverse changes in commodity prices but to profit on the price movements of commodities. The inflow of this group was intensified by the development of new financial instruments enabling these investors to enter the commodity markets. It is undisputable that speculators have positive effect on the markets, by providing liquidity and lowering transaction costs. What remains to be answered is the real effect which the speculators have on the commodity prices, and if their action does not create distortion in the commodity prices. The price development on the commodity markets during the recent financial crisis gives strong arguments in the hands of those accusing the speculators of the negative impact on the commodity prices, which sometimes lead to creation of price bubbles. The goal of this thesis will be the analysis of the effect of speculators on the commodity markets, and if this prejudice is justified.

Stimulatory effect of humic and fulvic acids extracted from local sources of peat (the origin of CR) on germination and early growth of hemp (Cannabis sativa L.), poppy (Papaver somniferum L.), pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and rape (Brassica napus subsp. napus) was verified. Experiments were performed in standard laboratory conditions. Dry weight of sprout was determined. Obtained data were evaluated by the ANOVA test. Tested plants can be arranged in the order from the significant positive effect on the dry weight to the negative one as follows: hemp, poppy, pepper, rape.

Influence of deep stabilizing system on obstructive lung disease
LUKŠÍKOVÁ, Klára
This Bachelor Thesis tries to solve the question whether the activation of the deep stabilization system has got any provable influence on obstructive lung diseases. It is based on clinical experience that points to a positive influence of the deep stabilization system on respiration. The aim of this thesis is a spirometric observation of resting breathing and respiratory rhythm which come about after the activation of the deep stabilization system when Vojta reflex locomotion method has been used to arouse this system. The theoretical part briefly summarizes findings about respiratory physiology and kinesiology; it deals with pathophysiology and pathokinesiology of obstructive air passages with a focus on asthma bronchiale. One of the chapters deals with spirometric examinations. Then there is a description of the deep stabilization system from the point of view of the influence on respiratory functions and a possibility of his activation through Vojta reflex locomotion. For the practical part of the thesis I chose qualitative strategies of research. Acquired data were based on 5 case interpretations which included anamnestic information and kinesiologic analysis of probands suffering from obstructive lung diseases. The main part of the research was built up on spirometric measuring of resting breathing, observation of changes in respiratory rhythm and changes in time proportions between inhalations and exhalations during three different situations. In the first situation there were no interventions in proband's breathing. In the second situation the proband was measured in the position of decentration. The third situation involved measuring after the activation of the deep stabilization system through Vojta reflex locomotion. The analogue scale of subjective perception of respiratory state was also included in the research. Evaluated data of the spiriometric measurements of resting breathing did not bring anticipated results. A positive result was recorded only at the changes of respiratory rhythm and a subjective perception of easier breathing was proved after the stimulation of Vojta reflex locomotion. The respiratory rhythm changes were dependent on postural situations. In the position of decentration the number of breaths increased, on the contrary the number of breaths decreased after the stimulation of Vojta reflex locomotion. When observing the subjective perception of respiratory state there was a shift on the analogue scale to a better position by 23.18 mm after the stimulation of Vojta reflex locomotion. Results in measurements of the time proportions between inhalations and exhalations were highly disparate.

Southeast Asian Englishes and their perception
Bukraba, Maria ; Matuchová, Klára (advisor) ; Bojarová, Marie (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to prove that words from Southeast Asian varieties of English which were included in Oxford English Dictionary bear a unique meaning and thus are indispensable. Theoretical part depicts a classification of Englishes by Braj Kachru and later explores historical and socio-political aspects of English in countries where it is spoken by a large part of population such as Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong which technically belongs to East Asia, but for the linguistic purposes it is included in the list. The practical part examines lists of words included in Oxford English dictionary from the mentioned varieties of English with the aid of local context such as magazines, blogs, newspapers and other unofficial sources. On the basis of the results of this research, it can be concluded that words from Southeast Asian varieties of English are irreplaceable due to their distinctive meaning.

The image of lifestyle in magazine Vlasta between 1990 and 1999
Čermáková, Jana ; Köpplová, Barbara (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis "The Image of Lifestyle in Magazine Vlasta between 1990 and 1999" is focusing on media image of lifestyle in the nineties in Czechoslovakia, later Czech republic. The subjects which were investigated in terms of a lifestyle were: housing, fashion, health, eating, weight loss, sport, traveling, new technologies, consumer goods and beauty. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part there is a political, historical, cultural and media environment in nineties. Empirical part describes a history and editorial staff of the magazine Vlasta. A content analysis was chosen for examining the magazine and it is described in methodological part. The goal of a quantitative and qualitative analysis is to prove stated hypotheses. The nineties meant for Czech people a lot of social changes and also everyday life was affected. The transformation involved habits and interests of people which can be observed during the decade. This diploma thesis is focusing on changes in lifestyle because of commercialism. Observes how much more people were interested in traveling considering new possibilities and aims also on health lifestyle.

Histological evaluation of the parasitic load using the model Myoxocephalus scorpius and Gymnocanthus tricuspis - Trichodina spp.
KOMENDOVÁ, Klára
The main goal of this work was the study of parasitism of a shorthorn sculpin (Myoxocephalus scorpius) and an arctic staghorn sculpin (Gymnocanthus tricuspis) parasitized by ciliates Trichodina spp. Studied samples of gill originated from fish caught in 2011 and 2012 in the central part of Svalbard mainly in the bay of Petuniabukta. In the same fish, from which samples of gill were taken, parasitic endohelminths were also identified. Histological and microscopic methods were used for quantification of the ciliates and their prevalence in the samples from individual fish was compared with number of identified helminths and with the physical condition of the host fish. One of the main aims of this work was to confirm or exclude the hypothesis that the number of the parasitic ciliates Trichodina spp. correlates with the intensity of infection with endohelminths and that in general a higher level of parasitism is also reflected by a lower physical condition of fish. Another aim of the work was to improve the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills in histological methods, which included fixation, embedding, cutting and staining of tissues, and to learn the methods of microscopic diagnostics. For the histological assessment, samples of gills from a shorthorn sculpin were used. These fish were caught using a benthic gill net or during diving and then their length, total weight, weight of gonads and weight of liver were sequentially measured. The gill samples taken during pathological dissection of fish were carefully fixed for subsequent histological examination and labelled. During dissection the parasitic endohelminths were also identified and counted. The tapeworm Diplocotyle olrikii (Cestoda: Spathebothriidea), plerocercoids Tetraphyllidae gen. sp., a intestinalfluke Podocotyle atomon (Digenea: Opecoelidae) and anisakid larvae (Nematoda: Anisakidae) were among the identified parasites. Histological dissections were made from each gill. The sections were examined by the microscopes Olympus BX51 and Olympus CX 21 with objectives 20 x and 40 x.Trichodines and endohelminths were quantified and their numbers recorded together with parameters of the host fish and their calculated condition factors. The fish condition was estimated using condition factors GSI (gonadosomatic index), LSI (hepatosomatic index) and KK (condition coefficient). To determine the correlation between the number of the individual parasites, species identity and sex of fish, an analysis of main components (PCA) in program Canoco for Windows was performed. The ordination diagram showed the positive correlation between all categories of parasites with the strongest correlation between tapeworms, flukes and nematodes. Trichodines exhibited a weak positive correlation with nematodes correlation while there was almost no correlation with flukes and tapeworms. The second statistical testing was performed by the statistical program R. Using this program condition indexes dependence on the number of parasites, species identity and sex of fish was assessed. The results did not show the negative effect of parasites on the condition of the fish, on the contrary the condition indexes of fish were increasing with increasing number of parasites. It is likely that the used indexes might not be ideal indicators of condition because they reflect mainly the size (and thus age) of fish. Different results were obtained using the condition coefficient (KK), which showed a trend towards a negative dependence on trichodina and endohelminth numbers. However, this trend was not statistically significant.

Personal Income Taxation in the Czech Republic and the United States of America
Doubravová, Lucie ; Rytířová, Lucie (advisor) ; Tepperová, Jana (referee)
This diploma thesis describes the topic of personal income taxation in the Czech Republic compared to the United States of America and on the case studies it compares the tax burden of the family with two children earning average income from employment in the Czech Republic and in the United States of America. The aim is to prove that the results comply with the OECD statistics saying that the tax burden difference between those two states is approximately the same. The fractional aim is to examine if the tax burden for the same family with the above-average employment income in the United States is much higher that it can be one of the motives why people enter or leave different labour markets. The second case study focuses on the differences in the taxation of the different tax return categories of the taxpayers and confirms the theory that the average benefit of 450 USD per year appears with taxpayers filing the married filing jointly tax return. The thesis also describes the international taxation basics with the Double tax treaty and the concepts of tax residence and taxation principles such as tax equity and efficiency.

Dovoz tropických plodin z Kolumbie do České Republiky: je poptávka dostatečně pokryta?
Přibylová, Jana ; Gutiérrez Chvalkovská, Jana (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
The demand for tropical fruit in the Czech Republic is rising, it´s a trend in the modern way of life. People in the Czech Republic, and all over the world, demand healthier ways of food consumption. We did research concerning a supply in the supermarkets and consumers. I found out, that a demand for tropical fruit was not very well covered and that people were demanding more variety of tropical fruit and were ready to up pay double prices for it. I compared data about consumption of tropical fruits in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The comparison is drawn from net import of tropical fruit and net import it´s divided per capita. We proved that people in the Czech Republic were consuming fewer kilograms per capita per year than people in Germany and Austria. Annual consumption of tropical fruit in the Czech Republic grew by 7 % during the last five years, while in Germany it amounted to 0,3% and in Austria to 4,5%.

Vliv ropných šoků na ekonomiky USA a Venezuely od 70. let do současnosti
Pavlíček, Vojtěch ; Pikhart, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Strejček, Ivo (referee)
This paper attempts to define the impact of the oil price shocks on the economy. In the theory paper examines the general impact of the changes in the oil prices on the economy and the possibility of the central bank to respond to these changes, which proves to be quite difficult due to the time lag in the effectiveness of monetary policy. The practical part includes, inter alia, the development of the oil shocks of the 70s, with a focus on the latest crisis of 2014 the economy of the United States and Venezuela. In the US case is detected dual impact. Despite the negative impact on the individual segments of the economy, however, it can be argued that the low price of oil for the US is positive stimulus. On the contrary, the Venezuelan economy is experiencing within the low prices as export economy clearly negative shock, which uncovered nonfunctional economic system.
