An analysis of differential equations for systems involving bottlenecks
Borkovec, Ondřej ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kisela, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with modelling of the flow of products through systems involving bottlenecks using ordinary differential equations. The model is based on hydrodynamics analogy. Further, the conditions for the sustainability of a system, that is the requirements needed not to exceed the maximal capacity, so that the flow of products can flow continuously through the given spot. A model is used to solve examples for vayrying systems.
Application of queuing theory model
Krausová, Lenka ; Kvasnička, Roman (advisor) ; Dömeová, Ludmila (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is detailed description of queuing theory. The goal is to analyse queuing system in company ČEZ and to suggest practical steps for the system improvement. Thesis is divided into two major parts. Theoretical part describes queue theory in detail, its models and characteristics and serves as baseline for practical part. In the practical part of thesis, real-life queuing system of company ČEZ will be analyzed. System will be described by chosen model and additional characteristics will be calculated. Based on several projections, most cost-effective variant will be chosen. In the conclusion part, practical steps will be presented in order to minimalize costs.
Quality of Service Ensurence in Data-Networks
Mareček, Petr ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of ensuring the Quality of Service (QoS) in data networks. The first part is theoretical, where is described QoS technology and her mechanisms. At the end of the theoretical part, possible queuing systems are shortly presented. The second part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of a laboratory exercise with the aim of proving theoretical knowledge and evaluating the suitability of a certain queuing system according to the provided services.
System for Support of Dynamic Data Structures Learning
Trávníček, Jiří ; Grulich, Lukáš (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
The main objective of this work is to design and implement an application that can be used as an aid for the education of programming essentials. Particularly, the attention focuses on the domain of dynamic data structures. The target application will be implemented with the use of web technologies so that it can be run in an ordinary WWW browser. First of all, a brief introduction recapitulates the data structures to be covered. Then the work summarizes the usable technologies available within the web browsers with the focus on the particular technology (which is DHTML) that will become the target platform. The most significant part of this work then discusses the design of the final application. This rather theoretical part is then followed by the description of the practical implementation. A short user manual is also included.
Experimental network for QoS support testing
Fogl, Miroslav ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The work specifies problems with support of qualitative requirements in IP network services on the network and link layer. There are also described options of qualitative support of individual networking components in the UTKO laboratory (routers, L3 switches). Created experimental network is loaded by various types of service (VoIP, FTP, HTTP, Video). Data services realization is ensured by available terminals (IP phones, IP cameras, IP video-phones, servers, client stations). Metering is targeted on the manipulation with packets in the router. Options which Cisco router offers are verified by packet analysis. Available methods of dropping are compared on the base of metering and evaluated. Optimal handling with output queue after metering in experimental network is LLQ mechanism. It is able to prefer packets according to their priority in the IP header. Further the difference of link overloading by huge dataflow after QoS policy using is simulated. To reach availability of data services in the whole network is necessary to deal with mechanisms for qualitative services support in all the network components in the network.
Testing of QoS support in experimental data network
Fogl, Miroslav ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with the qualitative requirements on services in IP networks based on technology Ethernet. We describe basic methods for imposing quality control mechanisms on services within networks. We elaborate on the ways, in which packets can be handled, overload controlled and transfer speed in network elements limited. Attention is given also to the Network Layer and Link Layer. Based on concrete specifications of network devices in UTKO laboratory an experimental network was designed and constructed. Network consisting of routers and switches linked several servers with client stations. Various types of data transfers (VoIP, HTTP, FTP, video) were generated. Several techniques for handling packets with different priorities were verified and compared. We observed that, in situations when connections are under full load, implementation of QoS support in the network becomes very important. This observation was confirmed by measurements. We also measured the parameters of the system during simulations of various situations, such as overload of a connection due to unsolicited operations or failure of a connection between routers. In order to guarantee the quality of services it is necessary to create a domain, in which rules are consistently observed in all network elements.
Eye tracking
Magula, Filip ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with tracing the eyes in real-time video using infrared radiation treatment and detection of its rebound on pupils. It describes the human eye and its response to infrared radiation. It contains proposals for hardware and software solutions and the final realization of the basic options in Simulink, explains the selected methods of digital image processing and includes an assessment of the methods used in this work in conclusion.
Automatic Attendant application using Asterisk PBX
Benýšek, Jiří ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Kovář, Petr (advisor)
Application of IP telephony is still more and more popular. This technology is designed for large companies as well as for home or office use. If customer needs to use advanced features of the private branch exchanges, he had to purchase more expensive solutions than common equipment. These professional products may be replaced by open source solutions, which can fully replace them. Private branch exchange Asterisk is one example of these products. Bachelor’s thesis is focused on IP telephony, treats of basic principles and network protocols used by this service. This thesis then describes the public branch exchange Asterisk, its possibilities for use in call centers and administration of call queues using this PBX. After theoretical analysis, this thesis deals with installation and configuration of this PBX. It includes installation of necessary operating system, additional packages containing necessary libraries and modules needed for correct function of the PBX. Configuration of Asterisk such as creation of user accounts of SIP protocol and dialplan is described in the next chapter and then all of these functions are tested. Achieved practical results are presented in the last chapter of this bachelor’s thesis.
The End World war 2 in Prachatice and surrounding (on the basis of literature, repositories and eyewitness memories)
ŠTUDLAR, Pavel
The thesis targets at events which took place in the town of Prachatice and its surroundings at the end of the Second World War. It is based on written sources (filed in the State District Archives Prachatice), as well as on literature sources focusing on this topic and eyewitness memories. The first part presents a brief characterization of the town from geographical, social and economic point of view. The second chapter deals with events taking place in September 1938 when Prachatice was occupied by Nazi Germans. The third part shortly depicts the process of front war situations in Europe. The main part of the thesis consists of chapter 4 and 5 which present the way of living and events happening in the town from January 1945 to May 1945 when Prachatice was liberated by the US army. The thesis aims to connect general relations with events that happened in Prachatice and its surroundings not only to illustrate the topic from literature sources but also from people{\crq}s own memories. It tends to depict this period full of worries and hope. It is hoped to contribute to completion of the town history.
