China in international trade focusing on economic relations with EU

The thesis deals with the issues of economic cooperation between China and the Euroepan Union. Particular emphasis is given to the economic relations which are presented in the results of economic cooperation from 1975 until present. Whereas the mutual relations cannot be almost purely considered as a resultant economic variables, the issue is supplemented by international political questions which are closely related to the issue as well. The observed economic data are used to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of economic relations of China and the European Union and threats and opportunities arising from them.
Analysis of economic relations between the Czech Republic and Italy in the period 2005-2011

This thesis deals with the economic relations of the Czech Republic and Italy in the period 2005-2011. The aim of the thesis is to analyse business relations Czech Republic with Italy on the basis of foreign trade and direct investment and identify opportunities for Czech exporters on the Italian market. To meet the goal of the thesis, the economic situation of both countries is characterized in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with mutual foreign trade. The next chapter focuses on the business and political relations mainly export promotion policy of the Czech Republic in relation to Italy. Finally, the last part is dedicated to foreign direct investment issue. Based on the data, it is possible to say that Italy is an important trading partner for Czech Republic.

European Union Foreign Policy towards China since 2000

The topic of this final thesis is EU-China relations since 2000. EU and China are both relatively new actors in the international relations. EU and PRC both have certain potential for the future. EU is an organization of 27 member states, which together make the biggest world economy. China is under Chinese Communist Party leadership; it has the biggest world population and large and fast growing economy. Diplomatic relations were established in 1975 and since then, EU and China have been cooperating in political, economic and other areas. Since 2003 there has been a strategic partnership, which now includes more than 50 sectorial dialogues. On the other hand, there are some problems and drawbacks in the bilateral relations: human rights, Tibet, Taiwan, arms embargo and trade disputes. In this thesis it is examined, whether economic cooperation or European values (human rights, democracy and rule of law) are more important in mutual relations.

The thesis deals with the analysis of economic and political relations between EU and China and is divided into two parts. In the first part, the thesis provides an analysis of Sino-EU political relations. It covers the development and gradual expansion of the areas of mutual partnership along with problems and subsequent recommendations aimed at strengthening the cooperation. A separate chapter within the political relations is dedicated to arms embargo. The second, economic part of the thesis deals with China's economic development, growing trade partnership between China and the EU and problems that still persist in their trade relations. Selected problems will be given some attention as well. Lastly, the environmental protection will be subjected to deeper analysis.
Specifics of Political and Economic Relations between Estonia and Russian Federation

The first chapter of the thesis offers a short theoretical view on relations among small and big states. The second chapter deals with political relations of Estonia and Russia. The chapter also describes beginnings of independent Estonian political scene as well as Russian reactions on the newly given situation. The third chapter looks at security dimension of the Estonian-Russian relations. In the fourth chapter the readers can find information about ethnic minorities in Estonia with emphasis on the Russian minority. The whole mninority issue is put into political, economic, diplomatic and security context. The fifth chapter describes mutual conflicts between Estonia and Russia which appeared in recent past and their consequences on both internal and international political scenes. Economic relations between Estonia and Russian Federation are described in the sixth chapter where one can also find comparison of the basic macroeconomic aggregates and quantification of mutual trade. A part of this chapter is also an analysis of competitiveness of Estonia and Russia. The seventh chapter deals with the reality of mutual crossborder cooperation between Estonia and Russia.
Tradition and present of the Czech-Dutch relations

The master thesis analyzes a development of Czech-Dutch relations from the first contacts in the Middle Ages till the present. The thesis is divided into chapters chronologically but the emphasis is placed on the 20th century also because of the number of sources. Bilateral relations of these two actors of the international relations are examined on the political, economic and cultural level. The master thesis is based first of all on the archival sources of the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of the Czech Republic and it is the first overview which is given on the mutual Czech-Dutch relations according to the three above mentioned levels.
Economic relations of EU and Canada

This thesis is dedicated to the issue of economic relations between European Union and Canada. It deals with the development of their relations and concentrates on the analysis of the reciprocal trade flows of goods. It characterizes economies and international trade of the partners and sets the trends of their future cooperation based on the analysis of their bilateral trade. Thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter defines the economy and the development of macroeconomic indicators and international trade of the EU. The second chapter is dedicated to Canada and has the same structure as the first one. The development of the bilateral relations of EU and Canada and their legal basis are described in the third chapter. It also analyses the development of their reciprocal flows of trade in goods until the year 2001. The analysis of their bilateral trade in the last decade continues in the fourth chapter, in which also the trends of the development of EU-Canada economic relations in the future are set.

Bachelor work Economic relations between EU and China is focused on analysis of economic relations between European union and People's republic of China. It also describes the influence of political decisions on the relations of EU and China. The goal of this work is to prove hypothesis, that positive development of their common relations is necessary for the prosperity of both EU and China. The arguments being used are citations from various sources with the emphasis on their diversity and credibility. The reader can find there also a prognosis of these two superpowers supported by variety of professional opinions.
