Práce popisuje category management, jeho definice a vývoj. Stěžejní část práce se věnuje osmi krokům category management procesu a subjektům, které do tohoto procesu vstupují. Mezi osm kroku patří definování kategorie, analýza kategorie, hodnocení subjektů, stanovení cíle kategorie, taktická rozhodnutí, strategická rozhodnutí, implementace a zpětná vazba. Praktická část je zaměřena na deskripci konkrétního category management projektu a tento projekt je porovnán s teoretickými předpoklady.

V této diplomové práci se zabývám právě návrhem zavedení takového komplexního informačního systému, konkrétně Identity management systému. Toto téma jsem si zvolil z mnoha důvodů. Tím hlavním je možnost praktického užití závěrů této práce pro samotnou společnost Tesco, i když připouštím, že některé oblasti nejsou postiženy v takové detailnosti, jaká by byla pro společnost potřebná pro finální rozhodnutí ze strany managementu. Zaměřil jsem se především na oblast možných rizik, na nedostatky stávajícího systému a na analýzu nového navrhovaného systému.
Evaluation of information system with special concern in effectiveness

The goal of this thesis is to work up an overview about problematic relating to evaluation of use and effectiveness of IS/IT in organization. The accent in analyzing and evaluating is placed on soft metrics of IS/IT and its character. Author creates a task to specify and make clear why to evaluate IS/IT and which utility such evaluation brings. Other goal is to explain possible approaches of evaluating and the differences between them. The thesis is divided into two logical parts. First part contains theoretical base focused on soft metrics of measuring IS/IT. The second part is focused on describing practical measurement of IS/IT in organization. For full description of given area, author presents important aspects of public sector and significant law restrictions. This thesis presents one of the possible approaches to evaluate IS/IT in organization. Its benefit lies in connecting theoretical base with practical example, which author considers "best practice" in area of elaborated problematic.
Kulturní specifika managementu multinacionálních firem

Nowadays the world is becoming increasingly economically connected, and cultural diversity of employees is gaining importance as a crucial competitive advantage. Cross-cultural communication ability is becoming a key management skill in multinational firms and is equally important for other employees who are exposed to other cultures in the workplace. This work mainly focuses on cultural specifics of management in multinational firms. The goal of this thesis is to discover how different national cultures influence management of people, particularly work relationships, management tools and organization structures. The author discovers this through cultural dimensions that she updates for the Czech Republic and Slovakia for her work using methodology of Fons Trompenaars. The author tests three hypotheses: about the development of preferences of cultural dimensions in time, differences in preferences of cultural dimensions of Czechs and Slovaks and differences in preferences of cultural dimensions based on people's gender, age and the number of years spent abroad. The work also presents mapping of changes of attitudes in specific work and personal situations of Czechs and Slovaks over a period of time. The work additionally analyzes the influence of economic factors on work attitudes and preferences of cultural dimensions and identifies areas of potential conflicts between the cultures of Czechs and Slovaks in the workplace. It also compares results with other researches about cultural dimensions and cultural standards. The work concludes by presenting culturally specific recommendations for management of Czechs and Slovaks.
Contemporary Trends in Education of Managers

The theoretical part of the work deals with education as such, it builds people's adult education and result in trends of management's education, both from a time past and present. The practical part deals with the comparison of the three schools on the basis of the qualitative description, analysis, comparison and synthesis. The result of the work is answer questions whether the school places equal emphasis on the same articles and where the contents of these articles on individual schools agree. It also includes recommendations for how to analyze, to achieve more meaningful capabilities.

This graduation thesis focuses on the identification of key sources of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) which are present in a chosen organization. The outcome of this work contains a list of factors which have supporting or adverse effect on OCB usage. The thesis also includes recommendations for arrangements of the working environment which would increase the willingness of the employees to exhibit OCB.

At the begining the thesis generally describes semi-budgetary organizations and compare them with other types of non-profit organizations. Then it proceedes with the problematics of financing, management and accounting of these organizations founded by municipal authorities of Czech Republic. Finaly the thesis concentrates on Basic artistic school Hronov and examines how the activities of the school interacted with its management in the years 2004 - 2009.
