Tourism development in the Western Ukraine

This diploma thesis deals with the tourism development in the region of Western Ukraine. The good reason for the analysis of the Western Ukraine is the fact that the part of a region (Podkarpatská Rus) belonged to our state territory in a part of our history but an awareness of the tourism potential has not been deeply analysed yet. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to process a tourism development strategy for the Western Ukraine. A partial goal is a categorization of individual destinations of the Western Ukraine in-to the Butler cycle. The initial part contains theoretical frames for this thesis. The Western region of Ukraine is specified in the Methods chapter. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used for analyses. I received important statistical figures during a communication with representative of the State Statistics Committee of the Ukraine. I analyse foreign arrivals flows to the Ukraine and to the Western Ukraine region. Further the diploma thesis is divided into two parts. Firstly I analyse a capacity of the Ukraine tourism. Zoos within the structure and functioning of European cities

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is a comparison of a Brno city and a Zoo Brno, as representatives of European cities and zoos, regarding their structure, functioning, operation, their mutual influence and cooperation. The thesis deals with certain features that occur in urban and zoo structures and with the demonstration of individual analyses. These include, for example, analyses of planning development documentation, transport infrastructure, management and financing methods, engineering networks, or public space amenities. Evaluation of these analyses will reveal whether zoos and cities have the same, similar or completely different structure. The introductory part of the thesis deals with the origin of zoos, their development, common factors, contexts, and their influence on the structure of many European cities.

Based on the analysis of the external and internal environment, weaknesses and strengths as well as opportunities and threats are identified, which are arranged in a SWOT matrix. With the help of critical analysis, a proposal for a company development strategy is developed, the implementation of which is to improve the company's position on the market.

The Proposal for Development of Family Wine Shop in Prostějov

The diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the current state of the Vinotéka Rek family business and results in a strategy of its further development. The first theoretical part is based on the theoretical backgrounds focusing on the development and growth of entrepreneurship in particular small and family businesses, the context of strategic management within the development of companies and also on selected analytical and research methods that examine the internal, external and market environment of the company. The second, analytical part of the thesis contains the practical application of the methods to the selected company, the identification of key factors and impacts on the company and the evaluation of the overall results for the subsequent selection of the appropriate development variant. Third, the part of proposals builds on the results of the analyzes and processes the selected variant of the development strategy, including the implementation steps and the benefits of the proposals.

Urban study of developing area Dolní Vítkovice

The object of this Thesis is an area adjacent to European heritage site of Dolni Vitkovice, in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region. This work focuses on making the area more accessible by all means of transportation, overcoming natural and man-made barriers as well as exploring the possibility of dense development on the site while maintaining its industrial identity. All that in context of otherwise slowly shrinking post-industrial city with aging and declining urban population.

This dissertation is concerned with a tourism development in Western Ukraine. The main goal of this dissertation is to suggest the tourism strategy development. The first part of the dissertation is devoted to the sources analysis, the methodological analysis of this thesis and the qualitative analysis. Next part o this dissertation describes tourism in Ukraine, the tourism development in the country and the tourism development in defined region of Western Ukraine based on statistical data. The development strategy includes tourism capacity determination and the SWOT analysis. Subsequent part concerns development strategy itself, including visions and goals. The Activity of the Local Action Group LAG Strakonicko and its Impact on Regional Development

This bachelor thesis deals with the activities of the local action group called LAG Strakonicko region. The theoretical part defines general terms concerning the development of rural region and local action groups which have risen. The practical part introduces the organisation LAG Strakonicko region and also evaluates its activities so far. Based on the evaluation of analysis there are suggested appropriate arrangements for the future. This work results in judging the impact of LAG Strakonicko on the development of that region. In the questionnaire there was inquired the awareness of local inhabitants about the LAG Strakonicko.
