1 Legal regulation of firearms Abstract in english: The thesis sets up three main objectives. Firstly to enrich the public debate by verifying numerous historical arguments, which objectivity and relevancy is unclear. Three chapters of the thesis delve in to these matters, presenting cultural, historical and scientific context for evaluating legal regulation in Europe at large. For substantial demography the right to own and carry a weapon is a symbol of their freedom, while the restrictions represent authoritarian breach of their rights. To an extend this thesis verifies this notion based on historical analysis of past czech and czechoslovakian legal regulation. On the other hand presented outcome of sociological research brings up the fact that weapon at the societal level private possession of firearms does not increase the safety of individual citizens. Sociology also offers enlightement on the reasons why we seek to own and carry weapon and why we fear them. Often these reasons are similarily questionable. The second objective was to provide deeper analysis of tangible outcomes of the debate itself. Criminalistic and legal aspects of ballistics

This thesis deals with criminalistic ballistics both from the legal point of view and the natural science point of view. It tries to explain the issue of firearms and ammunition including their stipulation in the Czech legal code. The attention is salso paid to the issue of expertise emphasizing the role of an expert in criminal proceedings and in ballistics expertise as a means of evidence. Last but not least this thesis deals with the most important tasks of criminalistic ballistics.
Cimcurstances precluding wrong fulness focused on a legal gun use

The Thesis deals with all the circumstances precluding wrong fulness, their history, mutual relation, basic issues of individual circumstances and focuses in its second part mainly to the legitimate use of a weapon, a relationship of fair use weapons and self-defense and extreme emergency procedure for obtaining a gun license at the civilian population and procedures for the use of the weapons of the armed forces of the Czech Republic etc. At the end of the treatment compared with the authorized use of a weapon by adjusting the UK and USA.
Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic

Title: Basic Firearms Training for The Police of the Czech Republic Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to elaborate on basic firearms and shooting technique training within the scope of the basic training course of the Police of the Czech Republic. Methods: The fundamental methods used in the thesis are the data collection method, applied not only for studying literature, but also in the subsequent selection of professional experience and knowledge. Another method is the analysis method, used for expert evaluation, verification, the quantitative, material, as well as interpretative and comparative analysis. Another basic scientific method is applied, for the purpose of describing basic methodological and tactical procedures and also creating a set of preparatory training sessions. The method is referred to as information synthesis. Results: The output of the thesis is creating a complex view of the issue concerning firearms training for the Police of the Czech Republic according to today's methodology, tasks and objectives laid on this education course. Despite the curriculum of the firearms training being the same for several years, there is a definite improvement and effort to draw the training closer to actual situations and operations. Weapon (not only) as a work of art

The aim of this thesis is to introduce various types of weapons, not only as objects of everyday use, but also as objects which are of high artistic value. The aim is to introduce the phenomenon of arms not only as objects, which are designed for different types of practical applications, but also as a fine art and artifacts with the aesthetic and functional value. The main method for the production of this thesis was to study literature and other texts, or materials related to the given topic. The thesis is divided into several chapters by type of weapon (cold, firearms) and by continents, where the weapons occurred. Then I focused my research on the phenomenon of arms in the film industry, and the question of arms and related violence and also the issue of preventing violence, bullying and crime.
