General Codes with m Marks
Holešovský, Jan ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (referee) ; Skula, Ladislav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with results of error-correcting codes theory, which deals with detection and correction of errors, that arise during communication by means of these codes. The aim of this thesis is the explanation of the theory above in absolute generality, followed by detail view of some significant codes. Using linear algebra over finite fields, we will introduce an error-corecting code like a set with structure, whose characters considerably simplify the detection and correction of errors. The knowledge, that was acquired for general codes, is applied to well-known binary codes at the end of the thesis (ie. Hamming codes and Golay code). With these codes are demonstrated their properties, that sort these codes to the most important binary codes.

Realisation of convolutional decoders
Šicner, Jiří ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Němec, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with convolution codes. The work is divided into several parts. The introductory part contains basic description of convolution codes, their properties and distribution. There are briefly outlined some methods of decoding convolution codes. Another part of the proposal includes a specific code according to the award and implementation of decoder for this code. Then the full proposal is verified here by using Matlab Simulink. The last part includes a proposal for printed circuit encoder and decoder.

Design of magnetic bar-code read head
Kadlčík, Libor ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Mikulka, Jan (advisor)
Magnetic bar-code is composed from ferromagnetic bars printed on a substrate. The amount of ferromagnetic material is low, therefore reading magnetic barcode requires sensitive methods. Principle of methods of sensing both low-intensity magnetic field (fluxgates) and detecting low concentration of ferromagnetic material (resonant circuit, differential sensor) will be described. There are sensors producing frequency-modulated signal, therefore we focus on frequency demodulators as well. Signal acquired by sensor suffers from convolution distortion, reconstruction methods will be introduced. The assembled device consists of sensing oscillator, frequency demodulator, amplifier and reconstructing circuit. Frequency demodulation is done by phase-locked loop or differential demodulator. Reconstruction is based on detection of inflection points, producing square signal (representing bars of barcode). Design of these blocks is described. The device is able to read magnetic barcodes and reconstruct convolutionary distorted acquired signal. The differential demodulator exhibits low noise and low temperature drift (contrary to phase-locked loop). Signal produced by reading 2 mm wide bars is reconstructed without any problems, bars of width less than 1 mm cause troubles in certain cases (due to high degree of convolution distortion).

Philosophy for children as a concept of religious education and catechesis
ODEHNALOVÁ, Barbora
This thesis considers two questions, "How children aged 12 to 15 years rethinking of biblical texts? And how can using the Philosophy for Children stimulate thinking about faith of children aged 12 to 15 years?" To answer these questions, I chose the qualitative research, which consisted in various discussions in selected focus groups. This dialogue was guided by the principles of philosophy for children. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the definition of important concepts, such as religious education, catechesis from the perspective of various documents of the Church and other educational programs, and specifying the key differences between these two concepts, define the structure and principles of philosophy for children, but also the historical development of this program. The practical part deals with the qualitative research in focus groups. This research includes discussion of selected focus groups, where individual statements are encoded and then included in the table of frequencies. According to these tables discussions is evaluated in terms of statements frequencies. Subsequently the content of discussions is also evaluated. The codes are divided into categories from which discussions are evaluated in the final summary with answers to the key questions.
