Mazancová, Dagmar ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Bydžovská, Lenka (referee) ; Winter, Tomáš (referee)
The goal of this work is to chart in detail the activities of the group Sociální skupina Ho-Ho-Ko-Ko and to contextualize it with the postwar realisms in Germany, France and Italy. The thesis briefly defines the variety of realistic tendencies in the twenties - neoclassicism, primitivism, metaphysical painting, new objektivity, and magic realism and characterizes their principal representatives in the above mentioned countries. The production of the group, which is the pivotal theme, is introduced on the basis of reconstruction of the exhibition catalogues, exploration of theoretical background through newly found archival documents, estimation of both known and newly found reviews of temporary newspapers and magazines. For detailed examination of the group's specificity are its works of art, divided into iconography chapters, compared with the examples of European realistic tendencies. A special consideration is devoted to the program proclamations and the scale in which the group succeeded in their implementation.

The set of maps for workers of local government of city Vodňany.
HORNYCH, Lukáš
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create set of maps for workers of local government of city Vodňany. All the maps were created after discussing them with the councilors of the city so that they would be actually useful for everyday work. The characteristic of the area is not part of the bachelor thesis because of the high specifity of bachelor thesis which focuses to the practical part. The theoretical part starts with issues of geographical infromation systems (GIS), without which I would not be able to create maps. Next, I shortly focus on the history of GIS, components and data. The thesis continues with a chapter about the GIS of city, in which there is mentioned a procedure of how the GIS should be created. The making of the next chapter was also very important for practical part of my bachelor thesis. It focuses on the data for the purposes of making an atlas. It contains analog and digital data, which are available for the municipality, and also public databases. The last chapter is a methodic, in which I deal with creation of each map.

Piano Compositions in Norway
Konopa, Ondřej
The goal of the work Norwegian piano music is to map out the important part of Norwegian music culture, to outline possibilities of its usage in concerts as well as in pedagogical practice and to present the results to the wide public. Public knowledge of the Norwegian part of the European cultural heritage is in comparison to knowledge in other national cultures quite poor. This concerns not only the Czech Republic, but mostly all European countries. It may be caused by the language as well as geographical barrier to information access. This work wants to use potential and special knowledge of its problems, make an analysis of usage possibilities in performing and pedagogical practice. Finally, the work wants to extend knowledge in European music culture to those Czech and foreign people who are interested in, and to offer them posiibilities of the practical use of this information.

Contemporary Czech Music for Harpsichord
Knoblochová, Monika ; Mrázková, Giedre (advisor) ; Růžičková, Zuzana (referee) ; Willi, Barbara Maria (referee)
Czech contemporary music for harpsichord is extraordinary both in importance and in the number of pieces that have been composed in the past eighty years. But professional literature, surprisingly, has not concerned itself with this subject. (See the chapter ?Critical Evaluation of Literature?.) Because of the size of the topic, apart from summarizing the repertoire of works from the first half of the twentieth century I have devoted myself mainly to a detailed discussion of the five most important Czech composers for harpsichord: Jan Novák, Viktor Kalabis, Marek Kopelent, Jiří Teml, and Jiří Gemrot. The chapters devoted to these individual composers contain a biographical section, analysis of their compositional means, and a complete catalogue of their works for harpsichord giving circumstances of origin, performance instructions, and a brief summary including dedication, recordings, publication, deposition of the autograph, and first performance. A dominant position among the composers chosen is held by Jiří Teml, and a complete recording of Teml?s music for harpsichord on two compact discs serves as the practical part of this dissertation. Besides the above-mentioned information provided for all five chosen composers, the chapter on Teml includes a detailed analysis of his compositional means and procedures. The dissertation also makes use of authentic recollections and commentary by the chosen composers or members of their families, which I consider to be an important contribution to the subject being treated.
