Schedule analysis

Goal of this work was to engage in formal analysis of schedules, i.e. identifying weak spots and consequently design method to correct those weak points. Moreover this thesis addresses method, how from constructed corrections take appropriate set, called portfolio. Resulting software prototype called an Analyzer is integrated into FlowOpt project, which represents complex solution from modeling workflows, creation of schedules to displaying schedules using Gantt diagrams. Teaching schedule for Android

The goal of this thesis is to create a mobile application that makes easier to organize the time of the students of Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The final application enables the user to personalize the schedule downloaded from the Student Information System. The application allows students to create notes and reminders, which are associated with subjects. Some of the main features are displaying notifications about the upcoming events, including the details of public transport, or enabling the silent mode during the lesson. Projection and throwness, the voluntary and the involuntary. The character of human freedom between Heidegger and Ricoeur.

The aim of this thesis is to contrast Martin Heidegger's concept of projection and thrownness with Paul Ricoeur's dichotomy of the voluntary and the involuntary, both of which attempt to describe the state of human freedom. The concept of freedom is the focal point of this comparison. According to both Heidegger and Ricoeur, human beings posses freedom that is limited by thrownness and the involuntary and both philosophers approach this problem analogically. It is also important to note that Ricoeur built on Heidegger's foundation and was inspired by some of his ideas. Not only will this thesis explore the analogies and main points of Ricoeur's and Heidegger's concepts, it will also demonstrate what changes the concept of human freedom underwent. This should help shed some light on the nature of human freedom which opens a wide range of options to choose from, although it is always limited by involuntary elements. The comparison will be based on Heidegger's concept of freedom which he described in his book Being and Time, and Ricoeur's concept of free will which he discussed in Philosophy of the Will I.

Scheduling program for elementary and secondary schools

Rozvrhovatko is a program dedicated for basic and high schools of small or medium size. The employees who are responsible for creating timetables for the school are provided with a simple tool which will save their time every year when they have to construct new timetables. Program can modify output of its generator by many parameters, such as number of lessons per day, required approbations for subjects, size of groups of students or free hours for chosen teachers. Secondary aim of program is to help those employees, who used to schedule everything on papers, to begin with automatic scheduling.

Information System of Airport

Scope of this thesis is to create information system for public airport in Brno-Medlanky. This system will be used by members of aeroclub as a main stream of information. The core feature of this system is air traffic scheduling for pilot training. This schedule is generated by instructor one time at the beginning of the flight season and can be accessed inside this system only. Access to the system is permitted for the registered members of the aeroclub only. User was verified by user name and password and each member have different level of permissions. This permissions was assigned by the administrators of this information system.

Design and Analysis of Reservation Teaching System

In this bachelor's thesis there is a detailed description of an information systems analysis and design. An attention paid to implementation of such system is also specified in further details. Techniques of procedure designing of these systems using UML are described on a specific case of reservation teaching system. This information system works with specific events, either a regular class or a one-time event. Particular users of this system are able to carry out actions, which are linked with event management as well as with subjects or classrooms.

Mobile Application for New Students at the FIT BUT

The study deals with the creation of mobile application for Windows Mobile 7 operating system, which serves to simplify the study to new students at the faculty of the FIT BUT. The theoretical section deals with the acquirement of feedback from students suggesting particular elements of application. On grounds of obtained information, proposal of content and boundaries has been made. The practical section deals with the implementation of the application´s functionality.

High school timetabling using linear programming

The school's schedule involves folding lessons within five working days, so that in each class were taught subjects required by the school curriculum in the correct number of hours and for each hour was assigned a teacher and a number of classrooms in which teaching will be realized. However, it is necessary to keep order in the resulting schedule avoid collision or vice versa unnecessary delays in the schedules of students and teachers in order to meet the conditions laid down by legislation and at the same time it was granted as much as possible the requirements of the management, teachers, or students or their parents. In this study it is proposed a mathematical model for the formation of a high school schedule that was created with the help of MPL for Windows and data provided by Gymnázium Chomutov.

Timetabling – Preparation of a timetable for school

The aim of the thesis is to create a model of timetable for primary school for all teachers and classes so that the timetable is in compliance with all teaching plans, the conditions of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (general education program), the school's needs and requirements of teachers. The timetable is created for a particular school, ZŠ nám. Svobody in Prague. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical description of methods and procedures for dealing with the problem of timetable. The second part describes the elementary school, for which the timetable is made, it's classes, teachers and conditions of the tuition. It is also formulated and described a mathematical model of the problem that is solved by using the program Lingo.

Mathematical optimization of schedule at high school

Tato diplomová práce zabývající se matematickou optimalizací rozvrhu na střední škole si klade za cíl prošetřit, zda je vhodné k optimalizaci středoškolského rozvrhu použít dělící problém. Veškeré výpočty jsou dokumentovány ve třech různých úlohách, které se zakládají na reálných datech skutečné střední školy. Z optimalizačních softwarů byly zvoleny programy Lingo a Xpress na kterých byly ověřeny dva rozdílné způsoby formulace matematického modelu. Práce obsahuje sedm příloh, které jsou obsaženy v hlavním dokumentu a speciální přílohy obsahující formulace modelů a interpretační tabulky v programu MS Excel s využitím VBA na přiloženém CD.
