The Museum in Sušice and Public

This work The Museum in Sušice and the public deals with the birth, the activities and the changes of the museum in Sušice since its establishing in year 1880 till the year 1945. It pursues the internal running of this institution, its spatial demands, funding and the administration and managing of the museum. Further this work concerns itself with the creating of the collections of the museum, while there is proper attention devoted to the phenomenon of the donations and the donators themselves. Not less attention is put on the output of the work of the museum, above all the publication activity of the men connected to museum, the creating of the long-lasting expositions as well as the short-termed exhibitions. At the end this work will try to situate the running of the museum in Sušice into wider context of the development of museum work in the region of the west Bohemia and to describe its more general progress tendentious. In the similar way it will try to capture the influence of the crucial phenomena and incidents that shaped the life in the political district of Sušice, in this context the main emphasis will be put on nationalism and Czech-German fights in the language frontier.
Swimming hall in Sušice: Impact of the investment on tourism at the given destination

Main goal of the thesis is to analyse this specific case of a free-time activity and its impact on tourism in Sušice. The thesis investigates the influence of building the swimming hall in relation to the tourism development in Sušice. City of Sušice does not belong to the main touristic goals in Šumava region. The author analyses even the steps of local city council according to interviews provided in local papers and other information sources, mostly provided by those changing the city in tourist friendly and attractive destination. The marketing has a great influence that can basically increase the volumes of visitors and whole image of the place. Climatic change effect on hydrological drought in the Otava River headwaters

CLIMATIC CHANGE EFFECT ON HYDROLOGICAL DROUGHT IN THE OTAVA RIVER HEADWATERS Abstract The submitted thesis deals with hydrological drought in condition of climate change in Otava River headwaters. The topic is discussed from four different aspects that together create a complex view on the hydrological drought issues in the catchment. The first aspect, the hydrological drought analysis in daily series, is done by threshold level method and SPA. Second aspect studies the impact of climate change on the hydrological drought by using the BILAN model. Following aspect determines a prediction of low flows and deficit volumes during drought by the recession analysis. Final aspect suggests relating process of management, planning and adaptation measures on drought. Church administration of the region of Sušice in the late Middle Ages

Jiří VLASÁK, Church administration of the region of Sušice in the late Middle Ages, The thesis, Charles University in Prague, The Faculty of Arts, 2012, The thesis is about the church administration in the region of Sušice as part of Prácheň deanery, primarily in the late Middle Ages. The thesis is focused especially on parishes in terms of sponsorial laws, financial circumstances of churches and renting of presbyteries. The text also includes another kinds of benefices in region. The attention is also devoted to local clergy. As main source of information were used administrative sources of Czech archbishopric, primarily confirm and erection books and judicial documents from Prague consistory. For inclusion of the information into the context are also added the parts about Czech church administration in the late Middle Ages and mediaeval history of the Sušice region. Centres of the Free Time Adrenaline Activities in Czechia as the Tourist Product

This thesis deals with questions of the adrenaline centres as the modern product of tourism. The main aim was to open this theme and to resume primary characteristics of the adrenaline centres. The thesis attempts to describe development of adrenaline tourism, to specify the localities, where the adrenaline centres are located and to qualify their influence on regional development. The pozitive effect of this thesis is creation of database of adrenaline centres in Czechia and their primary characteristics, also with the offer of adrenaline activities by the web agencies, that sell the vouchers on these activities. As the example of adrenaline centres was chosen the project of Offpark in Sušice, where the visitors filled in the questionnares. The aim was to find out primary information about the visitors of the adrenaline centres in relation to Offpark. These answers and the information about Offpark minister to brief estimation of the influence of Offpark on regional development on Sušice. Analysis of tourism of Sušice

The bachelor thesis evaluates tourism in the town of Sušice. The work contains geographical characteristic of the town, analysis of preconditions for development of tourism and assessment of its progress and current state. Analysis and complex evaluation of development of tourism in Sušice is the main aim of this work. Two methods were used for reaching this goal. The significant part of results is based on a survey, which is based on tourists' and local entrepreneurs' opinions. The method of controlled structured interview with chosen actors of tourism in Sušice was also used. The empirical part analyzes opinions and views of local entrepreneurs and visitors on the matter of tourism in this town. The conclusion summarizes all the knowledge, appraises set hypothesis, mentions all advantages and disadvantages of the town, and, last but not least, it also outlines new opportunities for further development of tourism in Sušice.
The local fee for spa or vacation in the region Sumava

The theme of this Bachelor thesis is "The local fee for spa or vacation in the region Sumava." The main object was to analyze the using of the local fee for spa or vacation by villages in the Sumava region and evaluation of its impact on budget revenue. In the first part is the enumeration of all possible local taxes applicable according to law No. 565/1990 Coll., about local charges local fee of the dogs, the fee for using of public spaces, entrance fee, the fee of the accommodation, the fee for a permission to enter with a motor vehicle in selected areas and urban areas,and the fee for operating the system for collection, transportation, sorting, recovery and disposal of municipal waste. The next part of this work is focused on the local fee for spa or vacation. In this chapter it is referred about the legislation, the subject and object of the fee, basis and the rate of the fee and the fee exemption. The third part describes the local tax legislation in the Czech Republic. This chapter is followed by general information about Sumava, the Sumava National Park and Protected Landscape Area of Sumava. The next chapter is already the analysis of local fee in the Sumava region - in the villages Sušice, Vimperk, Zelezna Ruda and Kasperske Hory. The conclusion of this work is a part of the thesis, which assesses the impact of the fee on the budget management of community and the evaluation of the procedure of communities.
Historical-geographical aspects of the population development of the town of Sušice

This bachelor thesis deals with the historical and geographical aspects of population development of Susice. Subsequently, the population development Sušice compared with other selected municipalities. The main emphasis is on the period of the Industrial Revolution, World War II and the current population status. In the introduction are set out the main objectives of this work and there are also outlined basic hypotheses. Subsequently, the work deals with the characteristics of Susice (physical-geographic location, socio-geographic characteristics and historical development of Susice). The following chapter is of special importance, as it deals with the population development analysis of the town Sušice. This section contains a population development analysis of the individual towns, which is then compared to that of several selected municipalities. The synthetic part differentiates among the towns based on the findings from the analytical section. The conclusion offers a summary of the major findings and proposes a population projection. A verification of the hypotheses will be made based on the results of the analysis. The entire bachelor thesis is supplemented by maps, tables and graphs.
The role of European Union funds in local politics and their utilization exemplified on Sušice

The thesis deals with the Structural Funds of European Union in relation to the local politics. Its goal is to analyze the role of these funds in the Municipal Elections and in the daily local politics. This is demonstrated on the example of the West Bohemian town Sušice. Special attention is paid especially to the election programs of the political parties in terms of the Structural Funds and to major projects, which were implemented with the support of the funds.
The utilization of cultural capital in the field of tourism (Sušice region)

This bachelor thesis describes Sušice, a town that has a large potential to become a centre of tourism for the Šumava region. The town's location is very attractive regarding its proximity to the Šumava National Park, the provided services are on the same level as other western countries, and it can accommodate needs of modern people. I analyze why it is and describe the town's politics in the last twelve years, which is open to this idea. I describe how the funds provided by the European Union help the town - based on the enhancement of the town's standards firstly from the perspective of the town's appearance, development of leisure activities, and support of culture programs.
