Smart Home Security Management

This diploma thesis is focused on increasing Smart Home Control System security in terms of information, network and physical security. It is based on a risk analysis of the current state of applied security management and the needs of the house owner. Both security countermeasure and cost analysis are thoroughly discussed, and the thesis also contains methodology, which describes the management of smart home security and improvement of end-user security awareness.

1 Introduction to the Thesis and the Importance of the Topic The sorting and the categorization of individuals and groups by their capacity and inclination to risky behavior or level of dangerousness has been and remains an essential function of security apparatus of the state and a vital component in state security. Practices of this kind became even more important in the age of international terror. The western world and specifically the United States has been the primary target of international terror suffering numerous terrorist attacks including the 9/11 attacks that became thedefining moment of how security functions in themodern world. While what we call "western world" is dominantly defined by liberal democratic political order, many of its societies and specifically the US is also defined by atechnology-enabled environment that scholarship characterizes as "surveillance society" (Gandy 1989, Lyon 2001, Lyon & Bauman 2012). Withintechnology-enabled environments the technologization of security was inevitable (Ceyhan 2008), and the 9/11 generated even more intense and enhanced efforts ofspeeding this process up (Lyon 2004, Ball and Webster 2003). The Implementation of Information Security in Healthcare Organization

This Master‘s thesis is based on knowledge of information security and its management. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part provides the theoretical background, definitions and terminology according to the information security management and it is based on concepts from standard ISO 27000 series. The second part aims to analysis of a selected company. Following to this analysis proposal of implementation of information security management system and security guide is drawn up. This guide contains recommendations for ICT security management and advices in field of personal and physical security in company.

Implementation of ICT Security Management in Highschool

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is proposal of implementation of the ICT Security Management to the specific Highschool in the Moravian-Silesian region. Introduction part describes the school building and current Security Management. In the practical part of this thesis are then discussed the shortages in the Highschool. This is done mainly from the perspective of security mechanisms used and the behavior of users and administrators. There are also proposals how to deal with this situation in this work.
