The main section is focused on topic about ongoing tender for the Temelin nuclear power plant. It also focuses on the legislative framework and regulations relating of the energy sector.
Energy policy of the European Union and the success of its performance between 2010 and 2015

This bachelor thesis explores the history of energy policies since the Second World War and the success of its performance from years 2010 to 2015. The first part of this bechalor thesis explores the history and development of energy policy and the various communities during the previous six decades. The second part of this thesis contains an analysis of the economic situation in Europe and in main states in the field of energy resources, evaluation the reasons for planning Energy Union and analysis of success EU energy policies in the period 2010-2015 on the basis of three main energy documents: Europe 2020, Energy 2020 and Energy infrastructure priorities for 2020 and beyond: A Blueprint for an integrated European energy network. The main objective was to determine whether the objectives of these documents are still actually achievable from 2016 perspective. The thesis concludes that the majority of the three main energy documents fulfill the goals despite the EU energy policy, understood in a broader context than just these three documents, is definitely not in a perfect condition. The evidence is even the necessity to prepare a new Energy Union.
Unconventional Oil Resources and Their Role in Canadian Economy

The aim of this master thesis is to explore the significance of the growing oil sands production for the economy of the province of Alberta as well as the whole of Canada. Parts of this thesis will outline current global energetic situation with the emphasis on oil production and explain the importance of seeking new alternative sources which includes the renewable energy as well as the unconventional oil and gas. With the waning amount of easily accessible light oil reserves it is likely that the unconventional oil resources where the production is both energetically and financially challenging will become more and more important.
The Course of the Privatization Process in the Energy Sector in the Czech Republic between the years 1990 and 2011

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the course of the privatization process in the energy sector in the Czech Republic between the years 1990 and 2011. The analysis starts with a description of the energy sector before 1989 and continues with the privatization process and important changes concerning the property rights in the energy sector up to the present day. The changes regarding the property rights in the energy sector are the subject of interest and discussion not only among economic experts and politicians, but also among all citizens who purchase electricity. In the theoretical part of this thesis all necessary terms and definitions related to the subject of Czech transformation and the energy sector are explained. The process of the transformation of the Czech economy is analysed, with the emphasis put on the changes of property rights. In the empirical part of this thesis an analysis of important steps in the privatization process of the energy sector between the years 1989 and 2011 is carried out.
Energy stability of the European union

This paper focuses on problems of energy sector in the European union. Primary goal is the analysis of the EU position from the perspective of the most significant indicators, consumption, reserves, production, trade, etc. and consequently defining the perspectives of energy policy developement, defining their targets and measures. The paper is divided into four main parts. The first part is dedicated to the teoretical and historical insight of the phenomenon of consumption growth, with a focus on the relationship of GDP and energy consumption. Second part is dedicated to analysis of energy consumption in the world and in the EU, in numbers and the energy-fuel balance developement. Third part evaluates EU position by various primary resources and evaluates the importance and narrow points of their use in the EU area Last, the fourth part defines priority areas of european energy policy and evaluates the importance of the measures used to achieve goals
Application of new media including social networks on power company communication with its customers

The aim of master's thesis is to discover viable potential of using modern communication tools in power company with stress on using social networks. Subsequently real applications of new marketing tools on particular campaign are proposed. In the theoretical part of this thesis the communication campaign process is described with focus on modern marketing communication tools and their practical examples. The RWE company is introduced and basic characteristics of energy sector are mentioned. The practical part consists of RWE communication campaign assignment from 2008, summary of marketing communication tools used in it and proposals for application of new marketing tools on this campaign. An approximate budget and reach are estimated. The result of master's thesis is critical opinion on usage of new communication tools in power company and recommendation for applying them in the future.

This bachelor thesis deals with EU energy policy. The first chapter analyzes the development and current status of energy sector in the EU. The second chapter describes the development of EU energy policy and analyzes the main areas of cooperation. The third chapter focuses on some of the issues of energy security. Specifically, in this chapter, characterized primarily by the European Union's energy relations with Russia and major projects in infrastructure, that energy security is directly linked.
The Liberalisation of the Electricity Market in Poland

This diploma thesis deals with the development of the Polish power sector since the introduction of the first energetic law with the orientation on the electricity. It describes the development of the production sector, the distribution sector and the transmission sector. It is devoted also to the privatisation of the subjects that act on this market. This thesis deals with the development of the cross border auctions with the neighbouring countries, concretely the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. It tracks the development of the offered amounts of the capacities from the shortterm and longterm perspective. It describes the issue connected with the longterm contracts of the Polish transmission operator and its whole function on the market. It tracks down the electricity price development from the year 2000, it mentions the recent electricity prices of the Polish market and deals with the possible future price development.
