Lean production system
Kvasnicová, Pavla ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Boukal, Petr (referee)
I will be interested about lean manufacture and it's principes in this paper. The lean production itself and systematical product and process inovations are powerful weapon on today's market. Main part of my paper is a detailed description of principes used by Toyota. This company was the first business in the world who came on the market with these deeper and more intense implementations. The goal is to intruduce the topic of their system and show that implementing these principes isn't so expensive how it may look on the first side. I engage also history, a big part is given to our Czech manufacturer Tomáš Baťa in the introduction. Another part of my paper is given also to other systems that exist and Toyota didn't come up with them. Just like 5S and Six Sigma which phylosophies are the same.

Fazekaš, Michal ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Jendrál, Marián (referee)
My master's thesis consists of 2 main parts. In the theoretical part, I describe the most essential methods of Lean Management. I focus on the development of Just in Time, Kaizen and Jidoka in the Toyota factories, followed by an overview of other methods mainly TPM, 5S, TOC, Poka Yoke, SMED and quality management. In the end of the theoretical part, I analyze the impact of lean management on the financial indicators of a company. In the practical part, I analyze the management of processes in Harsco Metals Slovensko. I examine the efficiency of establishing lean management in the company and focus on the processes where I believe the above mentioned methods could be implemented.
Lean Enterprise
Trnovská, Lucia ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Košturiak, Ján (referee)
In the recent years, the ever changing economic conditions, be it on a global or local market, have caused an increasing amount of interest in management approaches. The new trend seems to be the implementation of so-called lean systems, and it is exactly the theme of a lean enterprise that this bachelor's thesis strives to delve into. The first part of the thesis focuses on portraying the historic events that led to the creation of the concept of a lean enterprise, its characteristics, basic principles, methods and elements that this enterprise applies in its functioning. It also delves into economic aspects that the process of leaning includes. The practical part focuses on analysis of lean elements implementation in the production company OMS, spol. s.r.o. This company is one of the largest producers of luminary products in the Central and Eastern Europe. In the recent years, it has realised a number of projects and changes in the area of leaning. Many of the systems have already been incorporated into the company, or are being prepared for that very purpose. This part also mentions certain problems that have occurred while implementing the lean elements, and possible solutions to these problems.
Problémy aplikace japonského managementu v ČR
Jankotová, Petra ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Štrach, Pavel (referee)
This graduation thesis' aim is to help reader realize and understand what makes Japanese companies, especially Japanese management style, so successful and competitive and what problems (challenges) may occur while applying the Japanese managerial techniques in the Czech Republic. Companies teaching and implementing Japanese managerial style were found and evaluated. While giving background information on Japanese economy and manners, basic description of chosen Japanese managerial techniques as well as examples of their usage in companies, the main idea is to find out what the prerequisites of successful implementation of Japanese managerial techniques are, how techniques can be implemented and consecutively describe possible obstacles at the application of the Japanese management in the companies outside Japan. The reason for looking for the prerequisites of successful implementation is the thought that not only managerial techniques themselves (their "technical side") are the key for success. It is also, and very importantly, the way how they are used. It is knowledge what "forces" are driving the success of the techniques. Therefore, in order to understand what the Japanese managerial techniques are and who the people developing and using them are about, I step by step gathered related information and in a summarized form wrote them in this thesis. Analyzing the information I was able to conclude that there are three prerequisites for successful implementation of Japanese managerial techniques. It is firstly a technical side of managerial techniques itself, secondly it is a psychological aspect (learning Japanese management also means learning pieces of Japanese culture and manners and only if that culture is understood and applied, techniques can show they full potential) and thirdly it is hard working.
Implementation of improvement methods of industrial production
NOVÁČEK, Tomáš
Nováček, T. Implementation of improvement methods in manufacturing. České Budějovice 2010. Bachelor thesis. Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích. College of education. Department of physics. Supervisor Ing. Michal Šerý. This thesis describes a real application of improvement methods in manufacturing. The methods are applied to the obsolete line having the attributes of industrial production 80th of the last century. The main objective of the project is to build a new, robust manufacturing process to a logical flow with adequate capacity of produce. Next, process must be effective and with low risk of customer complaints manufactured products. On this occasion, it was necessary to apply modern methods to analyze the current state and the future state. During the construction of benches are accounted and described the principles of ergonomics in order to minimize the burden on the line for workers and prepare them to working conditions that they work effectively achieved without losses.

In this work are prepared logistic data which are necessary for line transformation and possible design of future work stations.
The usage of selected logistic methods in the manufacturing concern
KOHOUTOVÁ, Anna
The main aim of this work was to rate the usage of selected logistic methods and introduction of the operating system Kanban to the production line in the project {\clqq}C214 Top Roll`` of the company Faurecia Automotive Czech Republic, s.r.o, Interior Systems. A minor aim then was to find out the knowledge level of the Kanban method. Methodics Hypotheses: 1.The logistic flows used in the Faurecia company already function sufficiently enough, the proof of which is the stabilised production. 2.Using the operating system Kanban for functioning production, logistics and the whole company Faurecia is rather advantageous. 3.Training all the employees is a vital part in the process of introducing the operating system Kamban. Methods: deducion, situation analysis - collection of information, interviews, survey, questioning brief, modeling Structure of the practical part is following: company profile, character of pruduction and setting of the main logistical flows, determination of zones and stock sectors, process implementation and using of Kanban in the production line "C214 Top Roll". The first hypothesis can be confirmed by the situational analysis which evaluates the processing and logistic method. The individual methods {\clqq}met`` or {\clqq}nearly met`` the demands and because all the methods together partake of the production and the production has provided very good results in the previous months, we can consider the production being stabilised. The second can also be affirmed. If the production on a particular assembly line is stabilised, it is possible to introduce the Kanban method. Why not to use it if a there is a great advantage of this method in simplicity and lower production supplies which result in decreasing the total costs? It is beneficial for all participating on the production and for the Faurecia company as a whole. Third hypothesis can be confirmed as well. There has been a survey based on short questionaires and the knowledge of working and using the Kanban has been found inadequate. The best form of providing all the important information will be a training as a part of the process of introducing and using the Kanban method. Both aims have been resulted in stating possible recommendations and improvement suggestions: - production is stabilized, Kanban is possible to apply on 1.9. 2008 - training is necessary, meeting of responsible persons, control, messing, measures, - training of current and new workers, - motivation, communication improve, - system of regural records about information and control of chief (material and production planning)

Many Czech companies that adopted this philosophy do not reach such good results, compared to companies in Japan. Czech employee's do not accept it in good way. Thus the target of this thesis is to find out possible causes of this unfavourable situation. In theoetical parts, kaizen phiosophy and other related factors such as organizational culture are described. Furthermore, most frequent kaizen practice and its most important effects are described well as a brief history of it in Japan, USA, and Czech.
