This thesis deals with the research of consumer behavior and specifics of buyer decision-making process of Czechs during booking of their foreign holidays and methodology of market segmentation in tourism, or in the segment of cruises. Analysis of current trends and determinants on the supply and demand helps to build a competitive marketing strategy emerging of travel agency in the segment of cruises.
Analysis of Consumer Behavior of Women Internet Generation

The theoretical part of this thesis named "The Analysis of Consumer Behavior of Women in the Age of Internet" describes the contemporary state of social media. The greatest attention is devoted to Internet forums and their ability to influence the consumer behavior of women in the era of Internet. The thesis also deals with the use of Internet marketing on these social forums. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the survey centered upon the greatest Czech discussion server for women -- Omlazení.cz and carried out in the form of questionnaires. The results of the survey were analyzed and on their basis the effect of individual discussions on the purchase of certain products was revealed.
Irrationality in purchasing behaviour

The aim of the work titled ?Irrationality in shopping behavior" was to realize several experiments aimed to confirm the irrationality in the shopping behavior and then make cross-cultural comparisons. To allow the comparison of results, were selected experiments already performed by Dan Ariely with American students. During the works were progressively evaluated predetermined hypotheses.
Effects of price shocks to consumer demand: Estimating the QUAIDS demand system on czech household budget survey data

Impacts of Consumer Behavior Theory on a Start-up Business

The thesis presents a general examination of Engel, Blackwell and Miniard's model of consumer behavior, elements of consumer behavior, consumers' attitudes towards health and nutrition issues, and practical application of those findings in development of marketing strategy and tactics for new restaurant concept located in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovak Republic and focused on professional and recreational athletes. This thesis shows main characteristics and specifications of consumer behavior. It describes relations and psychological motives that exist between human sensory systems and consumers' purchasing process. Thesis is based on comparison between theory and reality in consumer behavior. The main aim of this work is to build a basis for development of comprehensive marketing strategy for FitHouse RestaurantsTM, a newly established restaurant concept aimed to provide proper nutrition for professional and recreational athletes. Partial aims of first - theoretical part are to examine consumer behavior and specify consumer's purchasing process in several steps. Second -- research part aims to identify elements that influence consumer decision-making process and attempts to put them in perspective of a consumer opting for healthy lifestyle. It further aims to understand consumer through author's own online survey on sport, nutrition and attributes of an ideal restaurant for healthy lifestyle. Third - practical part presents framework for development of real marketing strategy for FitHouse Restaurants based on results and findings acquired in first and second part of the thesis. It presents ideas and tactics that will help FitHouse Restaurants attract enough customers and succeed on market.
The potential involvement of celebrities in marketing communication of selected product categories

The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the involvement of a celebrity in advertising is the right choice and also make recommendation for selecting the appropriate celebrity in advertising beer, more precisely, three specific brands (Pilsner Urquell, Krušovice and Staropramen). In the thesis I explain the basic characteristics of consumer behavior, reference groups, marketing communication, celebrities and marketing research. The application part focuses on the beer market in the Czech Republic and the brewing in 2010, further I pursue my own selection of brands of beers and I state a brief characteristic of both particular beers and businesses. I continue the content analysis and the analysis of my own research, whose main objective is to select particular celebrities for selected brands of beer, on the basis of characteristics and features of celebrities, which should correspond to the image of each brand.
The impact of changes in VAT on the market of books in the Czech Republic

This paper examines the impact of changes in VAT on sales in bookshops. Another aspect, which is being examined, is verification of SČKN study. Sales of books have been continuously decreasing from 2008 due to increasing rates of VAT on books in this study. The theoretical part is focused on VAT, consumer behavior on the market of books and influence of substitution effect and income effect on demand of books. It has been found out only a slight price increase of books by comparing the prices of books before and after the VAT increase. Econometric analysis of sales of Czech and Slovak bookshops did not confirm the impact of VAT on sales of bookshops. The bookshop sales are influenced by a number of other aspects, particularly GDP.
Deceptive Advertising and Analysis of Its Effect on Consumers

This bachelor thesis deals with deceptive advertising and its effect on consumers. The first part of this thesis describes deceptive advertising as a part of unfair competition, definitions, psychology of advertising and means to influence consumer's decisions. In the practical part the specific cases of deception in advertising are identified, including their demonstrations on examples. The following chapters contain the evaluation of the survey to determine consumer awareness of deceptive advertising, consumer's manipulability and their attitudes towards advertising. The conclusion summarizes the objectives of this bachelor thesis, there are also suggested other possibilities of further investigation and it describes the contribution of this thesis.
Purchasing decision process of consumers in the detergents market

The aim of my Master thesis is to analyze consumer process of purchasing decision in the detergents market. Through this aim I am trying to confirm or deny defined hypothesis by research. In theoretical part is detailed description of consumer behavior and marketing research. Next chapter is dedicated to specifications of main producers in the detergent market which is followed by my own research. To my research were used primary and secondary researching sources. Questionnaire was used as primary source. Analysis is accomplished through excel tabs and graphs. At the end of my thesis is a summary based on analysis and recommendations for the companies, which occur in the detergent market.
Factors influencing consumer decision on the selection of pneumococcal vaccines

This thesis deals with problems of vaccination, which is today a very discussed topic. Thesis is focused on general information about immunization, vaccine calendar, safety and legislation on vaccination. In the thesis is also examined public opinion about vaccination. The thesis is mainly focused on optional vaccination against pneumococcal infections. Specifically looks at the factors which influence consumer decision-making in the selection of pneumococcal vaccines. Compared are the two competing preparations, Synflorix and Prevenar. The objective of the thesis is to identify and compare factors influencing the consumer choice of vaccine against pneumococcal infections.
